We are nearing the end of our holiday at the lovely Jumeirah Beach Hotel. This is our fourth visit in four years so we are quite familiar with the hotel and we obviously like it enough to return. Our four year old son has practically grown up on holidays here from his first time sitting up to now swimming on his own. It's a delightful place with beautiful well kept gardens, really special polite and attentive service from the staff who really seem to care and are good with the children. We always stay in a Premium Leisure club room as we find that additional services make a difference in particular the Executive Pool and to a lesser extent the lounge (more later). We are on Jumeirah Flavours Half Board which gives us free roaming around the hotel and more importantly the Madinet restaurants for evening dining and have visited for the first time really nice places like Segreto and for repeat visits Al Hambra and Khaymat al Bahar which are just delicious. Our room which hasn't changed in any visit is fine - 50 square metres is fine for three people and although it seems dated now the view is as special as ever. I have noticed some changes though in the detail....little things which to me are important - no running route map or sweatband, laundry line is filthy black dirty in the shower, fewer gifts for our child - used to be a rubber duck in the bath, we had to ask for the fridge to be emptied even though pre requested it, scales battery is dead. I can't find a pillow which is comfortable. Other hotels have a pillow menu. I always think the devil is in the detail. But we like the room a lot. This is the first time we have visited in English half term and my word it is busy around the Executive pools. We have been shocked how 90% of the loungers are pre reserved with towels - it's like Malaga on a bad day and even by 11am - 50% of the beds are still reserved and unoccupied. We had no idea they could be reserved like this in advance as we have never needed to. It does feel the place is beyond capacity and by the time you through in kids with enormous blow up inflatables then I'm not sure where the space and relaxation has gone. The kids pool at the Executive pool I have noticed has deteriorated slowly over the last four years. Every year we see less working - blocked water hotels, peeling paint in the slide, water 'circles' which don't spin anymore, water 'gun' which I don't think has ever worked. This is sad and not what I would have hoped for from Jumeirah. The sails above the pools are filthy dirty. A huge plus though here and everywhere are the ubiquitous lifeguards. This is essential. We love the little touches though like the ice lollies handed out and then. We found the beach to be in great condition and the loungers on the beach - usually empty - even more comfortable than by the pool. The PLC lounge is great as ever and the staff there superb and check in is easy and we like it there a lot. At happy hour and afternoon tea the offering is very good - little changed over the years but the volume of guests seems enormous now. Jumeirah Flavours is good but I am not sure I would use it again as I found that if you are not careful you could dine in a place where it's cheaper just to turn up and pay than use the vouchers if you take into account drinks are extra and a voucher cost 200AED per adult. More restaurants have been taken off lunch like Zheng He and Pier Chic and many ask for supplements like Pad Thai and Shimmers so the choice is smaller than it used to be. As for the Jumeirah Sirius point scheme for redeeming against food. This is awful now since it has been redesigned - getting emails then giving numbers out and a Sirius card - no change from your voucher. It was lovely before - just redeem points for a restaurant reservation but now this has to be the most user unfriendly scheme and I suspect the staff do not understand it either. We love the buggys around the hotels especially as we dine in the Madinet more and the Abra ride around Al Qasr is delightful. But seriously need more buggys at the beach lounge as we waited every night for usually 15 mins for one. Not forgetting the Wild Wadi entrance included - this is excellent and convenient. Food and lockers are terribly over priced but the facilities are great and our son loves it. It's easy to pop in and out. All in all another great holiday at Jumeirah Beach Hotel but I have noticed many changes or lack of change over the last few years which need addressing. Collapse

The wife and I decided to stay here for a weekend away. Firstly, this is not a hotel its a resort! I love resorts, even on a weekend away you feel like you are totally somewhere else (even with the Burj towering over you!). Check-in was delayed but they were doing weekend deals so not surprising. The pool's are large and have great water features in them including a pool bar which never hurts. They passed around ice pops during the day which never hurts. The beach is huge with at on of chairs. The ocean was very rough when we were there but you cant not go in for a bit since you are swimming on top of the Burj. The food was very good throughout the resort and the rooms were lovely. Be sure to walk the marina and head to the bar at the end for the best views ever! Also, the hotel is next to wild wadi with free entrance if you are looking for some fun. Definitely a good hotel for families or couples. Collapse

The view of the Burj is breathtaking, the staff are trained to high standards, the room we got was on the executive floor so we had a chance to have afternoon tea which was very delightful. It had a prime location since its in jumirah and everything is close by plus the jumeirah group chain of hotel is just there so if your staying in Dubai for just couple of nights it's the ideal place to stay in since everything is close by. Moreover; you get free entrance to the water park wild wadi. It's the place to be staying in ,if your in Dubai it should be in any of Jumirah group you can't go wrong with that ..... Collapse
