We were unfortunate enough to suffer a weather related flight delay so need somewhere to stay quickly. Found this place on booking.com and left the airport after many hours waiting not really caring what we would find as "any port in a storm" mentality had kicked in. What a truly lovely surprise we had. On arrival the check in staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful ( a marked difference from out holiday hotel in playa Blanca), our room was nice, clean and spacious. My only one criticism was the lack of air con but it was only one night. The pool bar was again clean and tidy and the drinks not badly priced. The restaurant offered good quality food and was again well cared for. A big thank you to all the staff for making our one night emergency stay pleasurable. Collapse

I have never wrote a review on tripadvisor as I often feel people can be quite picky, however after the holiday I have just had I felt I had to come on here and write a review. I go on holiday quite a lot and I am easily pleased as I just like to get away, but the hotel I have just stayed in was beyond disappointing and I feel like I need a holiday to get over the stay. I read some reviews on Lanzaplaya before my stay and I thought I would give it a go despite what I had read, but I fully agree with everything which has been said. We stayed all inclusive however had to eat out everyday instead as we felt the food was inedible and a very poor standard, I don't know how anyone can say they have a wide variety? The food was cold, very limited choice, glasses we're dirty and the place spelt so bad. Obviously as we paid extra to stay all inclusive to then have to spend a lot of money on eating out was very disappointing. I thought the fact you had to pay for snacks at the bar was absolutely disgusting. The pool sunbathing was a joke. It felt as though English people we're not welcome. Everyday we walked to the pool we was just stared at as though we shouldn't be there. People reserved sun beds from very early in the morning and then would not sit at them all day. The one day we actually got sunbeds we left our towels on them for 20 minutes maximum while we went back to the room and we came back to a sign on our beds!!!! I have been to Puerto Del Carmen 5 times previously and stayed in other locations and thoroughly enjoyed my stay but this location was terrible. If you want to be kept awake by music until 4am then this is your place. Rooms also did not feel clean - towels and bedding was changed VERY little. Please listen to this review, I never write reviews on here but really felt I needed to after this holiday. A massive waste of money and disappointment - was so happy to be home! Collapse

Upon arrival we was told our room wasn't ready there had been a problem with many guests arriving and for 1 night only we had to stay in sistering apartments just across the road. This wasn't a problem for us family of 3 however I can imagine some families wouldn't be best pleased. We got free wifi for 3 people to compensate for the duration of our stay which we appreciated with a 4 year old for his kindle! If I was paying for it I wouldn't be too happy as it did pick and choose when it wanted to work. 1pm the next day our new room was ready. Literally by the pool room 7105. Perfect right next to the pool, pool bar and the restaurant and it also had sun throughout the pay on the patio. We stopped all inclusive. I can't fault the taste of the food it was all cooked lovely we didn't have a bad meal. With a 4 year told we did struggle to find something suitable but we was able to find at least 1 thing he could eat for each meal. But the food itself is really nice. The staff also brought requested drinks to your tables which I thought was nice. I was surprised that the all inclusive pool bar snacks were a sandwich in cling film or some biscuits however you could purchase things like hot dogs and onion rings. Except for the reception staff which are lovely I felt the pool bar staff and the restaurant staff just dealt with you. They didn't really smile and interact with us. Maybe because we was English. We travelled 5/10/16 to 9/10/16 the weather was about 26 throughout the day and about 22 at night it was lovely. There was no entertainment on at the hotel but il guess this is because it's October? There is a small hair dryer in the bathroom which is actually quite good. We didn't rent a safe, pool towels or a fan but they are all available. Complex literally 2 minutes walk from the main road where you find endless bars and restaurants! My only down side other than the staff would be outside our room must of been where the cleaners left their daily bin bags when cleaning the rooms. To be honest I think they had towels, bed lining and recyclable rubbish in them not general waste but it still doesn't look nice seeing piles of bin bags outside your room all day everyday. Considering we was right In front of the pool. The hotel could do with changing this in my opinion. We are looking at booking here again for February/March 2017. All in all it was fantastic, spotlessly clean and great food. Collapse

Quiet apartments on a small hill just off the PDC main strip. Pool large but cold, plenty of sun beds at any time of day, pool bar with hot snacks to purchase & a few pool tables beside it. No entertainment but as you're in the centre of PDC you can go out when you want. Rooms are either 1 or 2 bedrooms with the bathroom in between them & the living/kitchenette area that leads out to either a terrace or balcony. Kitchen is usable & what you would expect anywhere. Rooms are a bit dark & dated but clean & though I didn't see any maids about they were cleaned 5 times a week & if you pile your towels on the floor at the door they'll change them every day. Reception staff were pleasant & helpful, pool barman made a point to engage with everyone & get a smile from all. The apartment complex seems to veer towards more Dutch/Swedish guests but its not a problem. Don't think we would make a point of staying here again but it was fine whist we were there. Collapse
