We have just come back from a lovely 4 night stay at the Hotel Las Piramides. I really do not know what people are moaning about!!. The room was adequate for what we paid for, the staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and we did not expect this in with the price. Plenty of choice for all, and those who have moaned just moan for moaning sake!! Yes the hotel is a bit outdated but it is clean and it seems that the cleaners never stop, there was always people working and milling about. The pool area was also spot on, outdoor pool looked lovely but a bit cold for me at the moment, but went in the indoor and that was fine. Happy hour every night between 5.30pm and 6.30pm 2 for 1 drinks, with nibbles supplied, which went down well. Lovely quiet area, but still plenty to do, would definately recommend and visit again. Welldone Hotel Las Piramides!! Collapse
Good value hotel close to main town and a few minutes from the beach

Aware from other reviews that refurbishment work was still going on during my friend's and my visit , we took reviewers' advice and emailed hotel to ask for quiet room- and two beds - as Travel Republic only informed us after we booked that they could not guarantee this and we would need to contact hotel. Hotel helpful and our room was spacious and as per our requirements. Cleaning was on the whole very satisfactory.Staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfasts provided good choice and were plentiful. The coffee ( from a self- service machine) was not good and the teabags were apparently tasteless.( bring or buy your own). When we checked out after our two week stay the Receptionist did not reimburse our 20 Euro deposit for pool towels.I am currently negotiating the return of the deposit with the hotel.I shall let you know the outcome! Overall though good location near the castle and beach, good facilities, pools, gym, hairdressing etc. Collapse

Stayed at this hotel last week. The first thing I need to know is who in their right mind makes the classification for hotels in Fuengirola. This is not a 4 star hotel nor a 3 star but a rather poor 2 star. Now don't get me wrong the price I paid was only a 2 star price and having read the reviews before we went I did not expect any better but something should be done to stop people been informed that this is a 4 star hotel. Now the hotel is clean, staff are very helpful and courteous especially Sandra and Monica who seem to be constantly on duty and always very helpful. This hotel is very old and is really beginning to show its age, bad and damaged decoration old carpets that should have been thrown out years ago. One big problem is there is only I socket in the bedrooms, not good in this day and age. They are working on one of the blocks at the moment so maybe in time the rest of the hotel will be updated. We stayed on a half board basis and believe me the food is not of a good quality, breakfast is exactly the same every morning, nothing changes, its not too bad, but it need to be changed and freshened up and presented a whole lot better manner. Dinner is rather worse, not the best cuts of meats and always swimming in some sort of gravy, no real care or taught put into it, like putting on roast potatoes on the menue and then putting them in a steam Ban Marie,as well as chips. Presentation is very poor and the food is always cool, never hot and not even a microwave to heat it up. My top tip is to save your money and go to dinner outside in some of the very good restaurants outside. The food would remind one of a 2 star allinclusive hotel. Maybe when the renovations are finished it hopefully bring this hotel up to standard. Our stay was not bad in fact quite enjoyable and the location is good. I try to end with 2 questions, 1.. would I recommend this to a friend....NO, and, 2 ..would I return to this hotel... not at the moment Collapse

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in December just after the worst rain in years but we had some fine warm weather - the hotel was in a good position near to shops, bars & the beach - the entrance & foyer were lovely & stylish the rooms were a bit dated but cleaned everyday a small balcony & nice sized bathroom so the rooms perfectly adequate for our stay as we were out & about most days - breakfast was self service & plenty to eat - juices, cooked full breakfast, ham, cheese, fruit& yoghurt with toast & pastries aplenty tea & coffee machines to help yourself - we were happy with that - we used the pool area which was pleasant as it was low season no pool bar open but that was understandable plenty of sun beds & parasols it was quiet & not many about - they were working on another block refurbishing so was a little noisy but nothing too bad - happy hour in the bar was ok buy one get another free & a nice atmosphere in the bar & lounge where you could use the wifi - we really enjoyed our break & would return to the hotel again Collapse
