The hotel is on the 4th floor of a hospital. I was here because my mom had emergency heart surgery. So far I've been here 12 days. It's convenient because it's located in the hospital but other than that... the service is terrible, the rooms are old and one of the rooms I was in was dirty. The pillow looked like someone had slept on it. The bathroom shower curtain had mold. There's never anyone at the reception desk and there was a problem with the room key. I had no key... the only way to get into my room was by finding the front clerk and asking her to open the door for me. If you want to extend you need to check out of the room and return 3 hours later to go through the check in process again. Considering that I am here because I am going through a very stressful and emotional situation.... the added stress is not appreciated. Very disappointed. I rather sleep in a chair in my mom's hospital room!! Collapse

My visit to the hotel was due to a family crisis so I needed basic comfort. The wifi worked wonderfully, the bed was comfortable, towels fluffy. The staff was very helpful, ordering us pizza, showing us where the stores were located , and accommodating my service dog(most important of all!) will definitely recommend this place to stay. The primary purpose of this hotel is to provide rooms for families that need to visit patients in the Medical Center of PR hospitals. I met both PR and mainland US families staying here. (The hotel rooms are on the 4th floor of the cardiovascular hospital and it is a 5 minute walk to the Trauma hospital or other hospitals in the complex.) Things that may turn you off; missing light cover, outlet adapters that won't stay in place, cold shower, no toilet paper holder, sagging curtains, lack of lock chain on door, a rusty base to the floor lamp. However, you are not paying for a modern, well appointed, sparkly, US-style new room. You are paying for proximity to your loved one. And with this in mind this room is totally adequate: The bed is comfortable(extra blanket in wardrobe), towels clean and changed daily, the room is clean, there is shampoo and lotion and a hair dryer in the bath, thin-screen tv, coffee maker, and wifi works well. Ice is available on the 6th floor (an actual hospital floor) in the pantry room The front desk staff is friendly and bilingual - the two young women I met there speak English quite well. There is a food court in the complex (Burger King and Subway as well as local fare) and a small grocery store and other eating places all within a 5 minute walk of the hotel building. My 3 star rating in based on a "local, island scale" rubric. IOW - relative to what's normal in PR not in the US. In the US this would likely be a 2 star. The location and quality work well for last minute, emergency accommodations and allow you to focus on the medical purpose of your visit. Be prepared for a 3$ a day "hotel charge" that will be due upon check in. This was not part of my Expedia-made reservation/pre-payment Other posters mention parking. I came from the airport via a 25$ taxi ride. I was later told that an Uber ride would be half of that. I had planned to take the "Urbano" train (there is a station at the complex) but was advised at the airport that due to the random nature of the connecting bus schedule this process might take up to 2 hours for a 14 mile or so journey. Very expensive parking

The hotel has quite cozy rooms, but they do not have their own parking and the nearest ones are very distant and expensive.
