A lot of the strip is pretty pricey nowadays but the hooters rates are very reasonable and the tables have reasonable minimums. It's a short walk to the main casinosand new T-Mobile arena so you can still explore easily. Rooms are adequate with decent room and the pool area is fine. Collapse

Very fun hotel with comfortable rooms, good service and a very good restaurant. The casino offers a good variety of slots and games. Free parking is a plus. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was very convenient to the strip.

I booked because it was the most reasonably priced hotel near the MGM where I had a convention to attend. The rooms (I left for one night and came back) were quiet. In one I watched planes take off from the airport practically next door but could not hear them! Beds were very comfortable, bathroom clean (even the tub caulking was spotless). The staff was helpful and fun. As a single woman, I felt safe and comfortable. Saw families here, too. Unlike the high price hotels, you don’t have to walk through “miles” of slot machines, gaming tables, incredibly expensive restaurants, and a confusing labyrinth of hallways to get to elevators to your room. You walk through a casino (one long room) with all the slot machines and tables one would want. I stayed one night at a very costly, famous and elegant hotel casino and would pick Hooter’s anytime - even if cost were no object. Collapse

My wife and I , both in our 40’s, stayed at Hooters Hotel and Casino Las Vegas from 17th September for 2 weeks and had an absolute ball. Had visited a few years back for a day so sort of knew what to expect but this year we were forced to swap from Orlando at the last minute due to hurricane Irma and took a chance on Hooters as it is close enough to the strip for it not to matter and benefits by being at the happening end of the strip nowadays with the new T-Mobile arena by the NYNY and the garden and sitting areas available which allow you to grab a seat and table and chill with a cheap beer from the CVS whilst life passes by. The hotel has been remodelled extensively since we were last there and this has improved it greatly, the hotel now has a more natural flow to it, you walk straight into the reception area, then there’s the casino floor and down the sides is the famous restaurant and gift shops etc, whilst the other side has the sports area and bars , leading to the café at the back with a Pizza Hut and then the pool area. We got a smoking room and we are so glad we did, weirdly even if I didn’t need to get one I would ask for it, purely due to the fact they come with an opening patio door and tiny balcony area but it is enough to totally lift the experience. The non-smoking rooms had no patio doors and their windows only opened a touch. The point to this is that as it was September and a bit cooler at night we were able to switch off the noisy air-con unit and open the door and let the desert breeze in, pitch our chairs up to the balcony and from the 10th floor watch the helicopters coming into land and life passing by beneath us , we had a great view of the MGM and strip , but being the closest hotel to the airport you also get the planes coming and going quite close so all in all the room was great and exceeded our expectations. Room was recently decorated, surprisingly very large and proper clean, new TV with so many channels I lost count at 75, HBO movies, all the sports, everything’s free, iron and board. No fridge of course and no coffee making stuff but we had brought coffee and mate out with us and just bought a kettle for $20 so that was sorted. The corridor occasionally smelt of weed (as it is legal there now in small bags) but nothing too bad and it never got into our room. Air-con was really loud but you do get used to it, I left it off a couple of nights and left the patio open but we were overlooking the hotel recycling bit and the guys there fling bags of rubbish onto a metal conveyor belt and sort the bottles out and throw them around a bit, this goes on all night so in the end shut the door and just got used to the noisy aircon. Sports bar is good, $1 frozen margaritas are ace and they pack a punch, $10 for a bucket of 5 bud light is a steal anywhere and $20 for the bucket of bud and a large pizza (proper big and from the Pizza Hut in the café) is the value shout, for a hotel this close to the strip it was remarkable value. Beer was priced ok too, especially the 24oz cans of beer from the gift shop fridge @ $5, can’t say enough about how price friendly this place is. We watched the NFL and college games most nights there. Used the gym 3-4 times a week, 2 treadmills and various X-trainers, loose weights and other stuff, very good for its size. The pool however was something else. Opened at 9am and we had no trouble at all at any time of the day getting 2 beds, and the beds are mesh and comfortable not hard plastic. Umbrellas are on demand and foc and there is waitress service if you want it. The Hooters restaurant bar opens out onto the pool and is very pretty when in full swing, they have pool games out foc and a huge TV screen at the far end of the pool showing sports all day, really was a great place to spend a few hours. The sun scorches the pool in Sept from 9.30am to about 3-30pm and although the water is very cold it was bearable, very clean and tidy and very easy going. Security were in attendance for most of our stay and you had to show your room key to access the lifts at night which I thought was great and very reassuring. So all in all a great vacation and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice hotel at affordable prices, both for the stay and the food and drinks, families were there too and it was never at any stage a tacky experience, even the Hooters restaurant is upmarket to others we have been in. Cannot fault the place at all and the 10 min walk through the Tropicana hotel next door to the strip was a nice excursion each day, the bus stops are all in a 10 min walking radius and we got the 3 day bus pass and did the Premium Outlets at both ends of the strip and Town Square shopping village, the Fashion Show Mall, Walmart , Target, and of course the strip itself, getting off at the Wynn and walking back. We got ripped off by the Airport taxi taking us the ‘Tourist’ route to the hotel ($30) so we downloaded the Uber app and just used them, was brilliant. We got an Uber back to the airport for $11. Must add – strangely – don’t book this hotel through their own website as the prices are really high, for some reason I read before I booked that using a hotel finder gets you a far better deal, I priced our 2 weeks up on the Hooters website for over $1500 plus taxes plus dreaded resort fee, then used Expedia and got the room with taxes for £765. Had to pay the resort fee of $30 a night (Grrrrrr, didn’t even print my boarding passes) but hey ho at least you know about it before you go. WIFI was included and worked great in our room on the 10th floor. Can’t wait to go back and stay here again and that’s as my first choice hotel, it was that good. Nice sized resort with everything, feels like a big pub really but not overwhelming like the other resorts. Collapse
