We have just returned from a four night stay at the Montelin apartments. We booked 3 studio apartments for a group of 7, having one of the studios for three of us. Prior to our visit, I emailed to request 3 rooms next to each other if possible on the first floor. My friend had also emailed to ask if the rooms had hairdryers. We were very impressed to receive a very prompt response to both our emails. We checked in at the Villaconcha Hotel across the road and were greeted very warmly, extremely pleasant staff and very helpful. We had been given 3 rooms on the first floor with two of the rooms being next door to each other and the other, just one room away. We were impressed that they had at least attempted to meet our request. As we had arrived on an early flight we fully appreciated that our rooms may not be available. However they were able to provide one room which was fine. The Montelin apartments are across the road from the Villaconcha, both places require the room card to access the gate to the grounds. The Montelin apartments are in smaller grounds and have a smaller pool area but plenty of sun loungers, a lot quieter than Villaconcha although again, the grounds were very pleasant and nice pool area which guests in both accommodations can use. Our studio apartment was very clean, spacious, the kitchen area is well equipped, a decent size fridge, small hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. Washing up liquid, dish cloths and t-towels are provided. The room has 3 full size beds, two together and one on its own. There is a wardrobe and drawers available, also a decent sized safe for valuables which was included in the room price with no extra charges! Very good air con avaialble. The bathroom has a shower, which is excellent, and toilet in it but the sink is actually in the main bedroom area and not in the bathroom. This would be our only criticism as you had to go outside the toilet to wash your hands. There is a nice sized balcony with a table and chairs as well as an airer for drying. Also a TV with English channels available! We were informed there is free WiFi, however we were having difficulties accessing this throughout our stay. The apartments are not serviced daily and we did feel that whilst the rooms were very clean, we thought the floors could have perhaps been swept better. However this is a minor criticism and did not affect our stay in any way. We were advised that Guests can use the Villaconcha for breakfast, if you choose to have breakfast daily throughout your stay it is €8 but otherwise it is €10. We are not able to comment on this. The location of the Montelin is excellent, a few minutes from the beach and sea front where there is a Spar supermarket which is well stocked. Also a short walk to the marina and lots of restaurants. There is a bigger supermarket nearer the town about a 10 minute walk away. Puerto de Pollensa is a very pretty resort, lots of places to eat and drink. The beach is very nice, plenty of sun loungers and parasols available, the cost is €15 for two loungers and a parasol for the day. There are boat trips available as well. On our last evening, the manager Juame visited us to ask about our stay, we felt this was a very nice touch. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it is ideal for a quieter holiday, we felt the staff were excellent, greeted guests with a smile, good humoured and certainly very happy to assist. We would certainly use this accommodation again should we return. Collapse

This was our second year running at the Montelin apartments, and again we were not disappointed. The studios are a quieter option, across a quiet road from the main hotel. They were ideal for us and our 9 year old son. We visited in the school summer holidays and never had a problem getting a sun lounger by the pool, unlike the main hotel where loungers are reserved with towels first thing in the morning. I made use of the great Olympic pool, and my husband used the gym. Overall this hotel is excellent value, the rooms are clean and had a refurb a couple of years ago. Location is perfect, a 10/15 min walk along the promenade into the main square and a few minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach where you can always get a sun lounger. There is also a very handy shop opposite the beach which sells everything you could want. We went half board - very good breakfast, evening meal okay buffet options. Lots of good value restaurants nearby. We noticed that not so many ate in the hotel this year. One downside is that the hotel doesn't provide pool towels, and the only option to wash them was to put them into the hotel laundry for 24 hours! Collapse
Fantastics holiday yet again!

Just got back from a 10 night stay in the Montelin studio's and feeling very depressed. We have come here 3 times in the last 5 years and every time we have come we enjoy ourselves more and more. Friendliness of the staff was as it has always been, perfect and they were so happy to help. Maria in particular was fantastic and couldn't have been more polite and accommodating, she made my husbands pre 40th birthday just as we had wanted. The studio were as clean as ever, the facilities were just enough. Couldn't recommend Montelin Studios if you are a family of 3 as all the children tend to be an only child and this is just wonderful as my daughter made some lovely friends who she has shared some wonderful memories with. Wished I had booked for 14 nights but that will be next time. Collapse

Stayed for a week here in July in the Montelin studio's, literally a stones throw from Villa Concha. We stayed half board, with a 16 yr old and a 10 yr old. Couldn't fault the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the studio, the pool area, the food and have to say even though we didn't have very young children the kids entertainer was very likeable & he worked hard to entertain the kids I felt though that this wasn't too much and overpowering for those wanting a holiday without being constantly interrupted by kids play and music so no complaints from us. The manager was extremely pleasant and approached us on several occasions to ensure we were happy with our stay. Just wished we could have stayed longer. Puerto Pollensa is beautiful, lovely beach and lots of nice bars and restaurants. We very much enjoyed the 'Robinson's' boat trip from the harbour a 7 hour boat trip, snorkelling & sea fishing they dropped those that didn't want to fish at cala formentor beach which is stunning, lovely lunch included too, lovely guys on board, nothing was too much trouble, the kids really enjoyed the day. This is a relaxing hotel not overcrowded we wouldn't hesitate to return. Collapse
