This was our first stay at the Jumeirah Beach although we had visited friends there in the past. We usually stay nearer The Walk and generally at the Hilton Jumeirah. The hotel is looking dated in some areas now, particularly the reception area which is also chaotic much of the time. Whilst the staff are generally very pleasant and do their best to help you, overall they are not in the same league as those in the Hilton. There appeared to be a lot of staff who were just not totally familiar with their surroundings and couldn't answer what were normal basic enquiries. Having said that, the staff in both the buffet restaurant and the kids club were very good. We stayed in an Ocean Deluxe Balcony on the 7th floor which was perfect. Many people had said that the balconies were a waste of money but I disagree. Yes the balconies are small and quite enclosed but it's just nice to have access to outside space. The room itself is of a good size with a lovely bathroom but having a third bed in the room rather than a sofa-bed was a bit of a pain. Room service and cleaning etc is efficient as you would expect and the bathroom amenities are of a good standard. Food in general throughout the hotel is very good, especially in the buffet where there is always plenty of variety but the quality of drinks varies enormously depending on which bar you're at and of course they are ridiculously expensive. One thing that does let the hotel down is the location as there isn't really anything going on around it should you fancy a stroll. The big advantage of being on The Walk is that there are plenty of options for eating and supermarkets where you can buy soft drinks for the fridge and at almost £6.00 for a can of Coke in the mini-bar you don't want to be using too much from there. There is a very small shopping mall right opposite the hotel but there's nothing much in there and I'm sure it's not a coincidence that there's no supermarket in there or nearby. The hotel pool's are very nice. We spent most of our time around the kids pool which has a very gentle gradient and non-slip surface at the point of entry and the regular rounds of free ice lolly's were very welcome, especially with our daughter. The beach is immaculate and food/drink service on there is good. We booked a half-board plan which overall was pretty decent value when compared to paying for meals as you go and the vouchers you're given do offer good flexibility with restaurants in other Jumeirah owned hotels. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return. Collapse

We visited for a week and we had the BEST stay! The location is great, the staff are so polite and knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel lobby and all all areas throughout the hotel were BEAUTIFULLY decorated and smelt amazing everywhere we went! Also, there was a HUGE selection at the breakfast buffet and was lovely to get to sit out in the morning with our food - perfect start to the day! One of our highlights was the efforts our Room Attendant, Rajesh, made. He was a star! He was so smiley and chatty and asked about our stay and how we were liking Dubai which was all on top of making our room spotless for us - we actually looked forward to coming back to the room! He left extra special touches in the room for us like the towel-animals - they were incredible! He went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful! The only thing I would recommend for improvement would be regarding the Palm Court restaurant. We booked and Afternoon Tea there and they seemed to lose our booking so we had to wait a while for them to prepare our vegetarian meals. When it did arrive though it was incredible and beautifully presented! The beach and pool are spotless and plenty of sun beds and towels. Absolutely INCREDIBLE view of the Burj Al Arab too! Perfect environment for all types of groups, families, friends etc. Overall, this is by far the best hotel I have stayed at and we cannot wait to return! Thank you to all at the Hotel! Collapse

This is my 3rd trip to Duabai and their has to be one of the great hotels and location in amongst the group of hotels. We had a 3 bedroom apartment that was super. The location lends itself access to the hotels nearby by buggy and travelling by boat through the complex is something to see. There are more restaurants that you could eat at. Try and book a stay where you are there for a Friday Brunch in the Madinat complex. A bit pricey, however anytime you can eat and drink for 5 hours is always good. Somehow you will get your money's worth. Great Hotel and well done. Collapse

We were there for a couple of days during our stay in Dubai. After that we changed the location and went to try something else. All in all Jumeirah is a perfect place for staying in Dubai. The beach is amazing, pools are cristal clear, service is very good and there are a lot of things to do around the hotel. One very nice aqua park is next door to the hotel. Buggy shuttle service, a lot of green areas, tennis courts, swimming pools.... Breakfast is rich with fresh food and a lot of various cousins. We would likely come back to this hotel! :) Recommendations!!! Collapse

Jumeirah beach hotel is stunning for her scenic view and facilities to offer. But the standards inside were slightly disappointing when i noticed sun beds being ripped off, bars were dirty and too many guests so there is no attention from staff.
