Overall a great experience for a couple at this beach resort with nice bars/restaurants and a lovely beach area. The pool was small and was always occupied by kids. The water sport facilities are available in the resort. Only issue was having to pay $15 per day for parking but this was heavily outweighed by all the positives.Lovely room with 2 big beds and a nice balcony. Loads of choice on TV channels & good free wifi! Good location. Would definitely return! Collapse

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Key Largo Bay Marriott. We didn't know what to expect after reading some mixed reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We paid for an upgraded room with ocean view and it was perfect for our 2 teenagers. We had a king bedroom and second bedroom with 2 queen beds. Room also had a full kitchen, living room, and large bathroom. The pool and poolside service were great for families with children. The hot tub was nice and not overrun by the kids. We had breakfast and lunch on the grounds and each was good. The lobby is a bit strange in that it seemingly isn't set up to comfortably accommodate the employees so they aren't always behind the desks. But there were always drinks, waters, goodies to be found there when passing thru. We went snorkeling with Ocean Divers which is conveniently located right on the property. They offer an array of water activites. Captain Tuck & crew were wonderful on our trip out to 2 different snorkel locations on the Atlantic side. We also rented paddle boards from them one afternoon. We found Ocean Divers to be a great company to work with and highly recommend them. The Key Largo Bay Marriott is an older property but we found it perfectly fitting for the Keys, clean, & comfortable. We will definitely be returning. Collapse

We booked moths ago for the week and had hoped to book a 2 bedroom suite but none was available. Even a week before we arrived, we tried again to see if a cancellation would open up for us, but still nothing. We were traveling with another couple who would stay at another resort on non-Marriott points if we couldn't arrange the 2 bedroom at the Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort. Upon check-in around 3:30 PM our single room suite was not ready and again we asked about the possibility of the two room suite and was told none was available. The check-in manager Debbie, was apologetic about the room not being ready and asked us to take a walk around the property and they would soon have it finished. After just a few minutes down by the pool and the beach, we all returned to the lobby and to our amazement, Debbie said that she would be able to upgrade our accommodations to the two room suite so that our friend could stay with us using our Marriott points. This completely changed our vacation experience! We were able to visit more with our friends, saved time and money for our friends and generally had a fantastic time all because Debbie was able to find an unreserved room for us that week. The resort was friendly, the views were just what we had hoped for, peaceful and a beautiful balcony vantage point for a cup of coffee each morning! Thanks Marriott and Debbie for the great week! Unfortunately, this "resort" didn't meet our expectations, certainly not at the spring break prices we paid. The room itself was nice...spacious and modern. However, we were disappointed that our balcony, island view room (at an upcharge) gave us a great view of the parking lot. Service wasn't great either...despite 2 calls to the front desk, our room did not get maid service until after 5:00PM our first day. The pool area is nice enough, but is on the small side and showing its age. It was fine, I suppose, but just didn't have the feel of a resort in this price range. From the beach, we did see spectacular views of the sunset. Collapse

This stay (in February) was our fourth, maybe fifth. Some parts were the same, but it's really gone downhill. When we checked in, there was no luggage rack in our room. The one they brought was broken. There was no table in the room for a room service tray. The beds were awesomely thick, but the sheets weren't big enough so they tended to come off the corners during the night. There is now a parking fee per day of $16.13. Seriously? But the biggest complaint we had was that our room wasn't made up in a timely fashion. We were out of the room from 11 am to 4 pm each day. After I had to call the first day, I really expected them to fix the problem. However, the next day was the same and I had to call again. We had to sit on the balcony while the room was made up (no vacuuming, just bed and bath). NOT what I expect from a resort for which I paid over $400 per night (including parking). The rest of the stay was as expected. Service on the beach and at the pool was awesome. Kim was our server and she should get a raise. :) Collapse
