We spent a nice week in Fuengirola but the accommodation was really not optimal. Location was excellent but the first impression of the hotel was such that it was originated from the Soviet Union. The building was dilapidated, the decors and the furnishings had definitely seen their best days and the bed was really hard and you could feel the strings of the mattress. Restaurant table cloths had holes in them and they were not changed even daily. Hotel staff was impolite and sometimes even rude. Not even the receptionist spoke very good English: when we asked more coat hangers to our room they brought us laundry bags! WiFi was really expensive and they also charged ridiculous sum for using the safety deposit box in the room. Pool area was quite nice and view to the sea was beautiful, though view to other direction was an untidy parking lot.. One annoying thing was that you were not allowed to take the towels from our room to the pool but they did not have a possibility to even rent one. We had friends in other room and they had terrible smell in their room for the whole week coming from the air conditioning. The rooms were definitely not soundproof as we could hear which program the lady in the next room was watching and the "discussions" the guests coming from the bars had in the hallway. We had breakfast and dinner included and in the beginning they were quite nice. Though at the end of the week every food started to taste the same and for the last two nights we ate out. The food was quite British, as majority of the guests were Brits and quite many of them apparently live there most of the year. Collapse
Disappointed, definitely not a 4 star hotel

Stayed at this hotel with my partner for two weeks at the beginning of October. I chose this hotel for its location, near the marina, and the sea front. This turned out to the best feature of the hotel. Our room was on the 7th floor, and yes we had a lovely sea view, but unfortunately we were facing a row of bars and nightclubs and they stayed open until 4am, so it was very noisy at night. Our balcony was on the shaded side of the hotel, and we didn't get any sun all day long, quite dull and dreary sitting out there, looking up at the plaster flaking on the ceiling. The room itself was a basic hotel room, and the one good point was the excellent maid service, towels changed each day, bedding changed every few days, could not fault them. However, no complimentary toiletries in the bathroom on arrival, which I did expect from a supposed '4 star establishment', and the soap dispenser was empty the whole time we stayed there. Just two plug sockets behind the television, one for the television and one for the bar fridge. Just not good enough. Wifi had to be paid for, or you just went without. It cost 5 euros per day, 10 euros for 3 days, or 20 euros for 7 days, so worked out expensive for my two week stay. The hotel restaurant was always full and chaotic, it seems to cater for group party bookings, and they would have reserved tables. The problem was these groups, 40-50 people, would enter the dining room 'en masse' and be queueing for food all together, so not a very pleasant experience for us as a couple. It was more like a school canteen, with people pushing and shoving, and very noisy, certainly not nice to eat in there. The food offered left a lot to be desired, cheapest of meats, usually chicken drumsticks, turkey, rabbit. We had beef just once, and salmon just once, in the two weeks I stayed. I usually ate the salads, and was lucky if I had something to put with it, either a chicken slice, or some fish. The whole hotel was dated, shabby, and needs a complete 'makeover'. The sofas in the seating area next to the dining room, well I have seen better on sale in my local charity shop! They were ripped on the arms, well worn in other parts, and quite honestly a disgrace. The ladies toilets next to the dining room, were functional, but out of 4 cubicles, only 2 were usable. One was marked 'out of order' and the other one had no lock on the door, again this was the same for the two weeks I was there. In summary, I was left very disappointed with the hotel, the noise from across the road, the food, the general appearance, and the unfriendly manner of the hotel staff and waiters. I did not use the outdoor pool, so cannot comment. I would return to Fuengirola, as we both like the resort, but not this hotel. Collapse

Room was overlooking the bars which can be a bit noisy. Room was a good size and clean. Pool area was nice and spacious And hotel had a good bar/meeting area. There was an organic cafe right outisde. Would stay here again for a short break. Collapse

we arrived 30th September 2016 for a week the shower was broken so the first night we had to shower holding the shower head but they did come to repair it after I went to reception to report it. the room was big and it was clean there was no light on the balcony and I had to by candles to sit out on it at night the location was directly above the night clubs and strip clubs so when you go away with your mum for a quite week I really didn't want to be singing "living on a pray" at 4 am!!! The hairdryer broke halfway through the week and they came within 1 hour to fix it with sellotape so then I had to hold the dryer with a towel as it got too hot"!!! The food in the restaurant was a good choice but it was warm not hot but provided microwaves to heat it up. Apart from the noise the lack of hot food and the position the hotel was in we rated it a 2.5 star not a 4 star as was on the wall outside. The place of Fuengirola was a pretty nice town I would go back again but not to this hotel. Collapse
