Everything from booking online, to checking in, selecting seats, printing boarding passes was all very easy. The price was also fabulous. On arriving at the airport this was the quickest check in desk we have used. Staff were all very friendly. The flight was amazing, I am an anxious flyer but the journey was smooth, the crew were friendly and efficient. At the arrivals our cases were through quick and clear Instructions for the Jet2 desk . Again the journey from airport to Hotel was quick and arranged precise. On arrival at the hotel again quick check in the room was amazing, clean, well equipped, comfy beds and daily services were impeccable, clean towels, bedding etc. We didn't have a fridge in our room and when requested we had one within 1 hour. Food was lovely at breakfast lots of choice. Again at dinner lots of choice and service quick, efficient and friendly. Overall upkeep and housekeeping and facilities within the hotel were 100%. The only fault was the pool area was not large enough for the size of hotel guests, but we are beach lovers so this did not effect us and the location from the beach was music to our ears. We had an amazing holiday and are looking forward to our next one with Jet2 Holidays of course. Collapse

In all honesty I never do reviews because I always think we all have different opinions and different standards but really feel the need to post this one, food awful, staff very ignorant, pulling plate from you when you weren't even finished, very basic rooms,we were a family of 3,a twin room which they had basically crammed in a single bed, which we had to move every time we wanted to go out onto balcony, bath water didn't drain away,no rubber on bottom of shower screen, therefore had to lay a towel down constantly caused it leaked, only 60 sun beds for full hotel, had to queue every morning to try and get 1,cleanliness left a lot to be desired, only every made the beds,,would not recommend and would never return Collapse

We stayed at the Las Piramides on the 18 July for 6 nights we were apprehensive after reading the bad reviews, I honestly dont know what these people expect. The hotel was very clean room cleaned everyday, we had a side sea view room. The staff were very helpful and nice we had no problems with them at all, the reception staff in particular. The cocktails in the happy hour were very good. We stayed Bed and Breakfast and the breakfast was sufficient and no different than any other hotel we have stayed in not a problem. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. | Collapse

in my opinion this hotel should never be classed as a four star hotel.the decor and overall condition is very poor.the restaurant was desperately in need of a refurb including cutlery and plates/bowls etc

Rooms shown on Website are NOTHING like the one we were given. These are Premium Rooms which are still being built alongside the original part. Our accommodation was one small room with balcony/sea view. Very small fridge, if you do go to this hotel ask for a second door entry card to keep electricity on constantly, or fridge will switch off, we found this out after making our own inquiries, nothing in room to advise of this. Fridge can take 2/3 hours to "kick-in". Room was cleaned daily but sheets were not changed once on our 10 day stay. Balcony and table were not washed down at all, Bathroom is Fair but the biggest problem for me personally was the Shower Over Bath. Again this is not the photo on the website, it shows a Walk In Shower Cubicle. i have arthritic knees and found it very difficult to climb in and out of bath. There is nothing to grab on to apart from the glass shower screen, which i found pretty terrifying. My husband had to assist me every time as I did slip a couple times, thankfully I was not seriously hurt. Towels will be changed daily at your request. The hairdryer is an accident waiting to happen. No ventilation/window in bathroom and condensation ran down the walls. The dryer gets VERY hot to hold after a few minutes (thankfully I have short hair) and I did receive a small shock on 2/3 occasions whilst unplugging it. The dining area is nice but the food does take a bit of getting used to eg Rabbit, lots of Pork and Chicken. Unfortunately I was quite ill on the 3rd day of our holiday, convinced it was food poison, but can't prove it (my Doctor has confirmed on returning home that it did sound very much like it). My husband took ill after me so we mostly ate out after that (extra expense). If we did use the Hotel, we stuck to soup, chips, salad and pudding. The breakfast also leaves a lot to be desired. VERY fatty bacon, scrambled egg was VERY watery. Again after a couple of days we stuck to toast, yoghurt, croissants and boiled eggs. The bread rolls are solid every morning/evening.The breakfast eating area has a big problem with pigeons and sparrows at your feet all the time. The pool area has a shortage of sunbeds (worse when new block is in use). Be prepared to queue for the gate opening at 9.30 when there is a mad rush for the best beds.Selfish residents were putting their towels down and then going elsewhere for a few hours? Lots of complaints re the Lifegaurd not allowing foreign children to keep t-shirts on in the pool or to use inflatables (rubber ring only) although Spanish families were?. Although free Wi-Fi is advertisd, this in the Lobby area only (not rooms) where sometimes it looked like a mobile phone convention! Please also note that there is one socket only in the bedrooms unless you unplug the lamp/fridge. Entertainment is not as advertised, all in Spanish, Flamenco Dancers were children who looked very uncomfortable. The gentleman playing in the Piano Bar..well all I can say is my 9 year old grandaughter could play better. Drinks a bit pricey 3.50 for a Pint although spirits etc are very generously poured. Lot of complaints re staff not smiling. Same staff from morning till night and they are kept VERY busy, so not surprising. Reception staff helpful considering they seemed to be constantly dealing with complaints. The Owner/Manager and family live on the 11th floor of the hotel. Did not see them eat in the dining room. Very dour and unhelpful. The beach is a stones throw away. 5 Euros each per day for a sun bed, so roughly £10 per day for a couple (adds up). The beach itself is very clean but not sand, it is shingle. The water is very deep after a few steps (not ideal for children although they do have a lovely Bouncy Castle etc set up a bit further out) which looked like lots of fun. Not sure of age restriction or cost. Shocked to discover the water freezing, have never encountered this is the Med. Lots of beach sellers constantly. The Hotel is located in a great spot, 2 minutes from beach and the 'Strip', although apart from the odd reveller is surprisingly pretty quiet at night. Although my review is not the most flattering, I just feel this should not be a 4* Hotel considering the cost of the holiday and further expenses incurred after eg eating out etc. I do believe that they have now actually been downgraded to a 3*. I am sure the Hotel was a beauty in its time but sadly it is need of a big overhaul. Maybe after the new block is built they can concentrate on the original. There is very little (if any) parking should you be hiring a car. We took a day trip into Gibralter which was lovely, cheap shopping as it is Tax Free. Allowance for cigs is only one carton per person and one litre of spirits per person. The Apes on the rock were so funny to watch. Collapse
