3 night stay with 2 adults. The Short: Excellent stay, room, staff, price and location. The Long: This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. The staff is incredible, From the moment you arrive at the front door at street level they are very professional. The only negative is that the hotel does not have a pull off for your vehicle for check in. There is a place for temporary parking but it only fits about 6 cars. The rooms are very clean and include all you would need to live in the suite forever. The pull out couches are a little stiff to sit on but in general it is fine. Beds are comfortable, rooms spacious, plenty of closet and drawers. Lots of towels even though just the 2 of us this time. We did not use the pool this visit although it was really nice last time. TONS of outlets and USB plug in spots in bedroom, sitting room and kitchen. Nice change from most hotel rooms. Breakfast was crowded but there were signs everywhere informing guests when best time to get breakfast were. We did not valet check the car but when we checked out the bellman helped my wife to the car with our luggage while I waited for her to come down. One of the valets helped my wife with her personal items and then noticed I had white paint on my door handle and side of Lexus from an earlier run in with the garage door jam. I had not dealt with it yet. He said he had a tip - use hand sanitizer to take off the garage paint and it would not harm the car paint. He disappears for a few seconds as bellman was loading luggage and next thing I know he has a rag and hand sanitizer and asks if it would be OK to try it, I said sure (he seemed really knowledgeable and eager to help). He started to work on the door and said it was working. He said it was a bit stubborn (he didn't know it had been on there for 3 months) and after about 3 minutes said he was done. I asked his name (Ninos) and if he was with hotel (he is with American Valet). I tried to give him a $20 tip - least I could do especially since this was so noticeable on the passenger side). He would not take it from me. I handed the 20 to my wife thinking she could not get him to take it but no luck. He told us to have a safe trip and helped guide me out of the parking spot since it was a bit tight. WHO DOES THIS!!!! AMAZING! THANK YOU NINOS!!! The hotel is one block from the Grand Ave underground. If you want to get around Chicago head down there. There was a very nice transit employee woman I asked about using system who was inside a booth -she offered to come out and showed us how to use the CTA machine to get a 24 hours pass ($10). What a deal! All over the city on both L trains and bus with no longer than 10 minute wait anywhere we went. Don't be afraid to ask Chicagoians for help - the vast majority are right there for you. i stayed here with my wife and daughter for one night to get to an appointment at the consulate nearby. The location is perfect walking distance from the consulate and lots of options for restaurants nearby. Also the suites come with a full kitched with all the amenities and are decent sized for family with a child. Absolutely no parking on site, but there are a few parking structures near the building.
