Really apprehensive given some of the reviews and did consider changing hotel prior to going. Receptionist was very welcoming and the reception area itself is lovely. Our room was a little dated but great value. A little sitting room then three beds in the bedroom, double balcony with a wonderful sea view and lots of wardrobe space. Bathroom was really quite modern with a good shower which was a bit of a contrast to the sort of 1970s vibe in the rest of the room. Good, efficient cleaning service. Again some of the communial areas of the hotel were a bit 70s but I loved it and brought back a real sense of nostalgia. Lovely and clean too. Outdoor pool is large but too cold for us in Feb. Indoor pool is in a poly tunnel and not a bad size, nice and warm too. I've got sensitive skin but had no reactions etc. Breakfast was good with lots of options, lots of drinks on offer. Yes hot dog sausages and Spanish bacon, but when in Spain! Absolutely no complaints. Went away full everyday. Evening meal, first night the translation was a bit off putting, something to do with pigs head and I thought there is no chance we would get anything to eat, but food was good with quite a bit of variety. Kids enjoyed it and liked the desserts. The only thing I would say is that there is a stain on the carpet as you go in (looks like paint or ice cream) which is slightly off putting so I would cover that up, in addition soup is in a bit of an awkward place and would benefit from a separate tureen located away from the main courses. Staff throughout were lovely, very friendly and smiling. Hotel is in a great location. I just can't criticise it at all, we had a great stay and would certainly go again. Like I say a bit 1970's in places but I loved that. Hotel is under refurbishment but that was the other block and didn't disturb our stay. Give this hotel a chance, go with an open mind and enjoy it. i picked this hotel for location and 4 star, well not what i would call 4 star, there was no tea/coffee in rooms, being an early riser had to wait til 7.30 for a cup of tea. I could have rented a kettle for 12 euros, found the little step in bathroom dangerous, i was ok, but speaking to an old couple, the lady tripped up. On last day had to catch early train, so went to breakfast at 7.30 had to wait for 20 mins for fried eggs to come out!! I got what i paid for but defo not 4 star. Also shower door had no seal, so if you wanted a shower the floor got flooded (see photos) Collapse

my wife and I had 5 nights half board in February, found the hotel ideal for our purpose having slight mobility problems, ramps next to any stairs (the most 3 stairs high) made walking very easy , the outer area is very level and 50 metres from the prom/beach ideally situated. The prom is very wide and modern pavements. We were on the 9th floor with a nice side view of the beach, our room was large, cleaned every day and very comfortable.Breakfasts catered for every taste and recommended, possibly a little more options on evening meal would be a bonus but we never went hungry. Prices at the bar were reasonable . All staff were very peasant and helpful. We would return to this hotel. Collapse
Nice Cheap & Cheerful Hotel But Definitely Not 4*

Just been to this hotel for a long weekend. It's very nice and quite comfortable. I think most of us know when we see 4 stars these days that it isn't. It has a pool so that probably makes it 3* but no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms probably makes it less than 2* The reception staff were pleasant and the check in process was quick. There are a big lack of lifts in this hotel, considering how many floors and rooms there are, you could be waiting for the lift for 10 minutes or more at busy times. They are doing refurbishments one block at a time to the main hotel isn't affected by them. Maybe there will be more lifts in the refurbished towers. Breakfast was adequate and easy to find something edible, the downside was the lids on the serving area were loose and didn't open back away from the bain marie, instead they had to be placed on the pots next to the one you wanted, meaning that other people had to wait to get to the pots covered by your lid. We paid a very small extra charge for half board but I'm glad it wasn't a lot as the food in the evening was terrible. We went later in the service and the food was cold and not very nice at all. We ate there just that one time in the evening and went out on the other nights. The location is handy for the beach, shops and restaurants, and is fine if you're on a budget. Collapse

Short stay with our son. Apart from a comfortable and social reception/bar area, the facilities were dated. There was a strong smell of bad drains in the bathroom which the cleaners tried to mask with an overbearing air freshener. Beds and bed linen were basic and once again dated. Made a Premier Inn feel plush in comparison! Breakfast was adequate and whilst not advocating waste it was somewhat disconcerting to see the staff sifting through leftovers to pull out unused butters and jams. Indoor pool didn't appear well maintained and we had debris from the renovation of the second block cascading onto the cover. Not somewhere we'd return. Collapse
