Stayed here in September for a week. Bit dubious when read reviews, mostly about the stairs, but they were not a problem. The staff carry your cases on arrival and departure, nothing is too much trouble. Decor was great in the reception and the rooms were well equipped, very clean everywhere and plenty sunbeds. I have never known such lovely staff, so pleasant and helpful. Food in the bar was good and there was a shop right across the road. The location, along the Irish strip was fine. never heard any noise from the bars. I love Santa Ponsa, second visit, would stay at these apartments again. Collapse

Lovely hotel and everything about our stay was just brilliant. I agree that the staff make the place feel so special. Especially Valerio, Carl and Chris who made our holiday one to remember. Extremely friendly and lovely guys. The apartments are kept very clean and have all the usual amenities in the kitchen you need to make snacks and breakfast. We had a pool view apartment which was very comfortable space wise for 3 and nice being able to sit on the balcony and watch all the goings on in the pool below. The location of the hotel is great and we could be at the beach within a few minutes. There's a decent supermarket just down the road and a couple of proper big ones within the resort. Valerio will call a taxi for you at reception if you need one to venture further afield. We went to Porto Andrax one night which was a lovely afternoon/night out. Great holiday and we look forward to returning to Holiday Park next year. Collapse

I had high expectations of this place for our fortnight stay given its previous reviews on trip advisor, yet also slightly wary due to only having an official star rating of 2 but this place certainly did not disappoint. The hotel is situated within walking distance off all the bars, restaurants (a few mins walk if that) and the beach (a five min walk) yet it's far enough away from the noise of the bars so you can still enjoy some peace. There is a shop over the road where you can buy everything you need as well as other shops scattered along the road. First impressions were fantastic, the hotel is immaculate! And the staff can't do enough for you. There is a reception area which is always manned 24 hours a day and luggage room which gets locked and has CCTV. We were given an apartment on the 2nd floor. Yes there are steps, and this isn't a place for anyone who cannot manage steps but we're not talking hundreds, from the pool to our room I would say approx 40 steps but they aren't all in one go, there are paths in between and you wouldn't get such a good view without a few steps to climb. We had no problem and neither did my 8 year old daughter. Throughout our stay the staff helped us with our bags, getting our sun loungers in a morning, if they saw you lifting anything they would be over straight away to offer help! The rooms are basic but do have everything you need and again are immaculate. Our room consisted of a lounge/kitchen with kettle, toaster, electric hob, pots/pans, cutlery, lcd TVs with English channels, a door which led to an enclosed balcony so safe for younger kids and there was also a single sofa which converted to a bed. The bedroom had twin beds pushed together with a big wardrobe and drawers and the bathroom had bath and shower, towels, hairdryer. Throughout the day, around the pool there are activities but still times for relaxing and you only take part of you want to. Activities included bingo, water volleyball, inflatable races, darts, killer pool as well as plenty for the kids to join in with such as higher or lower game, colouring, kids love the bingo and inflatable races too. The kids loved the parrot show one afternoon too. There is a battle for sun loungers in a morning, my only criticism of the place really. Beds are available at 9am and not a minute before but as there were not enough beds, people were up waiting for the clock to strike 9am to ensure not only a bed but also to get the best spot as some areas of the pool don't get the sun after 3pm. The rules state you cannot save beds with towels but everybody does it so whilst the beds are spoken for at 9am, people don't tend to be lying on them until 10am sometimes later! There is of course the option of sunbathing at the beach but bed hire isn't cheap! Around 8 euros for each bed per day. Evening entertainment is defiantly family orientated. The kids are involved throughout. Entertainment consisted of kids disco and then a range of things such as a hypnotist show, singers, bingo, BBQ nights, karaoke, quizzes etc. The entertainment staff are great. Carl is crazy but lovely, great with adults and kids and really creates a fantastic atmosphere as did Paige. There is a snack bar at the pool, the food is delicious and freshly prepared. The bar staff are extremely hard working, attentive, friendly and do all the can to ensure you have a great holiday. The food and drinks are what you would expect in terms of price, it is cheaper to eat out and have drinks in the bars but you'll have so much fun here you won't want to leave. Santa Ponsa itself attracts mainly English and Irish. Lots of Irish bars around but good craic. There are areas that were a tad like Blackpool/Benidorm but not so bad that you can't walk the strip with the kids of an evening. The place is clean, friendly and the beach is clean too. There are bus services for 3.50 euros which take you to Palma, it takes approx 20 mins, buses are clean and air conditioned and very reasonable prices and I would definately recommend a visit to Palma, a lovely city with lots to see! Overall a fantastic holiday, a fantastic hotel, it really is the best in Santa Ponsa, friends who have stayed at other places really haven't been as happy as we were here! I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay here! Collapse

Took the family back to Holiday park this summer for our third time and had another amazing week. The hotel is always kept absolutely spotless which is one of the main reasons my wife loves it here so much. Also the friendliness of all the staff never ceases to amaze us. They go out of their way to welcome you and that level of customer service continues till the minute you leave. We paid for a pool view apartment which was great and recommend them over the regular ones, and loved the slick new TVs with all the UK channels on, but we hardly used it as we were down by the pool all the time. The kids as always enjoyed the pool and making friends with other kids, which is largely due to the safe family atmosphere and the entertainers who kept them busy with lot's of fun group stuff for them to join in with. The main entertainer that had been there for the last few years had been replaced by a new guy, Carl, who was actually just as good, if not better and there was also a nice Irish girl who helped him. They were full of energy and fun and I think we enjoyed watching Carl as much as the kids. Another great family holiday for us and I hope they keep up the great work they're doing here as we'll probably be back next year! Collapse

We stayed here for a week as a family of 4 and had an amazing holiday. The staff are out of this world and make you feel so at home it's unbelievable. The apartments are really big and the cleanest we've ever experienced, with the cleaners coming in regularly and replacing the towels and changed the sheets also. Food at the bar was cooked to order and very good. The burgers were delicious! And it wasn't over priced like some hotels we've stayed at. Loved that there is plenty of things going on for kids and then at night the whole complex is kept so quiet so you get to sleep properly. The location was ideal for the beach and eating out and we've already decided we're going to go back next summer we all enjoyed it here so much. Big thank you to all the staff! Collapse
