This may very well be my first not so good review but this is why reviews are important. First and foremost, this seems like a great hospital. Incredibly clean and organized. The good: The entire setup makes for a very safe environment in my opinion. The hotel itself is clean. Rooms are clean. Hotel staff is nice. The bad: This is NOT a hotel in my personal opinion. This is a hospital complex that allowed a hotel chain to rent their 4th floor without signage, and very bad logistics. There seem to be very little willingness from the hospital staff from security to regular hospital staff to accommodate hotel guests. It seems like mixing water and oil. The hospital complex is very big so be ready to walk a lot, ask a lot of questions, struggle with staff, be challenged in many entrance spots, and get lost a lot until you find your way to the 4th floor where your room awaits. I decided to journal our entire experience so you get an idea of just how bad the logistics are designed here, completely stacked against the traveler. We got here late at night and drove around a lot because there was no hotel signage so we drove and drove. Finally, we asked some people outside and they told us the hotel was inside the hospital. It's sort of a very big hospital complex surrounded by a one-way street so we again circled around in our rental and were able to enter the emergency drop off area, asked the late night security staff that asked if we were checking in or checking out (at that time we did not how important that question was), we said check in so he let us in, told us where to park (at the end of an alley), we did, unloaded our bags, then were challenged by hospital security at the entrance, had to register our names with the hospital, took the elevator to the 4th floor, where we were greeted by the hotel staff. The gentleman (Daniel I believe) was incredible cordial and amicable. Gave us our rooms and told us where to find food around the area that late at night, we walked about 30 minutes to find some food and walked back to the hotel, again negotiating the sprawling hospital complex, got lost a few times and redirected by security staff back to the hospital, to the 4th floor, back to our rooms. Next day, we left to run some errands, upon our return around 8PM, the security staff did not want to let us back in! We said, we are hotel guests, he said you must park across the street from the hospital. We were like, well, could you let us back to the hotel so we can get the parking permit, he finally ceded and let us in with the condition we went upstairs and came right back down. We did. Had to pay around $8 per day for parking, had to circle around the hospital complex (about 2.5 miles long) and find the hospital parking, park, and walk back to the hospital, negotiate hospital entrance security, get lost in the hospital, and finally find our way back to the 4th floor to our room. Tomorrow, on our 3rd day, I think we know more the logistics, have our parking card, and I think we know the hospital complex better, so hopefully it will be a good couple of days left. My final point: There are so many hotel offers in San Juan and surround areas, and Puerto Rico is a small island (50 x 100 miles aprox) that there is no need to really (unless you are having surgery at the hospital) to put yourself through this. My advice to the hotel management: Sit down with the hospital management. Figure out better your guests logistics. Train hospital staff to understand they are unwilling hosts of tourists that bring good to the island (also you are in the hospitality business). I love Puerto Rico with all my heart and wish all tourists leave like me: ALWAYS WITH A SMILE. Please fix this situation. Collapse

Upon check-in the receptionist was not pleasant or caring in her Customer Service. Once in the room, there were hairs in both bed's linen and the shower floors were moldy.

The hotel is in the fourth floor of a Hospital. To reach it, we had to use a lift and none of them seem to work at the beginning. Once we got there, an old lame lady came to us in a rude mood after waiting for few minutes and then we did the check in. Besides that, the room was pretty good but it was extremely cold in both corridors and room, that we had to use the blanket to sleep (at 80F). The heater was not working. Collapse

Although the room was comfortable, this hotel was located IN THE HOSPITAL ITSELF on the 4th floor, parking was very inconvenient because you have to drive all around the entire hospital complex to get to it! When you check out, you have to get your car out of the parking lot first, then take your parking card back to the desk to return it, if you don't you get charged a hefty fee. Mind you, you have to deal with shaky security guards during all this. Not happy with this stay!!!! Collapse
