This was our second trip to the Isabel and this time we stayed for 12 nights instead of the 10 we did last time. There is nothing I can say that is negative about the place. It looks fantastic as it is set out like a Canarian village so has character unlike some nearby. Its location is great you are waking distance to the front as well as being near local buses and taxis. The market is on twice aweek just opposite the hotel,it does get very busy on market days. The hotel staff are fantastic friendly and always there with a smile and will ing to help. There are bar areas as well as a restaurant. There is family entertainment every day and nioht but you will come home with the entertainment team jingle ringing in your head !! There are 3 pools now as well as a solarium area with a hot tub. The pools are all of varying depths so suitable for all ages and abilities. You can self cater or all inclusive as well as everything in between. They have a photographer who takes pictures during the day although they are a little pricey the quality is fantastic and we got some last year in black and white of my daughter and everyone comments on them, we decided to get some more this year as they look fab. The staff are so hard working but they are always really friendly and make a big fuss of the children. The rooms all have a balcony or a terrace and have a safe which is extra but worth having. There is a small kitchen with microwave, kettle ,toaster and coffee machine as well as a hob and fridge. The bathroom is a good size with good facilities and the bedroom has a big wardrobe with draws. Only thing I would say is that the headboard is nor fixed will to the wall so any slight movement it bangs which can be rather annoying.. Just down the road there is a great little bar called Babushkas they do English and Scottish breakfast till 12pm so if you fancy a sleep in pop there for a good breakfast. The staff are brill and we made friends with them on our last visit and have kept in touch ever since. Take a trip to see Abel the owner and Neli,Helen and Gustav. They will make you feel at home . we will definitely return its a great place. Collapse

We just returned from a lovely week at this hotel with our two boys aged 8 and 5. We had a self catering bungalow which was spotlessly clean and spacious, although parts of the kitchen were a little tired. All of the staff are really friendly and there is a very relaxed and happy atmosphere throughout. All three pools were warm and had plenty of sun beds to relax on. The football pitch, mini golf, bouncy castle etc.. were all welcome additions. There is a great supermarket around the corner from the hotel - we were able to get everything that we needed to self-cater for breakfast and lunch and ate supper at one of the many restaurants on the seafont promenade a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We did order take away pizza from the main restaurant one night which was not very nice, other than that we did not eat in any of the hotel restaurants. The pool bar serves great smoothies though! Michael from The Broadwalk (next to the hotel) has a wealth of knowledge of all of the things to do around the island - we bought our AquaLand tickets from him (all profits go to his turtle project), rented bikes and scooters. Beach towels are available free of charge from hotel reception (you need to leave a deposit of 10 Euros per towel). We felt that this hotel was great value and very family orientated. Collapse

I would recommend it because the kids club is brilliant the staff know all the kids names. Evening entertainment is good run by the same kids club staff with a great end of week show by the kids doing a song and dance I had tears in my eyes watching my 4yr old son do a robot dance on stage. the main pool is great for children young and old. The food in the Buffett is brilliant we looked forward to dinner every night such a huge variety lots of healthy stuff! Only thing I'd recommend getting a 2 bedroom next time, as with 2 kids baby wakes everyone up. We had to ask them to bring in a child bed as the set up was our 4 year old sleeps the sofa? So they brought a single bed into our bedroom so we all ended up in the same room but at least we could use the lounge and kitchen while kids were asleep. The front desk staff could be a bit more friendly on arrival the manager just said no twice to me about the high chair and the bed when I Pre ordered this through my private travel councillor and had it confirmed, this is not nice to hear when you have traveled 6 hours with a baby on your lap and and 4 year old. Also they were always in a hurry to put the phone down on you when you ask questions. I was about to ask a question and they put the phone down on me. Also before hand I asked for a high chair and specifically requested a 1st floor apartment so we had a balcony so it's more private. They seemed to completely ignore this, And we got a ground floor apartment with a tiny shaded front path. So we asked to be moved which took a while and we still didn't have the high chair so went to reception again to be told no the high chair is rented even though we were told no problem months before over email. I like the hotel but I don't like the manager! I would go back if the manager Jaime I think is name was, would be a bit more understanding and helpful first off. We finally got the high chair after my travel agent called up and complained. Collapse

We went here for a 8 days holiday last June. First off, the location is a bit of a walk from the beach and its on top of a small hill, so its a bit of a hike back. There aren`t many restaurants nearby, but we were not bothered because we went all inclusive. There is a small shopping center with a Hyperdino right outside the hotel. The bungalows are spacious each with their own terrace, everything is very clean, though it could do with a little bit of modernizing. The main attraction here would be the kids pool, it has a playground in it with slides and everything, was hard to get the little one out of there he was having tons of fun. They also have daily activities for children so it is a very family friendly place. The food choice is huge, we always found something for our taste. Overall a nice stay at Hotel Isabel. Collapse
