Stayed in June, a party of four made up of 2 golfers and 2 non golfers. Now I must just say we paid a ridiculously cheap price for 3 nights b&b in an apartment so we weren't expecting the world, but just a few points to note. The main gripe we had was throughout our entire stay we felt like 2nd rate citizens. It is a very clicky resort and if you are not a member, home owner or staying in the apartment, you might as well not be there! We felt like everything we asked was an inconvenience. Also the breakfast was segregated from the main hotel breakfast and was poor. Served in the club house with dated mis matched furniture, the food was dull and clearly the dregs. The apartment itself (11013) was ok. Nice size, quite dated. The aircon was awful!!! And barely worked throughout our stay, thank god for the ceiling fans in the bedroom. Again the wifi didnt work despite asking reception about this we received no help, again I refer back to the fact we were hotel/member guests! The whole place needs some tlc. The pool was great and just outside our apartment- very quiet. But hardly any sun beds. We loved Los Alcazares and would highly recommend visiting here in the evenings. We didnt stay on the resort in the evenings as there was really nothing to do. I do not think we would return. Although it was cheap, it was not the most comfortable. Collapse

Family group split over 2 ground floor apartments with shared pool situated within a secure golf course. Rooms well equipped , grounds very well maintained . Clover bar on site expensive , cheaper options on the boulevard outside. Spar shop very popular and well stocked( lovely bread ). Nearest town Los Alcazares is full of bars and restaurants. Beach nice sea warm and shallow . Street market on Saturday with plenty to see. Car needed as 3 taxis to and from each day is €90 . Generally very quiet and relaxing plus you don't have to be golfers to enjoy the facilities. Collapse

The apartment was very spacious and clean the problem was when we had finished playing golf and went back to use the pool there were no sunbeds or chairs for us to use. we could use the pool at the hotel for a charge. There was also no golf bag storage so we had to carry them back to the room every day which is a bit of a pain. The course was good and in not bad condition. We also played at El Valle and used the free bus but be warned it leaves at 9.30 and does not return until 5.30. Overall we had a nice break but if we return we will pay the extra to stay in the hotel Collapse

We booked this holiday last October and have looked forward to it. 4 of the party opted for the hotel and I plus 3others chose the apartments. The cost for 5 nights 4 rounds was roughly double for the hotel option but was said to be worth it. On arrival those staying in the hotel were sat in comfy chairs at reception whilst we peasants stood at a counter behind them. We then drove to our apartment which I can truly say was excellent. No, we had no daily maid service as some have complained but we were not in a hotel so did not expect it. No, we could not eat in the plush dining room but also could not fault our breakfast. All in all each group was happy with their choice. The golf. We chose to play the Mar Menor course for day 1 and 4 and El Valle for day 2 and Haciende Raquelme for day three. All course were excellent, challenging but good. Now the problem. We had been told there was daily transport to the other courses, and there was, but not to every course on every day! When I went to reception to enquirer the smug looking guy there (small with glasses) was no help, maybe because he started by asking my room number I said I was in an apartment. He was not helpful at all! I could go on about this and after the fantastic crew we experienced last year at La Manga I should. Luckily I had a car but we still had to hire a taxi for two days. Restaurants. If you go to the steak house don't order steak or lamb, they were awful and came with baked potatoes and sweet corn. Order the mixed grill or a Mexican course. The Italian was second class to any of my local Italians, but was better than the steak house. The Irish bar was good but the basic pub food is sold at restaurant prices. Our main arrived with the starters. Be adventurous and go out somewhere, taxis are cheap between four. Should you try it, yes golf is great, the estate itself is beautiful. Plan carefully when you choose your courses and eat away from the complex. Collapse
