This hotel is just amazing. It does not look so appealing from the outside but once you enter the lobby you are amazed by wonderful views of Hong Kong skyline and hotel is very cozy. Honestly we were amazed by the level of service here as this was far the best service we had received in Intercontinental hotels worldwide. They meet you outside the lobby and escort you directly to your room so you don't go through the reception checking and it was highly appreciate after our flight with our 3 years old : We stayed in Deluxe junior suite on 11th floor with two huge windows overlooking Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong skyline. Bathroom was very big with huge bathtub and shower. Also toiletries were luxurious and much better than in other Intercontinental hotels. We had the Club access and it happened to be the best experience as we were SO very well taken care of by Tracy, Sharon and Iris!!! Thank you girls you made our stay really wonderful. We had breakfast in the Club and what really shocked us in the best way that they were constantly making sure all trays with food selection are full!!! In Europe if you come before closing time you have hardly what to eat but HERE, full plates, trays till the last minute!!! The same apply for lunch snacks and evening cocktails....there were never shortage of anything!!! Champagne, wine, bear , cocktails and food!!! And it all comes with the best view of Hong Kong!!! We were so happy to return from our exploring walks just to sit and be pampered :) All our wishes fulfilled :) Hotel even arranged for baby stroller as we did not bring it with us and our little one got tired after long walks. So we have found a perfect place for us in Hong Kong and I can't recommend this hotel enough. Thank you ladies and gentlemen of Intercontinental Hong Kong Marketa a Martin and Martin jr. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Intercontinental for one night. Room - relative to other properties in Hong Kong, our room was spacious. However, our room was in need of an upgrade both aesthetically and functionally. I don't believe the rooms have been upgraded in over a decade. Additionally, our room, located on the top floor, felt very dark. Service - service throughout our stay did not feel five star, probably four star at best. Some staff we passed in the hallway and on the way into the hotel did not even make eye contact with us or greet us. We went to the Lobby Lounge for some drinks and snacks and waited 20 minutes for two glasses of wine (others who arrived after us got our drinks within 5 minutes of sitting down) and had to ask our server twice to bring us mustard, even though she acknowledge our request. On the other hand, service at their old restaurant, Spoon and at the steak house on previous visits has impressed me--so this demonstrates an inconsistency in service standards. Pool & Spa facilities - pool feels a bit dated. The hotel's hot tub overlooks the harbor, and we took advantage of this. Unfortunately, and beyond the control of the hotel, there is a museum under construction next to the hotel, which is a bit of an eyesore. We had massages during our stay--these were good, and our therapists were professional and friendly. Spa facilities are in need of a minor upgrade, but definitely not the most pressing area for the hotel (Rooms, F&B outlets, and pool definitely need to be looked at first) Breakfast - we had the breakfast buffet at the Harbourside Restaurant. It was a Sunday morning, and the restaurant was absolutely packed, guests packed in like sardines, squeezing between tables to get to and from the buffet--it was incredibly dizzying. The food quality was very average. Noodles from the noodle station were soggy, dumplings lacked flavor, and cooked dishes did not taste or appear fresh. Coffee was burnt and quality was below average. Service could have been more attentive. I suggest that IHG looks into improving the overall service flow of the breakfast buffet and the seating capacity of the breakfast buffet area--it is NOT large enough to accommodate the number of rooms in that hotel. I've stayed in some wonderful IHG properties and I am a loyal IHG Rewards member, and the Intercontinental in Hong Kong was a huge disappointment for me. Sadly, I will not be returning as I don't believe it is worth the rates that are being charged, and I believe that there are plenty of other hotels in Hong Kong that are of better value. It has a lot of potential, and could be drastically improved with upgrades to the hotel and increase in attentiveness and attention to detail of the staff Collapse

My wife and i decided to check out Hong Kong during our travels and stayed at the Intercontinental hotel in Hong Kong.. We chose the executive suite/package.. The word awesome just dosent sound incredible enough! The service was fantastic the entire time. The gym has all new and up to date equipment, seriously everything you could possibly want! The Executive Lounge always had something going on from breakfast spreads, tea times and even open bar happy hours! The harbor views from the rooms and the main dining areas are something not to be missed. I could probably go on and on about this hotel but i will leave it at you must stay at the intercontinental hotel when traveling to Hong Kong! Collapse

We stayed there during New Years Eve in their harbour view suites for our family new year trip. The NYE Fireworks show was beyond spectacular and to be able to enjoy the full view up close in the privacy of your own suites with a glass of champagne was an incredible experience. No other hotels in HK would be able to match this. Service was great and staff do give priorities to their in-house guests which was a plus. The check-in staff was courteous and you could see she really tried to accommodate our room requests even when the hotel was obviously fully booked for the special occasion. One minor setback was the insufficient number of extra guest beds. My brother decided to join us for the trip on the last minute and thought we could just ask them to set up the extra bed in the room but unfortunately none were available at all for the whole 3-nights stay so be sure to book early for one if needed. Nice fitness centre with all the machines you could think of and more. It would be just perfect if it could be on the harbour view side (the swimming pool also - an infinity pool with harbour view would make this place unmatchable) Collapse
