Arrived at 11am and they kindly let us check in. Staff on reception friendly. We did ask for a high floor as I had requested via email but was not available on the quiet side sea view. However room had a good sea view and not too bad for nightly noise. Room 116. Rooms dated as is pool area n main areas except the restaurant. Bed was comfy and extra pillows provided straight away when asked. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Could not fault this at all. Good as we only went b n b. Staff all friendly and hotel in good location. Ok for a winter break at a reasonable price. Staff great. Breakfast great. Bed comfy. Roo. Dated. Pool area dated. If not in an even room number you will have noise issues. Collapse

We booked a four day break in this hotel. It looks reasonable but take earplugs. After reading previous reviews we asked for a pool facing room hoping it would be OK. Oh no it wasn't!! The view was of a car park - unusually ten or so brand new unlicensed Citroen vehicles - mixed with rubbish and broken equipment. The room was of a good size, but very scruffy. The bathroom had the ceiling paint falling down and no no slip mat in the bath for the shower. My husband very nearly fell. We had booked half board - mistake!!! The breakfast was ok but the evening meal was cold and meat very tough. Even my salmon was crispy where it had all dried out. We ate out for the rest of the days. We might be in our early 70s but felt very young compared to the other clients. "It's like an old peoples home" was the comment we heard several times. Friday and saturday evening unless you're going clubbing don't bother trying to sleep. We left at 3.30 this morning and the streets around the hotel were so crowded with party goers that traffic and police had problems. Collapse

Weekend trip to this hotel for friends birthday wkend...vary of ages 40's 50's and 60's, hotel was very old fashioned very tired looking...needed updating. Maybe because it was march but is definately an older persons hotel, not somewhere i would return to. Pool area very untidy looking, needed a touch of refurb....rooms very overheated. Couldnt fault the staff they are hardworking and pleasant. Dont think it warrants its 4 star basis....very noisy of a night with bars and clubs across the road open til early hrs in morning...view from room was nice Collapse

We arrived at the hotel las Palmeras about 8.30 pm the place was like a morgue very large entrance hall few very small chairs and settees placed around the walls to low to use we would never get back up out of the low chairs we where checking in when I noticed hotel info offering free upgrades so I enquired as we where there for 3 weeks but was shot down straight away stating their was a extra charge of 33 euro.s per night per person so we declined that offer and picked up our card key for 588a the small lifts stated they carried 8 persons but there was just 2 of us plus 2 small cases and the lift was full we arrived on our floor and room numbers where a bit bafferling we tried both ways before finding the right way the room was basic 2 single beds pushed together 1 very tiny Spanish pillow each small t.v 1 tiny low chair We returned back downstairs to have a few drinks before bed and again no one about may be the reason for that was the drinks they where charging 1 euro above the pubs outside .we decided to call it a night the place was deserted then we where woken up at 4 am by the youths coming out of the local disco.s and that went on till 7 am final chucking out time they sreamed ....shouted the lot no control whats so ever I reported the problem to reception who could,nt care less its just one of them things which happens I enquired about a room transfer which he stated no problem and was told to return at 9 am when he would have more details ,,,,,returned at 9 am and told to come back at 10am then ditto 11am then ditto 12pm then ditto 1pm then guess what told to come back at 2pm so that was a complete wasted day we returned at 2pm and was informed to go to our room and they would contact by phone we heard no more that day and decided to stay put then 5 days later we where just passing reception when we noticed the same pair on reception who where dealing with our room transfer and I thought lets have a laugh and enquired about our room transfer stating that we where still waiting for the phone call but also mentioned should we report the matter to management as it had taken some time and they could not help enough they stated the room would be ready within the hour and the room number was 522 frontage and sea view without any charge ,,,,,NOTE ,,,,,the charge when we first enquired 33 euro.s per night per person so we where glad we brought the subject back up again as we where passing ha ha ha but the room was still basic 1 very small chair and still 1 Spanish pillow each but it didn't stop the noise because at the front of the hotel there his 3 under ground disco.s the side street more disco.s strip clubs and loads music pubs which went on till late so this hotel his certainly in the thick of it then early morn you have the local rubbish wagon emptying the bottle bins then the water wagon washing gutters footpaths and then to follow the road brush goes up and down the front so you have no chance for a lay in this hotel requires triple glazing all walls sound puffing then if that was,nt all you have to put up with a very badly organised restaurant even the hotel don,t show the restaurant isn't in there own broacher it does show a restaurant which his closed and in the basement the staff in the restaurant look bush rushing up and down picking up 1 or 2 items of used pots without clearing the full table and resetting so the customers are all waiting for tables then you have problems with the toaster they have turned it low and removed the controls so now it has to go through 3 to 4 times to be toasted can you see the sense in that and then you have only part of a meal there his meat ...boiled potatoes green beans and that,s it you can,t add gravy because 5/6 days its fish soup so fetch more money to eat out I reported to staff the daily chef and showed them the cold ness of where they place the food the hot plates where either turned low or switched off but the chef just walked off even all the main plates where cold which did not help I pointed this out each day to staff daily chef then to reception and finally the hotel manager who stated he would look into the problem but it didn't change we have travelled all over the world and used a lot of hotels and never seen the problems this hotel has and certainly requires a make over through out from top to bottom this hotel will never see us pass through their doors ever again there was quite a few customers pooly and stayed in there rooms with tummy problems I wonder why ?????? so cancell or beware you have been warned //>>> Collapse
