Lovely clean modern hotel with large rooms and massive beds! Food superb and staff very helpful and friendly. Spa treatment for a hamaam a bit rushed was out in about half an hour at a cost of 500dhs, but the result was very good. Not much in the way of a fitness centre. Would be very happy to stay here again, but would take a coffee mug as the cups are too small in the restaurant, and that's my only criticism! Collapse

I had a balcony which was a bit of a let-down with peeling paintwork on the railings. That apart I had a great stay. Collapse

We stayed hear for three nights which I've recently just returned from. The location worked particularly well, as it was very close to the airport, to the centre of Marrakech and close to the restaurants we had arranged to go to. The rooms were spacious but characterless, they offered everything you would require, however the sink drained outrageously slow and likewise the shower, I know to be expected slightly, however not when it creates a deep foot/leg bath. The staff were friendly, attentive, polite and would try to help with certain recommendations when required, however not mind blowing, slightly let down by the front of house. If you wish to go and relax by the pool all day, the outside area gets sun all day up to 15.30 as the sun drops behind the hotel, this was in early November. We found it a very quiet hotel throughout, which by all means was not a negative, however it completely lacks character or any type of 'buzz'/atmosphere. I wouldn't stay here again, but for the money I believe it to be very reasonable. Collapse
Had high hopes but was very disappointed!

My husband and I had booked Kech Boutique for our first wedding anniversary last October after a recommendation from a friend. We were therefore excited and very eager. Check in went well and receptionist Dina was polite and explained the facilities the hotel offered. We were happy with the superior double room with pool view, especially the size. The lights however are very dim in the bedroom and the doors leading to the pool wouldn't close properly. Also, WiFi is horrendous, even after complaining to reception during our stay, nothing was done to improve it. The morning after check in, I decided to use the pool, as any holiday maker would know the pool is a must do. At this time, the pool was empty. I must mention that I am a muslim and I wear a headscarf. To the pool, I wore a fully covered swimming costume including having my hair covered. Five minutes into the pool with only 4/5 people sunbathing, one of the waiters from the restaurant gestured from where he was stood that what I was wearing was not acceptable. I decided to continue swimming with my husband. After a couple of minutes, the same waiter came closer to the pool and said this thing you are wearing is not allowed and you have to take it all off to stay in the pool. We were both outraged at hearing this and asked him has anyone complained. His answer was no but they will. I was so upset as to how we were spoken to and the way we were treated as second class to all the other guests. I was in tears and my husband consoled me. I left the pool never to enter it again. I asked to speak to a manager several times during our stay and even said I would wait for him when told he was in a meeting. Only to be told go back to your room, he will call you on the phone. The call never came. There were no signs around the pool area to specify what was and was not allowed to be worn in the pool. The hotel's website also has no mention of this. We saw this waiter every day at breakfast and I received no apology despite him knowing the way I was treated was disgusting. I was looking forward to an amazing holiday in Marrakech with my husband and an amazing time we did have, just not at the hotel. We spent most of our time after the incident on tours and sight seeing. It is a beautiful city with beautiful mosques and a huge muslim population. It is however a big shame that hotels like this have complete disregard for their muslim guests. I hope you change your thinking. Living in the UK, I have never had any problems whatsoever going into swimming pools with a full swimming costume. It pains me to think that this may happen to other women and I would never want anyone to feel the way I felt. Collapse
Great Hotel with friendly staff!

As a last minute idea for my birthday, me and my partner decided to go to Marrakesh for my birthday at the beginning of October. The weather was amazing being 34 degrees almost every day. Our flight was delayed so when we got to the hotel it was almost midnight, but the staff are so friendly and welcoming at any hour. They opened the door and carried our suitcases inside. Check in was sorted within a matter of minutes and the bar sold cigarettes which was great as we had gotten there so late and no where was open. They showed us to our rooms and they brought our bags up for us. The room was spectacular, however the balcony area could use some TLC but we didn't use it much, although there were two sets of doors and the outside one of ours didn't lock so we were always checking the inside one to make sure it was definitely locked before leaving (obvious but would have felt a little safer if both locked). All rooms look to the outside the hotel rather than the pool area at first I thought our view was terrible, but when i looked properly it was actually rather stunning. We had a queen sized bed which was great however the mattress was a little solid. All rooms have a mini bar (which is the same price or CHEAPER than at the bar) and also air conditioning. The only two channels on the tele were in English were film channels so a bonus if we decided to go to bed early. The shower is so powerful, more powerful than mine at home and fresh towels are provided as and when you need them rather than every day. The bathroom is done to such a high standard. There is also a safe in the room which is simple to use and set up. We spent most of our time at the hotel, the pool side was great, you are given towels so you don't have to use the ones from your room, at first i was sceptical about there being one side in the shade all day but it's actually a blessing as it gets quite hot. The pool doesn't have any added heat but is completely refreshing in that heat. The pool staff are so friendly and couldnt do more for you, they would lay your towel on your chosen sun lounger and there was pool side service for both food and drink. The staff were so friendly all the time, they honestly were the kindest and would always make conversation with you, even sat and watched the football with my partner (they may of took pity on him as he was sat there alone!) The only disappointing thing was the food, the breakfast was the same every morning, but there was variety. It may of just been my taste. I had an omelette every day as that was the only thing I liked however some days it wasn't cooked properly so completely put me off asking for another.(it always depended on who had cooked it) the lunch I had the club sandwich or just chips and they were both great, I looked forward to lunch every day. As we went half board we knew we would have a set menu each night however we were disappointed by the lack of choices and description of each food, we had 3 choices each night of starter main and dessert. Some nights the choices were great and the others I just ate to eat something. We also booked a massage, I thought i had booked a couples massage but I hadn't and we had to go in separately (make sure you double check everything even if it seems a little condescending). For 300 dirham (approx £20) the 45 minute massage was okay. Nothing to scream and shout about but it done the job. We also booked a taxi through the hotel to go out and see Marrakech and the taxi driver that took us round was lovely, for 300 dirham he took us round for 3 hours to show us lots of different places. We also booked with him to take us from 10am - 4pm up into atlas mountain for 500 dirham. They stopped everywhere and showed us so many different things. I would highly recommend climbing the mountain - however wear sensible shoes. (Thankfully the taxi driver told us this the day before, others weren't so lucky!) The hotel is a good distance from the airport (about 10 mins) and from the square, again 10 mins, costing 50d to get there. I would also recommend changing your money out there as the exchange rate is so much better. 12 d to the £1 All in all it was a fantastic holiday and the staff really did make it an excellent trip, I would only not give a 5 because of the food choices. We will definitely be going back and taking more people with us to experience it! Collapse
