Lovely stay at Hotel Indigo, everything is on your doorstep from restaurants, bars, shopping and boat trips. Great views over the city from our room and from floor 25 at Marco Pierre White's restaurant where we were given a free glass of Prosecco each and had a lovely breakfast. So many bars and restaurants to visit at the mailbox and as you walk along the canal. Would definitely visit again. Collapse

We arrived lunchtime and so left our bags at reception and did some shopping around the bull ring, Came back about 5.30. Checked in with long queue of people behind us, as only one receptionist. Check in was very rushed, so much so we weren't told where our rooms were or how to operate the lift ! When making our booking of 3 twin rooms we advised reservations we were away celebrating the beginning of our 40th year, they advised our rooms would have a celebration theme to them, you can imagine our disappointment upon once finding our rooms to see we had a plate with two very small chocolate brownies on it saying "happy anniversary" ! My top tip for this hotel is take a torch as the rooms are so dark honestly I'm joking you not you couldn't see anything, very difficult to get ready do hair apply makeup etc, I checked all around the room no bulbs out so guess it was the ambiance!! The room was clean, the beds were comfy and showers hot, breakfast was ok not brilliant considering it was served within the Marco Pierre white steak bar. Would I stay again no. Our weekend had been planned so we didn't need to leave the cube so the Saturday evening we dined at the Marco Pierre white steak house, again contacted the restaurant prior to stay and spoke with Tapesh who confirmed via email we had a window seat table at a cost of £5 per person this was booked for 7.30 we could have the table for 2hrs. Tapesh also offered celebration plate desserts as it was a special occasion. He also made us aware of the late night music they offer within the champagne bar, brilliant perfect we didn't need to go anywhere else. We arrived promptly at the restaurant to be shown to a booth seat in the middle of the restaurant, i informed the lady we had window seats but unfortunately they had been taken by another party ! It was very busy with groups of people and so to avoid disappointment we took the booth, BIG MISTAKE ! It was darker than the room, remember you need to take a torch with you ! After ordering cocktails we were given menus, We just managed to see the menu and ordered the meat sharing platter along with bread and olives ! The portions were so small we ordered the additional fish platter so the six of us each had something to eat. It was ok not great just ok, however we weren't that bothered as we were looking forward to our mains between us we ordered 5 steaks & 1 pork belly. The service at this point went from good to bad the mains arrived with our chosen sauces these where not correct we tried to catch someone's attention but couldn't so just ate what we had been given, Unfortunately I couldn't tell you if it was a medium steak I was eating as it tasted of burnt meat, as if the grill needed cleaning down in between orders, no point eating with your eyes as yes you guessed it, we couldn't see our food that well as we forgot our torch !! We didn't get chance to try our desserts as non we're offered we ordered our own coffee and cocktails, again had to wait ages to order these, even had to go find someone to ask for the bill ! The bill came along with an additional service charge of £36 We didn't pay this as we felt we hadn't had a good service what with the wrong table given the lack of attention etc. The following day we ate breakfast within the same restaurant from the night before service was good although did feel sorry for the lady and gentleman as they were rushed off their feet, just the two of them serving and one chef cooking. We purchased Spa day packages for downstairs , we were very apprehensive after reading the reviews on here, so much so I rang ahead to see how many people were booked In etc, upon arrival it was busy with not enough loungers etc however it quietened down around lunch time, it was a very enjoyable very relaxing day and the treatments were fantastic along with the complimentary add on's offered at time of booking. Our lunch was served within Marco Pierre Bardolino it was BRILLIANT from start to finish LAURA was attentive from the minute we got in there, so much so we were running late for our spa treatments she suggested to come back later at the end of our spa day to have our desserts and coffee ! It wouldn't hurt to send Laura upstairs to show the staff in MPW steak house how it's done. So thank you LAURA you put a nice ending to our stay. Collapse

Stayed here for one night for work, really nice place, the only downside was that there was noise coming from upstairs,, I guess it would be from the club/restaurant!! But apart from that the room was excellent and staff is really nice.

You get a great city view from this hotel, located close to the city centre. With the mail box next door there is plenty of shopping and restaurants close by. Rooms are well appointed, and I found the bed very comfortable. There is also a good gym on site. The 25th floor restaurant offers great city views at breakfast. The breakfast itself was was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel, and will certainly stay again. Collapse

Had a girls weekend break away. The bonus to this hotel is the spa facilities and the champagne bar, as the rooms are just average and quite compact. We had afternoon tea at the marco Pierre White restaurant, slow service, staff not attentive, quality not the best but as this was someone else's birthday treat didn't make a fuss. We used the (ahem) spa facilities. Thankfully we got there pretty early, very small pool, a few steam, sauna type areas, very few loungers. I would be massively disappointed if I had purchased a spa day. It got far too busy, no where for people to sit, very poor, but it served our purpose for an hour. We had a free glass of champagne in the champagne bar (same location as afternoon tea) great place to be late on a Saturday night, great view of the city, dig deep as drinks are eye watering expensive! Also, if you suffer from vertigo this may not be the place for you, it is VERY high up! But a great view!!! Breakfast was superb, again, poor staffing /service. I would go again but only if I had a deal, it is certainly not worth the full price. Reception staff were great, that's as far as it goes. Collapse
