I returned yesterday from a lovely 10 day stay at Las Piramides. I decided against reading any reviews before booking as the location slap bang on the beach sold it for me. My room was on the 8th floor in the newly refurbished block, the design and feel of the room is minimalist with no fuss. Beautiful modern bathroom, constant hot water and lovely clean smelling towels. My only negatives are that there is no tea/coffee making facilities or fridge. The pillows were too high for me personally so i struggled to get a good nights sleep. The only mirror is in the bathroom - so ladies if you are sharing your room be sure to take a hand held mirror, you will find a full length mirror in the lift or in the toilets down at the lobby. There were a few grumbles in the restaurant from the guests about the food, but from what i saw they didn't have any trouble eating it! You need to be realistic, this is not a 5 star hotel it's not British hotel and you're not going to starve! The staff from reception through to the maids were very warm and welcoming, if you are friendly they reciprocate that otherwise they are polite and tend to your needs without hesitation. Management if you are reading this please say hello to Emilio, he is by far my favourite bar man & thank you for a very enjoyable fuss free relaxing break :) Collapse
A big disappointment

Back here after about ten years. Room had no safe, no fridge no kettle and very little space for clothes. Food for breakfast was very poor. Fruit available only melons! Big notice at entry, food taken out of restaurant will be charged to the account! decided to leave even though it meant paying for an extra night. Does not deserve 4 star rating. Avoid. Collapse

We had only booked for a weekend, I'm glad we did. The good points. . . Great location Spotlessly clean Lovely reception staff Lovely housekeeping staff Nice view Good bed Bad points. . . Room had a really bad smell of "diesel " I know strange but it was. We didn't complain, only 2 nights there and loved the room 1606. It was a suite. We just kept the doors open when we were in the room. Breakfast. . .an absolute joke!!! I have never experienced anything like that in my life!!! It is a free for all!!! You get your own cutlery, find a table, set your own table. The fried eggs swimming in oil, bacon inedible, wouldn't replenish at 10am, waited to see if any came out. . Nothing came. Coffee machine run out of milk, asked a waitress she pointed me to another machine, none in that either, spoke to her again she pointed to get another machine. Eventually got a Coffee, by that time breakfast was stone cold. The worst breakfast I've ever had. The waitress at the bar was the rudest lady I've met. Asked for 2 small beers, but could 1 have some lemonade in it. She refused as it was happy hour, 2 drinks had to be the same. It cost me 2 euros for 2 beers and 2 euros for a bottle of 7up!! Really happy. Would I go back. Probably not. If I did it would be room only as a fabulous location. Would of been a beautiful hotel in its day. They are refurbishing It, so may get better. Collapse

We are currently staying in the hotel for 10 nights and I can only say we are really enjoying ourselves! I don't know why people say the staff are unhelpful I have yet to find one of them who hasn't got a smile and a hello for you ! reception staff are lovely very approachable and even the cleaners always are courteous they also all work very hard ! We are staying in the main block above the reception room 510 the bathroom looks new the room is comfortable and clean !maid has been in everyday so far and has done a great job bless her ! There is a plug socket in the main room one in the bathroom and I charged my phone in the USB slot in the TV so no problems there ! We haven't tried the entertainment we like to sit in the hotel lobby bar it's so relaxed and open late and the staff here again are all lovely! Not heard anything from the building work going on in the other block I love the pool area and it is clean ! some of the sun beds look like they've been replaced some need to be looked at a few more would be nice ! We try to get near the bottom of the pool and we turn our sun beds so we can look out to sea and watch the world go by love that you can do this ! Breakfast is ok always found something toaster can get busy but there's no rush when your on holiday is there ? If you don't like the birds sit inside ! I would definitely return to this hotel in a heartbeat a few steps from the lovely beach and there's lovely bars and restaurants in both directions to try Now time for breakfast and getting on with my holiday ! I'm so glad we decided to stay here Thank you hotel las piramides for our lovely holiday xxx Collapse

Just back yesterday from 10days at this hotel, and before we went reading the reviews I was a bit worried as this was the first time at this hotel,as we usually went to another but it was fully booked, but on entering the hotel we were met by friendly receptionist easy check in,we were in a refurbished room on the 10th floor,it was really clean, modern with amazing veiws, the bed was comfy, enough storage space, spotless, the balcony had lovely garden chairs n a storage table not your usual white plastic you usually get,the toilet had a walk in shower, with modern sink and toilet.the only suggestion I would say is a full length mirror would just finish off the room.we did not have a fridge when we arrived but said at reception and they did not have one that day but was delivered next day no problem, the food that people complained off I'm sorry but could not find anything wrong with it,it was well cooked and hot which was a bonus, the meat was so tender, there was always chicken, meat, fish, and a pasta dish what else is there, the salad selection was great.Yes I thought it was entertaining watching everybody waiting on the gates opening in the morning to get to the sun beds to put there towels on then come back to have there breakfast, yes they need more sun beds but it is the folk that puts towels on then disappear for hours, overall would recommend this hotel to anyone .the staff from the reception ,maids, and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful,so please don't let other reviews put you off this hotel,as location is great.
