Stayed at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai for 4 nights. The hotel was very impressive as it was very big and is considered to be an iconic landmark standing as the tallest hotel in World. The view from the room was spectacular and the room was spacious and quiet. Despite the amazing features of the hotel, the check in process was exhausting and it took a lot of time for us to get checked in given that I have already made the mobile check in for all of our 4 rooms however the receptionist decided not to honor most of our requests and chose to make the check in process a very difficult task therefore we had to go all over the process again. However since we have pointed this matter to the reception manager, we noticed that the check out process was much better and quicker in contrary to the check in. Special mention goes to Andrew from Egypt for his outstanding service in reception during check out, he's a real asset to this hotel. Had breakfast in the executive lounge and was not impressed at all as the service did not reflect the standards of JW Marriott. It was impossible to find a table during morning time and the staff would not even bother to find a table for the guests, there were no cutluries on the table and it was expected from the guest to grab cutluries from a distant table at the middle of the lounge. At some points it was even impossible to find cutluries on the restaurant table itself. It felt like as if we were eating in a school canteen , where you're expected to get everything with no help. A 5 star hotel should provide cutleries and napkins on the table ready to be used by the guest, failure in doing so had really disappointed me and other guests next to me who were also upset by this matter. The fitness club was spacious and had a very nice view special mention goes to Kevin a friendly trainer in the fitness club was always there to help people around and answer questions. Collapse

We hosted our pre-wedding Mehendi event at the World’s Tallest Hotel, JW Marriott Marquis at the Terrance Pool Patio. The food was wonderful, we did a tasting and the chef gracefully incorporated our feedback into the menu for the event. Staff was super helpful when we were preparing for the event as well as when we stayed at the hotel. The staff upgraded us to a suite with a Burj Khalifa view with a gorgeous bathroom, living room and great lounge. Although they mentioned the room would include breakfast in bed, it didn’t show up, yet the breakfast buffet was wonderful - great selection with good service as well. Highly recommend this location for all who visit Dubai. Collapse

We were in Dubai for a special big birthday. I send love & big thanks to Nikita & her events team for making it a very special stay. We were upgraded to a corner suite, the bathroom was a huge size, a beautiful stand alone bath, views good. There is construction work in the area, but the noise cannot be heard from the room, win the exception of the occasional beeping (I.e. Like Lorry reversing sound). Plenty of complimentary bottled water provided, turndown service provided with choc dates left on pillow. On the birthday night, the room had been decorated with balloons, a card from events team and a beautiful, delicious chocolate cake. All staff really helpful & friendly. We had a massage at the spa as there was a 50% offer on, was amazing. You can use the sauna, steam, jacuzzi prior to your treatment. After, you can sit in the relaxation lounge, where they give you tea of choice. I think the cost of a taxi from airport to this hotel is in the region of 120 Aed. There is a lot of construction work going on around Dubai airport for give yourself plenty of time to get there. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to/from Dubai mall, doesn't need to be booked, but does have a schedule, which Hotel can provide. From Dubai Mall you can pick up the sightseeing buses in the same area that the hotel shuttle drops you. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, loungers, nice view. There are plenty of other seating areas up here too, away from pool area, if you just want to chill. Nearest metro station Business Bay, although I didn't use it. My stay was all too short here and highly recommend it. Collapse
