A better location is hard to imagine — the government quarter, historic centre, shopping districts and the world-famous Potsdamer Platz and Kurfürstendamm Boulevard are just minutes away. L.A. Café is bright, energetic and flexible enough to keep up with your changing appetite throughout the day. At lunch, you can browse the buffet or go à la carte with a menu of seasonal international specialities. I stay at this hotel for four days for the training. There is it next to Berlin Zoo. I feel it to be slightly inconvenient for sightseeing. It is far from the station. The breakfast is passable deliciously.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Interconti. Exceptional staff can be found at the Marlene bar and in the Club lounge. I also had the quickest suit pressing ever at this hotel. The Interconti has many conference spaces that make it one of the most useful conference and meetings places in Berlin. The pool was very enjoyable and after an afternoon shopping at KaDeWe it was a pleasure to ease the legs into the hot spa pool. Nice touch. Rooms have been commented by others, they are very large by the standard of most capital cites and have everything in them. Except toothbrushes in the vanity box strangely. Having said that, the concierge could supply one if needed. The concierge can also direct you to shopping areas within easy walk of the hotel, such as KaDeWe or Shoe City. Room features that haven't been commented on are the bedroom windows which can be opened so that guests can enjoy fresh air rather than stale aircon, and also the multi power connector so that your phone and iPad can be charged at the same time. Why don't other hotels think of this? Criticisms are few, but I think the staff in the breakfast cafe in the lobby need some customer relations training, I did not enjoy eating there. In contrast, the staff in the Exec Lounge were very welcoming and ever helpful especially at breakfast. Don't miss the Michelin star awarded Hugo's restaurant for fine dining at roof level, if only for the magnificent views of the city! I would gladly stay at the Interconti Berlin again. Collapse

Stayed for 1 week for a conference in July 2017. Check in staff are very efficient and courteous. Good concierge. Elevators speedy, and room was good sized--theres a very minuscule space int he minibar refrigerator for personal items, but it might hold a carton of yogurt--not even a bottle of water. One glass bottle of water provided free. Ice upon request. Amazing bathroom, with an area to hang up clothes that is NOT sufficient to hang up ladies dresses, without having the bottoms wrinkled--Why isn't there are real closet??? Excellent toiletries, good water pressure. Odd that the toilet is behind its own glass door. Robes and slippers provided. Huge towels--nice and fluffy. the AC works better than in any hotel I stayed in in Germany. Room service was prompt--only a few selections--and a miniscule bottle of coke lite was 5 euros!! Comfortable beds, but linens not changed frequently enough--only once in the week I was there. Breakfast buffet is terrific, well stocked with items. the public areas unfortunately REEK of stale cigarette smoke--very bad for individuals with asthma. And it's a 15 minute walk to the nearest SBahn station. Collapse

Enjoyed three nights at the Intercontinental Berlin and have nothing but great things to say about the hotel. The hotel is a few blocks from the Berlin Zoo and is within walking distance to some great restaurants. There is also a city bus stop right in front of the hotel. This worked out well for us as we took the bus from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Upon check-in at the IHG desk, we were greeted with a smile and a "hassle free" check in experience. We were also given a free drink voucher to use at Marlene's - the hotel's lounge/bar. Our room housed a king size bed, a pull out couch and glass office desk. The bathroom had a large rain shower head and a deep bathtub for soaking. Water pressure and temperature were excellent, as well as the bathroom soaps & shampoos. There was also an in-room safe, robes, and slippers, and complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea. There was a unique "do not disturb" switch that would illuminate red outside the room door to indicate as such. Rooms were impeccably clean. Although we typically travel with our own pillows, there were plenty of them to choose from on our bed. There were also plenty of outlets and night time reading lights. For 32 euros/person, you can enjoy a large breakfast accommodating every taste and/or dietary restriction. There is a spa on site although we did not use that or the pool area. The front desk staff, concierge and housekeeping staff were all very friendly, approachable, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again when traveling to Berlin. We will be back! Collapse
