Had an extremely enjoyable 4 night stay at our favourite hotel in Provence - Weather was particularly good for this time of year and the heated outdoor pool was a great experience - Hotel staff very welcoming and in particular Stephanie on reception looked after to all our needs in a very pleasant manner- The room we booked had a large terrace overlooking the most attractive garden area and was well appointed with its own large bathroom and shower area. We were so pleased with the holiday that we are now planning to revisit next summer with our extended family to celebrate a big birthday- Collapse

We booked the hotel for its location and the atmosphere the information on its website provided. We found the hotel easily enough, well sign posted, even in the dark. We were warmly welcomed. The entrance provided the atmosphere and the room we were shown fully supported it. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the evening meal, either from the menu or a la carte was excellent. Would we return, definitely as the region has so much to offer as does the hotel. Collapse

I had an enjoyable short break here and without exception the staff were extremely helpfull, friendly and attentive. It was a great hub to explore the region from and even in October managed to use their clean, heated outdoor swimming pool and sit in the late afternoon sun. The buffet breakfasts were delicious and the one dinner I had there was good and most professionally served. Collapse

We stayed for one night in this fabulous Hotel. Friendly attentive staff and great accomodation, Situated in the old Villenueve Avignon just 10 mins from Avignon city The Hotel was an oasis of peace and tranquility We were upgraded to a suite on our arrival and it was lovely and spacious We did not dine at the hotel restaurant as we were still busy sightseeing in the old town but the breakfast served in the garden was very good. There is an outdoor heated pool to cool off in after a hard days sightseeing. Everything was lovely and we wish we could have stayed here longer Definitely recommended Collapse

Just back from a 3 night break to Avignon! Excellent trip down on the Eurostar to Avignon and then a 10 minute taxi ride to the hotel. First impressions of the village of Villeneuve les Avignon, in the taxi as we drove through- perfect, little restaurant, cafes and bars, delightful for al fresco drinks and eating! First impression of the hotel, (slightly out of the village but an easy 10 minute walk, infact perfect distance to stroll there and back) again delightful. My husband had contacted the hotel before and asked for a room overlooking the garden, the were happy to oblige. The room was very nice but the view from the balcony was rather gloomy and the large concrete flower planter on the balcony was a bit of an eyesore , it was full of old soil - nothing planted, not very attractive! In hindsight I think we would have preferred a room overlooking the pool- next time! On the first night we had dinner in the rather formal dining room, we had hoped to have dinner outside but apparently it wasn't warm enough? Even though it was a lovely balmy evening and was very warm in the restaurant? Only negative was that the price of wine in the restaurant was very expensive, the prices strarted at 21euros for a half bottle, beware! The food was good. Breakfast on the outside patio was great, with a fantastic selection of pastries, fruit, yogurts, cheeses, cold meats eggs and bacon! Outside space, the gardens were a little unkempt, but the pool area was perfect. We didn't have a car, we just walked everywhere. Abbey st. Andre in Villeneuve les Avignon is worth a visit and the brocante market on a Saturday morning a must, just walking around the small streets of Villeneuve les Avignon and having a drink sitting outside one of the village bars was great. We also ate out in the village at cafe St.Marc , would recommend for service, atmosphere and food! Avignon is worth a visit, too far to walk so just got a cab . All in all a great 3 night break! Must also mention wifi at the hotel is very patchy, good days and bad days! Collapse
