Feel like a true "King" at a "Prince" price

My wife and I booked this as a "baby moon" before our first child and we were truly pleased with the experience. The main reason we booked this hotel was because it is Kosher and it is an absolute MUST for the observant Jewish traveler. Everything is taken care of: beds (family purity), mikveh (in the spa - not sure if it is chabad or not), davening, shabbat, food, literally *everything*. While this is sometimes taken for granted in Israel and maybe Miami beach, it is a true lifesaver when you just want to "go" and not worry about the details. My wife explained it as, "feeling at home". We had a standard room, and it had all the basics but it could have used more coffee pods for the morning, but the buffet has 4 types of coffee otherwise. The furniture and fixtures were clean except one couch pillow had a bit of a stain. We were on the 1st floor but the hot water was hot and had great pressure, my wife absolutely loved the soaps and shampoos given. Mini bar is completely reasonably priced except for the chocolate which was 3x the price of anything else. The only thing that was a bit annoying, but totally out of the control of the hotel, is that the train is nearby and runs starting at 5am and ends around 10pm. So if you are a light sleeper in the morning either get a room on a higher floor or bring earplugs. Otherwise it was quiet, cool, and comfortable. My wife and I got massages and it was clean, super reasonable priced, and it was good. I felt very refreshed and healthy afterwards and my wife's prenatal massage had her relaxed and de-stressed. We didn't use the other facilities but they appeared clean and maintained. The food was absolutely delicious (bring large sized pants you might gain some weight), we had half board, and the masgiach is a real mensch. He speaks English, Hebrew, and I'm pretty sure Yiddish. The staff is extremely helpful but their English was much much better than their Hebrew, so if your english is not great you may want to seek out the Hebrew speaking staff (all the signs, documents, guides are in both languages). The hotel was in a great location, super close to bus, train, and metro. It does take a while to get to the airport because the main road to the airport is NOT a highway, so give yourself time. We used Uber POP to and from and it was 370CZK there and 600 CZK back (surge pricing), metro is 45CZK but you need to transfer to bus 119. While I highly recommend this hotel to the Jewish traveler, if you are not "Kosher" do not worry it is a super, super nice and you will enjoy it nonetheless. Prague is an amazing city and you will not regret going! Collapse
This hotel was definitely overhyped

Not a 4 STAR hotel. The most a 2.5. I love kosher food, but their breakfast was HORRIBLE. Although I paid for my family's meal, every day we went out to get breakfast. Rooms were old, hallways beat down. Entrance carpet and door were dirty and non functional. NOT WORTH THE PRICE I PAID. I could have stayed closer at the same price. The pool.....as a guest you have to pay 10 euro to utilize the pool. LOL. I will definitely come back to Prague, but I will not stay at this hotel. Collapse

We arrived at the King David and were quite shocked that the first thing we needed to do was climb a flight of stairs with our luggage in order to get to the front desk (!). After getting a few of our suitcases up the stairs a kind bellman came to assist. The staff was exceptionally wonderful and did their very best to insure we had what we needed all with sincerity and kindness. The rooms were definitely better than we expected. They were spacious, modern and roomy. The beds were particularly comfortable. The food was decent. We didn't leave meals hungry, but we weren't overly impressed either. At one meal, we arrived towards the last 20 minutes of the seating and there was barely anything left and it was pretty embarrassing for this caring staff. The location was pretty good. A bit off the city's main center, but only a few walking minutes to be in the heart of things. Collapse

The hotel is located in the center of all the main places. The service, the rooms and the food are very highly qualified. This hotel made our Prague experience better then we imagine. Really recommended for all and especially for religious jews.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with my sixteen year old daughter and we loved it! I arranged an airport pick up thru the hotel and we were greeted upon arrival with a sign and a very friendly driver and a clean car. A great experience having first flown from New York to Zurich and then changed planes there for Prague. The hotel exceeded all expectations and I have traveled extensively around Europe. The front desk helped with everything explaining all there was needed to know about Prague including recommendations for places to visit. The room was beautiful and clean with thick feather duvets and crisp sheets and pillows. The bathroom was great with plenty of high end toiletries and fresh soft luxury towels and slippers! The breakfast could have been the King David Jerusalem....plentiful and delicious with different kinds of prepared eggs, sharshuka, salads, pastries, breads, jam, hummus, fruit, yogurts, cereals, fresh juices, cheeses, lox and cappuccino coffee on request. A great start to your day. Some reviews mentioned the steps up to the lobby but upon arrival and when we departed our bags were carried by staff without so much as our needing to ask for assistance. In the lobby there was a nice selection of pastries and dried fruit and ice water for guests. Great location to city center and since we were heading to Vienna by train the railroad station was a convenient five minute walk from the hotel. It was great to be in Prague and have a fantastic kosher breakfast before going out for the day. I would recommend this hotel for a great stay in a beautiful city. Naomi D. Riverdale, N.Y. Collapse
