After we left our car with the valet service the personnel told us there was a strong odor of gas once the car was turned off. Thanks to their observations we took our car to a local Cadillac service dealer where the service department ran diagnostic test and we were told our gas line had a leak and our car was unsafe to drive. Thanks to the valet service we avoided a possible major accident on our return trip home. The reservation desk also allowed us to keep our same suite while our car was being repaired. Collapse

I'm a platinum life time member, so I've staying in many a Marriotts. The experience here was really quite bad. It started with the front desk having wrong information in their system from the Marriott (central ?) system, so that needed correcting. OK.. no problem but no apology or anything from the person checking me in. We go to our room and the room key does not work. Back to the front desk which is neither friendly nor apologetic. The room is just OK with the golf course view, which was really the view of the front entry parking lot. Next morning we go for brunch, which was really disgusting. Nothing was redeeming about the buffet: old, dry, premade food. The grounds looked nice enough but it being December, all of it was closed. The inside resort area is from mid 90's. Bad deco, not so clean anymore, and just overall not up to a JW standard. Following day we had breakfast in another restaurant, and that was fine. Solid food, OK service, bad decor. Now for the finale: we get woken up by terrible loud banging at 6am. It goes on and off for about 30 minutes, and I call the front desk. They don't know what's going on but they are getting calls about this so they will investigate and call back. The noise continues for another hour before stopping. No one calls back. Later in the day I stop by the front desk to find out what this was all about. The construction crew is late, so they decided to start work early is the explanation. Again no apology, no effort to make this better. I mention the noise again at check out the next day, and once again, not a care from the front desk. So management if you're reading: your front desk needs training in customer service, I dealt with four people who represent the Marriott brand poorly; you charge a resort fee for no resort amenities; you need to improve your food and clean up your common areas. I'm sure there are better resorts off the strip, this one was just not up to par. Collapse

Most Vegas visitors look for luxury on The Strip, but true luxury is found at THE JW. From the moment I walked into registration I knew I had made the perfect choice..it was classic luxury...quiet and peaceful yet the best atmosphere and unobtrusive attention. Staff was attentive , professional and thorough. Sometimes you just want to enjoy a quiet vacation without interruption and I found that at JW. The room was spotless, large and faced the beautiful Nevada desert. It is obvious staff is very well trained in customer service beyond just the smile and greeting. The valet group had our car ready each and every time almost as if they anticipated our departure everytime. The cleaning crew worked quietly without any interruption. It is as if we had the hotel all to ourselves. Thank you JW for making this trip memorable. Collapse

We stayed at this JW Marriott while my husband was in Las Vegas for work. We brought our two kids, and I enjoyed pushing the stroller around the beautiful property while our toddler ran around looking at the waterfalls and koi fish. The first night we had problems with the a/c. The person at the front desk asked us if we had opened the doors to the Juliet balcony (which we hadn't) because not closing them properly will make the a/c not work. They didn't really seem to believe us that the air wasn't working. It wouldn't shut off, and we froze a little. The front desk said they would send someone to fix it, but they never came while we were out for dinner. It was too late to have someone come and fix it after dinner, because we needed to get our kids to sleep. We just bundled up and roughed out a cold night. The room was nice. The bathroom was luxurious. We somehow ended up with one of the very few rooms that has a half wall covering the doors to the Juliet balcony. That was disappointing. If we ever stay here again, I'll ask for a room with an unimpeded balcony. We wanted to stay somewhere close to my husband's work and also close to Red Rocks park, so the hotel location was good for that. Overall, the property was nice and room was nice enough. The air conditioner problem was frustrating to deal with. The bag porters and valet were friendly and helpful. We might stay here again, but Las Vegas has so many properties to choose from making it hard to commit to this JW Marriott. Collapse

We held our son's wedding here on 11/18/16 and I am SO glad we chose the Marriott. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff was extremely accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding ... The Marriott handled all of our details with such professionalism and made sure everything ran smoothly - They FAR exceeded our expectations! Our guests loved the resort and the hotel accommodations, as well. The rooms are lovely (spectacular views!!) and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from (although, we highly recommend Spiedini). It's a great hotel to stay at if you are looking for something off the strip ... And the pool area is very nice, also. It's close to Downtown Summerlin, Boca Park and Tivoli Village - So, it's in a good location. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to book another function with them. Collapse
