We spent 2 nights here as part of our bus tour of Iceland. Check in here was a bit slower compared to other hotels on our tour. This hotel is located right by the airport. We could look out our window and see the airport tower. To get to the city center we took the public bus. The hotel does provide free bus passes which did come in handy. The bus stop is right across the street from the hotel. The room was neat and clean. Shower was quite small. Breakfast was average and quite busy as other tour groups also use this hotel. Collapse

We stayed here twice as part of a round-the-island bus tour. On both occasions we received front -of-house indifference to problems we had. The hotel has the misfortune to be adjacent to an airport and has no airconditioning-only heating. The room (362) was very hot, could only be cooled by opening windows, which then resulted in filling the room with aviation fuel fumes and aircraft noise. Which is funny because one of Iceland's tourist appeal is stated to be it's clean air. A request to relocate to a quieter room was rejected, but a fan was supplied to help with the room temperature. The curtains needed to be drawn as we can't sleep in broad daylight (only about 4 hours of dusk at this time of year) so this reduced the effectiveness of the open window as a cooling device. The room was at our comfort level by around 1am. The return visit put us in the adjacent room (360). This time we found that the room had no coffee/tea making facities. A phone call to the front desk resulted in the statement that "this class of room does not come with a tea making facilities". Despite that the next door room had them, that other members of our travelling party were in rooms that had them, and that we had all paid the same for our rooms, this response was right out of the Basil Fawlty School of Hotel Management. Obviously, the receptionist just couldn't be bothered to fix the problem. Other than this the Hotel rooms are comfortable, the restaurant is good. Expect ridiculously high prices for food and drink in Iceland-maybe 2 to 4 times what you would expect to pay in Australia. Our tour took us to several other Hotels in the Iceland Air group, and they were all consistently good, so Reykjavik Natura lets the side down Collapse

We spent three nights here. The room was fine, but there was no dresser space, not even a single drawer. There was space to hang things, and a small shelf in an open space (not really a closet), and some open shelf space in the room. The shower was tiny, and no light in it so it was rather dark. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One nice thing, to compensate for the fact that the hotel is a good half hour walk from city center, they will lend you a bus pass, and the city bus stops right near the hotel. Don't lose that pass, though, or they charge you $100! I didn't try the pool or the fitness center. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and we had dinner in the restaurant one night, and it was quite good. Collapse

The size of the room is equivalent to a dorm room. The bathroom shower door doesn't shut. The television network is terrible such that it turns on and off. Do not waste your money and more importantly, your time here.

The family room will not disappoint. Large enough to spread out with a family of four. Easy to take the bus into downtown for shopping and restaurants. The restaurant had a wonderful buffet. The staff was super friendly. Beware if you arrive early, unless you want to pay extra you have to wait until they allow check-ins in the afternoon. A pain travelling with a family but the lounge is pleasant and had wonderful couches. Collapse
