The hotel is situated in the middle of the long stretch of beach, making access to the north and south sides of the seafront easy. Accessing the beach is a minutes walk across a main road and small walkway. There are two pools. Aqua aerobics and water polo are amongst the daily activities in the adult pool. The children's pool has water features and three slides which keep little ones occupied beyond just a paddling pool. Sun beds are new and clean. Towels can be rented for a 100 dh deposit per towel, with a fresh towel available upon request. The towel attendants also double up as the pool attendants. The entertainment team work really hard day and night. They take time to get to know and care for hotel guests. It is clear they have limited budget and resources but do a good job with what they have. In particular we found Adil very helpful, friendly and caring. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The children and hotel guests really seem to warm to him. He is a true asset to both the entertainment team and wider hotel team. With the odd exception, we found all the hotel staff from catering, reception, concierge etc hard working and friendly. Almost all staff speak Arabic, French, English as a minimum. There is a spa at the hotel which we did not use ourselves but heard mixed reviews from other guests. Based on our stay there are a few downsides that really let the hotel down, that with a little money and effort would greatly improve the overall experience. The description of the hotel lists things we did not find. For example, mini bars in rooms - there is a fridge but no mini bar, laptop safe?, satellite and cable channels (there are but very limited), air con (yes but no good if turned off!). We were told on arrival there is room service available but there is no menu in the rooms and this is not listed as a service so not sure here.... We found room cleaning rather lax. The balcony railings, table and chairs were filthy on arrival and after 3 days we realised the room maid was not going to clean these so we resorted to cleaning ourselves. Spillages of drinks on the bedside tables were not cleaned and neither were the bathroom and wardrobe mirrors. Safes are available in the rooms but we feel charging for safes (as Kenzi do, 175 dh for the week we think) is an insult. Guests should not be charged to keep their valuables safe. The children's club needs improving with more activities available. There is a rather large activity hut that was not open once during our stay. There is also a small park with a few swings and slides and this could be used for children's club activities too. Generally a bit more budget in the direction of the entertainment team could be put to good use. There is an air cooling system in the rooms as well as air conditioning but throughout our stay the air conditioning was turned off throughout the hotel. We know this from talking with many many other guests and reception. Apparently it was not hot enough for the air con to be turned on but the hotel need to remember that they are catering for a European market so whilst it may not be hot to native Moroccans, us Europeans can find the heat by the pool most enjoyable but highly uncomfortable in the bedrooms. Also, the balcony doors do not lock and we felt this a health and safety issue for families with smaller children. The lifts are old and seem to be constantly breaking down. One working lift for a 7 storey building often left us waiting a long time to get too and from our room. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant is seriously lacking. Everyone we spoke to were very let down (being polite here) with the food available. Breakfast is the same everyday with no variation at all. Unlike other hotels, there are no sausages, no mushrooms, no soft cheese (ie laughing cow triangles), no argan oil, no fruit at all with the exception of melon (every day), and on several occasions the milk in the urn (for cereals) was sour which clearly indicates poor storage and/or stock rotation. There is fresh orange juice squeezed on request at breakfast but the oranges used are small and bitter (unlike other hotels using the biggest, sweetest juiciest Moroccan oranges). The salad for breakfast is the same for lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner again offer a lack of variety, and the salad for breakfast is the salad for lunch and dinner. Often the same vegetable is used across the dishes available but cooked a different way so if you don't happen to like that vegetable your lunch/dinner choice will be seriously limited. We don't feel this is necessarily an issue with the skills of the chef but again more of a budgetary issue. We find it particularly odd that there is no fruit offered throughout the hotel other than melon, given the fact Morocco is a huge fruit producer and fruit is eaten in huge quantities in general. Also odd is the ice cream freezer which is empty bar once when there were two tubs of ice cream on offer. Other hotels offer amazing patisseries and deserts but again these are not on offer at Kenzi. In summary for us, location and children's pool save this hotel from coming somewhere towards the bottom of our picks in Agadir. We have stayed in much much better hotels at lower prices. It's a real shame as we both feel it would not take a lot in terms of effort and budget to really propel this hotel to be one of the best. It has so much going for it. Collapse

Myself and my daughter first came to the Kenzi in Oct 2016, having enjoyed our holiday we decided to rebook for 2017, with this being the first of three holidays here. Check in The check in was fast and an easy process, we were given our room keys and 2 porters assisted us with our luggage, we were allocated a room on the 7th floor, the view over the promenade was beautiful, but.... this is a big but, as being disabled on crutches, the travel agency do put on booking low floor, this was quickly resolved with a room on the 1st floor. Restaurant Even thou the hotel was quiet, there was a wide range of food choices, the service was excellent. Pool Although a little chilly at times, the general cleanliness was very good, the pool guys worked really hard in keeping the area tidy and making sure there was always a supply of fresh towels. Bar Everyone was so lovely at the bar, our drink orders were remembered, a big thank you to Ozzie, Sophian and the other barman in the white shirt. Reception Another area where everyone was so nice, changing money was a simple easy process, everyone was so helpful as our room was initially short on light bulbs which once mentioned the situation was rectified very fast. Entertainment There is a great team here, from daytime to evening activities, showtime, these guys worked really hard, esp as the hotel was quiet, big thanks to anwar and Kali. Location A great location, easy to explore the area, there are taxi's outside, we visited the souk, marina, bird zoo, and croc park. Rooms Last but not least, we were in a twin room with pool view, (our favourite view), we had a twin room, the beds were really comfy, one of the best sleeps I've had in a hotel. There is a high standard of cleanliness from the cleaners, loved the toiletries in the bathroom. Looking forward to returning in July Collapse

Apols for belated review - I didnt realise it hadnt posted! I got a super last minute deal via Thomson for here. Really impressed with facilities - especially the grounds and pools, food and staff. A brilliant week. Very child friendly and the sunshine was incredible. Returned to the UK with Vitamin D levels topped up and although I wasnt keen on Agadir as a destination, the hotel was excellent value for money. I just wish they had let me buy the Moroccan lamps in the reception area off them as I couldnt find any similar ones in the bazaars or souq! Collapse
