This is a good place to stay while in Dubai... Close to everything you'd ever want... I stayed with my wife for 3 nights during our honeymoon and it was a great moment... My wife has never stopped talking about her experience...

Not quite the 5-star experience we expected

I booked a room for my parents when they visited in late Nov to early Dec 2017 as I had heard good things about the Kempinski brand. Booking was simple and straightforward - I’m a GHA member and get pretty good rates from the app. Checking in was a fairly quick affair if not for the couple ahead of us who took a good 20 minutes getting their room. The bags joined us in the room within 15 minutes of reaching the room. We got a Superior room, which was clean but a bit on the small side, with a view of the Mall of the Emirates air-conditioning system, which was a little disappointing, but that was what we got when we asked for a quiet, non-smoking room. Overall the stay was unmemorable, and there were several incidents that we were not expecting from a 5-star establishment: 1. On the first day, while resting in the room, a member of the housekeeping staff simply unlocked the door and walked in, without checking to see if anyone was inside. Good thing no one was caught in an embarrassing situation, but this should NOT be happening in the first place. 2. Someone from housekeeping, while cleaning the room, had thrown out my parents toothpaste, leaving them without toothpaste for the 2nd morning. While they made good with a replacement, I struggle to understand how housekeeping could throw out a brand new, large tube of toothpaste, knowing the room was occupied. 3. One set of toiletries for two people. Seriously? I’ve stayed in similar 5-star establishments, and adequate toiletries (e.g. toothbrush kits) are made available for the number of guests, and not on demand. 4. The breakfast, at AED150 per pax, isn’t particularly good value for money. The spread was so-so, and I’ve had better food in 3-star hotels in Paris. Save the money and go to one of the much better restaurants in the mall for breakfast instead. 5. On checking out, I realized that the hotel had charged me AED350 for breakfast. Given that breakfast is AED150 per pax and 2 were included in my reservation (I had joined my parents for breakfast on the first morning), I cannot understand how they arrived at the amount of AED350. For the record, I had, on the morning of the breakfast, informed the manager that breakfast was included in my room, but I was still asked to sign for 3 breakfasts. Anyway, the charge was corrected on checkout, but this is not the kind of mistake I’d expect from a 5-star establishment. In addition, while the hotel seems to be in an accessible part of Dubai, traffic to and out of the hotel is gnarly during peak hours, especially the latter when having to go through the Barsha area. Getting to the hotel from the old Dubai side of town via Sheikh Zayed Road is easy, but doing so from the Abu Dhabi side of town gets a little tricky since the exit to the roundabout gets REALLY gnarly. In summary, while the room was clean and comfortable, there are too many lapses in service that would leave me hesitant to recommend this hotel to anyone, especially at this price point (approx AED900/ night) Collapse

I’m a German journalist coming from Arabic roots part of my job that I travel all around the world I have stayed at Kempinski in Dubai and few things I wasn’t really satisfied with I always wanted to visit this part of Middle East Dubai But the hotel didn’t give me the feeling that I was in Middle East the front desk agents were well shaved and this is not part of UEA culture and traditions where men should have trimmed beards and the hotel is based in UAE so for my opinion the hotel should follow and respect those traditions so tourist and travelers would have the feeling of Middle East I understand that clean shaved look might be the hotel standers but this is doesn’t goes with the GCC culture and traditions I visited many hotels in Europe and Front Desk agents had trimmed beards and they looked very professional so I never thought in Middle East it would be different I guess the management of the hotel should consider this . The Kempinski Mall of Emirates hotel is attached to the Mall of Emirates and the convenience of this is amazing. Walk down to the reception and walk into the Mall. Besides the location, it is a wonderful property. We stayed in the grand Deluxe room for 6 nights and can only say one thing, EXCELLENT. The room was large and very comfortable, the service was outstanding, with small touches like fresh fruits and chocolates every day. The check-in and Check-out was smooth and fast. All requirements were looked after. The concierge was very helpful in all your requirements even down to taxi's at odd hours. The bed was very comfortable, however short people would have a tough time as the mattresses are very thick and they would have to climb into bed. The breakfast was fantastic and very comfortable. Overall a brilliant experience Collapse
