We stayed in the Residences which were clean and large enough although the rooms didn't have a dressing table or anywhere to put hair driers & makeup. We stayed for 5 nights & not once was the room cleaned or towels replaced. I would say this is basic hygiene. The stake house restaurant was very short staffed & the food took almost 2 hours to arrive. The Italian restaurant was very nice & lovely food. If you stayed in the hotel you had a much better breakfast room & a beautiful pool to use, but otherwise you are a 2nd class citizen. The golf course was ok but the toilet on the course smelt horrendous, I couldn't even go inside. Although it was an ok stay. Collapse

Returned on Friday 15th Oct from a 7 day golfing trip staying at the residences for the second year running and all was as expected lovely spacious accommodation with all that you need at your doorstep, a supermarket on site to top up with essentials and a lively bar (CLOVER) , the accommodation is well maintained and cleaned once during our trip with a towel change which was enough as there are ample towels on arrival, on the day of checkout instead of waiting around all day for our transfer we pre-booked a round on the golf course at the resort and the hotel provided a room to store all our baggage which was a welcome touch, we are already looking at booking for next year and already cant wait Collapse

Great resort we stayed in the residences apartments very well designed. We have the bedroom with the en suite which was very clean with very good amenities the beds are very comfortable. We played golf on the mar Menor resort the course was in good condition greens were a bit bumpy the grass is good for beginners as not too much trouble off the tee it is also suitable for low handicappers with some water and large bunkers club choice is important! We also played Alhama which is tough. Not for beginners. Hacienda Riquelme was nice and on good condition lookout for the deep bunkers. We found all the stuff be very helpful we ate in the golf Clubhouse a few times the food was very nice we Al's ate in the Italian and BBQ restaurants both were good. The whole place is like a secure mini town very peaceful we had a lovely break. Collapse

I wanted to stay in the Intercontinental Hotel on the resort but it was sold out due to a wedding. I was offered an apartment in The Residences - managed by the hotel but not within the hotel area. The resort is stunning, beautifully kept with a lively golf course, hotel and restaurant complex. The resort is so great that I bought a villa here on the weekend I stayed. We arrived at the hotel at 11pm at night after driving from Alicante airport - around a 45minute motorway drive and €8 in tolls. The hotel is located around 20mins away from Murcia airport. A car is recommended for this area and visiting the local beaches. They provided a map, remote controls for the apartment and sent us on our way. An important note that at 11pm there is nowhere in the resort or vicinity to get dinner; you can't get room service in the apartments. We found the apartment easily and it was in good repair - if a little sparsely furnished. Two bedrooms with twin beds, fully air conditioned. One bedroom was ensuite with bath/shower and the other bedroom could use the main shower room. All was clean and shower gel/shampoo supplied. Two bath towels and two hand towels are provided for each person, but no pool towels, so make sure you pack your own. The lounge/kitchen area (kitchen cleaning is not included) is fully equipped with all crockery/cooking equipment. Sky TV with international channels and WIFI both worked perfectly. The large balcony had a six seater dining table, but maybe a lounger would've been a nice edition. There is a community pool in the centre of the block apartments. Loungers are provided, I had the pool to myself on both days. For breakfast we took a 4min stroll along the pedestrian walkway to the hotel. There is one restaurant in the clubhouse which is €5 per head, but a limited selection. We chose the main hotel restaurant at €8 each. The selection was amazing, cooked breakfast, large continental selection, live cooking station, bakery items and even free flowing cava. This breakfast was stunning value for money. We also visited the steakhouse within the hotel for dinner and it was fantastic, BBQ'd beautiful meats overlooking the community pools. Great service and really reasonable prices - 3 courses and 2 rounds of drinks came in at €55. All the staff spoke perfect English and Spanish. The Irish bar has a great atmosphere and the terrace looks over the main hotel pool, which continues out onto the golf course. The majority of the other guests in the apartments were golfers and no disturbances or noise was experienced from nearby apartments. Throughly recommended, the resort is beautiful. Collapse

11 of us spent the weekend here Friday to Monday. We booked all this through your golf travel and everything went very smoothly getting to the hotel, once we arrived at the hotel around 12 we attempted to check in but unfortunately the rooms were not going to be ready until 4 o'clock which panicked us a little bit as we had a tee time book for 2 o'clock that afternoon. They understood this and gave us a key to get changed in the gym area, but unfortunately we had to leave all out belongings in some stair well as we played our round of golf, little un sure about it but everything was fine. The golf course was very good it showed you all parts of the resort whilst having great views, we then arrived back to the resort to finally get in to our rooms. They have a good system in place using a large golf buggy to transport you to the residences area of the resort as it's quite far away from the hotel, only wish they had more then one of these as it would make everything easier and we were also told it was only used for arrivals and departures by reception, this was quite an issue as out bus picked us up from the main reception ( a good 15-20 min walk ) luckily our transfer driver agreed to pick one of us up from the reception and let him guide the driver to our apartment, would be a lot easier if they ran an in house bus/shuttle service! The rooms had great views of the golf course, the block shared a pool, big bedrooms a huge balcony. Bathrooms were also a very good size. Back at the main hotel there are some good bars one that stays open late huge pool good steak house etc. All in all a very enjoyable trip just slightly let down by a few things Collapse
