The best knowledgeable and friendly reception staff I ever, yes ever, met. Hard to believe after 100’s of hotels but iT is true. We had a beautiful and affordable suite. Breakfast super as well. We only feel that the sauna should be managed more professional. Not naked means, not naked. This also applies to Germans....who seem to have made Mallorca a province of Germany. Collapse

I stayed at Las Gaviatos with my triathlon club for a week of fun and training. Our experience was superb. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and the 25m four lane pool on the hotel property allowed for many early morning swim sessions. The breakfast and dinner buffets also exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of healthy and tasty options to choose from. The location also allows easy access to some great cycling routes. And the spa and massage facilities allowed for some much needed rest and recovery. Hotel staff were always accommodating, even allowing us to host a club sprint distance triathlon including the setting up of transition zone on the property. We will definitely be back next year!! A beautiful and well equipped hotel with great location. The staff on the desk and throughout are attentive and friendly. The rooms are VERY large, clean and because the region is mountainous, all views seem to be pretty nice! Pools are large, and even though it was winter, you could swim in the lap pool as it is slightly heated. Breakfast is amazing. Dinner, just average. We only ate at the hotel as it was low season, so many restaurants were closed. This did make things a little difficult as this part of Mallorca is incredibly quiet in the winter. Don't expect a busy beach, lots of shops or restaurants open at all. Overall, the hotel was exactly what we needed for a sunny winter break. Will hopefully be back sometime soon to experience it in the summer. Collapse

I stayed at the Las Gaviotas Suites in May 2017. I loved this hotel, location is great, few minutes walk to the lovely beach. The staff were courteous, and helpful. I travelled by myself and they gave me lots of tips for local travel, restaurants etc. The hotel rooms were very clean. Little touches such as dressing gowns in bathroom were nice. The pool area was nice, clean, and reasonably quiet. Great little bar/pool café area, which does great food. I must say the walls are a little thin and I had a noisy neighbour who was playing music ridiculously loud late at night. I think just unlucky. I loved sitting out on the balcony each morning having coffee. I brought my own little travel kettle and bits as they don't have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The air conditioning unit is spot on. A welcome cool down after a hot day in the sun. I didn't particularly like the restaurant, its a bit canteen like, but I cant complain regarding the food. It was a great breakfast. I loved this hotel so much that I am staying again in June 2018. A definite must for Mallorca. Collapse

We arrived here at the end of March for a 5 day/4 night stay. The timings for our flight were quite early and we arrived at the hotel before check-in opened without alerting them. This caused us some worry but was no problem! The reception staff were extremely polite, greeted us like old friends and didn't make us feel as if we were inconveniencing them. We checked in without a problem and were given information regarding breakfast, dinner and WiFi, along with our room cards which clearly stated our room number. We were also surprised to be upgraded to a suite with a balcony that looked out onto the beach, having only booked a standard double room. Most, if not all, rooms have a balcony but many look out onto the outdoor pool. We were given directions to go up to our floor and someone would be waiting near our door to guide us. Luggage wasn't taken up for us but we were more than able to take it ourselves. The room was clean, spacious and airy. One of my few issues would be the bed! I expected a double bed but it was two singles pushed together which happened to slide slightly apart during intimate moments! There were also two single duvets instead of one double - while there was no duvet hogging from my partner, I would have preferred to have one double. It wasn't that big of a deal though, something I've come to expect within Europe. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The weather was a bit chilly and we found that the heating wouldn't warm the room up as much as we'd like, so that was a slight issue. Beds were made and room cleaned daily. The fitted wardrobe(s) parallel to the bathroom were massive! Walk in shower with water reaching the temperature I like, gowns and multiple towels given. There was a mini fridge in the room which kept our drinks cool. The hotel has multiple pools outside, including a professional swimming pool with four or five lanes. The only pool that was being used was the professional one as it was unfortunately too cold to take a dip in the others. Although we later found there was a small indoor thalassotherapy pool which was heated - we used this to unwind everyday after our long walks! The sauna and steam room are also very good and were used just as often. They offer massages but we didn't opt for those. Breakfast was good; a selection of fruits, cereals, pastries, eggs, juices etc. Dinner, however, was very disappointing! We decided to eat in one evening; a mediocre buffet for €20 per head (if I'm remembering correctly), not inclusive of drinks. We ate out every night after that. Aside from the few issues of personal taste, our stay at this hotel was great. Upon checking out, we had some issue with the coach meant to pick us up. The non-English speaking gentleman at reception helped us out tremendously despite there being a language barrier and called around to find out that our coach was a little late but on its way. We can't fault the service we received here by staff we had personal interactions with. Great location, a few minutes walk to the beach. If we're ever in Playa de Muro again, we would stay here.
