I believe the translation of this hotels name is “ Gardens of Paradise “ and that is what the hotel is . It is Paradise from the moment the taxi drops you at the entrance. The lovely doormen take over, take your cases, take you to reception, then for a welcome drink, then to your room and explain everything . The breakfast is amazing. I can't think of anything that was not on offer. We were staying half board and the evening buffet was wonderful, plenty of choice, a continual changing menu and themed nights. The grounds, swimming pool and public areas are beautiful. Our room was spotless, a new bathroom with his & her washbasins, sheets changed as and when you want and clean towels once or twice a day. You decide. The staff are very friendly and make you most welcome. Usual problems with sun beds but don't know why people have to reserve them as there are more than enough to go round. We never had a problem. You get 2 towels for the sun beds one of which is like a fitted sheet which covers the whole bed and does not slide down. As I said at the beginning this hotel is Paradise. We hope to visit again. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10. Why the .5 reduction? Well people (including us) from the the UK love their cup of tea in bed in the morning. It is available as an extra, but Señor Adrian, this is a 5 star hotel, but even cheap hotels in the UK have tea & coffee making facilities in the bedrooms! You know where your guests are coming from so please change this before our next visit. Hope that I can give you a 10 next year! Having said that Tripadviser readers don't hesitate to stay at this hotel you will really enjoy it. Collapse

We booked a 11 night stay b& b. Breakfast is amazing so much choice and all food hot. The staff are superb, towels changed twice a day and bed turned down each evening. My only problem is the room!! Never stay in room 111 if you don't want to see people going to the loo!! The block opposite has 3 bathroom windows facing us and we can see when they use the bathroom and what they are using it for , I'm sure the people using the loos would be mortified if they thought their every movement was being seen. Otherwise fabulous, the pool is actually warm and the jacuzzi is hot Collapse

This was my second visit to Jardines - with my Mum ( the week over new year ) I'd composed a positive review in my head last year but neglected to complete it - so now writing one to cover both stays ! Though the fact that we returned to the same hotel, with all the hotels on offer in the area , says a lot too ! I personally love the character of the hotel in the main lobby , Tiffany cocktail bar and dining area - (think Great Gatsby / Titanic) - which i prefer to ultra modern minimalist ! However with the recent renovations to the rooms - they are precisely that - ultra modern , minimalist and very clean - new bathrooms with bath and separate shower and spacious with plenty of towels ( pet hate having to ask for extra towels - never in this hotel !:) ) Yes it's very true that this hotel appeals to an older clientele - but it also caters for younger age groups . It depends what you are going on holiday for ... I work with kids so I was very very happy to not be surrounded by kids while on holiday ! Though there were whole families staying in hotel so it is still family friendly . I didn't watch any of the evenings entertainment - as again not part of my holiday agenda . What I did appreciate is that the rooms have access to bbc 1 , itv 3 and channel 4 - so we could still watch Christmas / New Year tv as we wished . We attended the New Years Eve Gala this year and it was all very well organised so the staff should be proud of themselves ! The pool area is beautiful , although there are also sun loungers and chairs on your own balcony so lots of options for sunbathing . Food - we were bed and breakfast - amazing breakfasts with so much variety everyone can find multiple options , with eggs etc cooked to order . However I can also comment on the hotel's Cascada restaurant - where we ate 3 of our 7 nights, as staff so friendly and good quality food ( the options outside hotel I was wary of after a very bad meal last year, so wanted to stay with the quality of Jardines that I trusted ! They never disappointed ! Staff of all levels were very friendly and helpful . All in all a fantastic hotel , with a staff dedicated to helping you enjoy your holiday with lots of little attentions to detail ! Take note that many many guests return year after year - there is good reason for this ! " Collapse

Having flown on a foggy night with Thomas Cook we were very quick to arrive at Tenerife Airport and whizzed to our hotel. It was 3:30 in the morning and pretty breezy but the Christmas decorations upon arrival were stunning and the gentleman at reception was very helpful. After a brief check in we were taken to our room. The room was beautiful and modern. We were met by 2 bottles of wine which were complimentary and a fruit platter. The breakfasts were amazing with so much to eat and the staff are so friendly. On New Years Eve we were invited to the New Year's Eve ball which was second to none. The food was amazing and the amount of alcohol, no expense spared. The service was fabulous and the restaurant was beautifully done. Just before midnight you wer give a party pack to help celebrate midnight with a fantastic display of fireworks. The staff worked tirelessly. Beds were never a problem by the pool, the only thing was the drink service to the beds was hit and miss and food arrived cold. We sat next to the jacuzzi which was quiet and one of the pools is heated. The grounds are beautiful. We were on a bed only basis and ate out along th beautiful beach front. Our favourite restaurant was a couple of steps outside our hotel called La Farola Del Mar We were luckily enough to eat at La capula which is a restaurant on the top floor and this was outstanding. If finances allow it makes for a wonderful evening. Would love to come back to this hotel every New Years as a wonderful way to spend it and see blue sky every day was a welcome break Collapse
