Ibsens hotel is a very nice middle of the road hotel in a really quiet location but with some great cafe and restaurants close by. A really well presented lounge area that is warm comfortable and cozy. 5-6pm guests are invited to comfort hour when the hotel offer you a complementary drink. After a long day sightseeing it's a lovely thing to do. The room was not overly large but it was very clean and well presented. Bathroom was small but again very clean and the shower was good with plenty of hot water. Did not do the breakfast as felt some of the Local eateries offered better choice. Overall I would recommend and I would stay again Collapse

This hotel was the absolute cherry on top for our experience of Copenhagen...three words "location", "cozy" and "accommodating". It's always a bonus when your hotel is so easily accessible directly from the airport. Both train and Metro run directly from Copenhagen airport to Norreport station and regularly too. Sorry forgot to mention Norreport station is literally a 5 minute walk from Ibsens Hotel (or less depending on how fast your strides are and how heavy your suitcase is of course). We arrived and were greeted promptly with a smile by very friendly and helpful staff who were very upfront and honest about our prepaid room (bookings.com) assuring us that if we had any problems with the size we could upgrade (of course for a small fee...111DKR per night) as we had booked a small double room. Naturally this caused a little apprehension and unlocking the door to our hotel room was like unveiling the inevitability of our trip. Not going to lie we did have a good old laugh out loud moment but it was actually quite quaint, cozy and pleasant. The room itself was small however bathroom was a grand size with a wet room style shower and an added bonus was a sweet little study room through an alcove door frame on the other side of the room (the only downfall was there was no main lighting in this room only a small lamp). Room lacked any storage furniture to unpack as well as 60% of the plug sockets not working...so much so on the first morning this fault led us to believe our kettle was not working however the staff were very quick to provide us with a new kettle once we informed them...this led us to figure out it was not the kettle but actually the electrics. Did I mention the original kettle was secured to the wall with wire clips hence why we couldn't play trial and error before! Our bed was small but cozy...the bonus of travelling with a loved one. The hotel reception and bar area is really relaxed and makes you feel very comfortable and content as if in your own living room at home...fire place, library, board games, you name it. We also ordered a pizza from La Rocca, the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel while getting settled for a night in the bar. Pizza was delicious however I think they forgot about us as it took so long and we had to remind them after 45mins...it eventually arrived about an hour after placing our order. On our last day we didn't realise check out was at 11am but staff were very accommodating allowing us to check out after midday and we had the benefit of storing our luggage in the secure luggage room in the basement for the day as we had a late evening return flight. I have to say I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Copenhagen...if you want a great location with easy walking distance to an ample amount of popular amenities and don't mind a little less luxury but coziness in exchange then this is definitely the place for you! We particularly thought that cosy hour from 5-6pm where free drinks are given was a nice touch. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the free wi fi worked well. Copenhagen is a lovely clean city with plenty of things to see and do. Next to the hotel is an excellent italian restaurant called La Rocca where we had a first class meal. We would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Copenhagen. Collapse

The Metro from the airport to Norreport makes this hotel very easy to reach. Our room was on the top floor, and was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit funky, with only the shower curtain to separate the shower from the room, but it worked fine and the water was hot. The breakfast buffet was truly wonderful with great breads, cheeses, porridge, yogurt, fruit - all kinds of great things to choose from. The service is very friendly, staff very helpful. The "cozy hour" was very pleasant, except when there was a too-loud music group that prevented us from conversing with other guests! The hotel is comfortable but definitely not a luxury hotel. We enjoyed the fact the the other guests all looked like people we would like to get to know! We dined twice at the Italian restaurant connected to the lobby, La Rocca, and had excellent meals both times, served by friendly and enthusiastic waiters. We had an overly heavy meal at the Spanish restaurant on the other side of the lobby, Pinxtos. The Japanese inspired Sticks n' Sushi served up an unexpectedly delicious dinner. And the wine bar just a few steps down the street, Bibendum, was also excellent. After our full days visiting Copenhagen and surroundings we were pleased to eat so well without having to walk any distance at all. Ibsens Hotel suited us very well as we liked the simple Danish Modern decor, the unpretentious and friendly atmosphere and the excellent location. Collapse
