Parking is opposite on the other side of the carriage way, unless you have booked an executive room then it is at the hotel. You get a token when you go into the car park then you can walk through an under pass to get to the hotel. It is brightly lit at night. You can pay for parking at the hotel. I think it is about £3.25 but this is each time you leave the car park. Check in - Two members of staff at the desk but only 1 person checking people in. No smile or look to acknowledge that we were there by either member of staff. Check in quick but not very friendly or warm. Room was large & clean but lacked character. Bathroom door was frosted which I didn't like at all & if I had known in advance I wouldn't have booked (prudish like that!!) Bed was comfy. Our room rate included dinner on the first night. Your choices are shown by the green Inc on the menu. I had seen in the lift that fish and chips was Friday's dish of the day but that wasn't on the menu & there was no specials board!!! I asked the waitress if I could have that & after asking the chef it was agreed. Chose desert and then the people at the table next to ours ordered chocolate brownie and ice cream - my favourite but again not on any menu that we saw. It turned out to be on the bar menu but could've been an option if we'd known!! Fish and chips was not on either menu. There was a large group that was getting food from a buffet section but that was not offered as an option & no information anywhere that we saw. Overall just an ok stay but wouldn't return Collapse

If you are looking for run of the mill, large chain hotels then this will delight you - to be fair, when I booked this, it was what I was expecting. Be aware that you can only park in the hotel car park if you book an executive room - if not, you have to park over the road and pay £3.70 per day. The hotel is a short walk away but you have to go through an underpass and I am not sure I would want my wife or daughters doing this late at night. Hotel is right beside a busy road so if your room is on that side, its noisy and you cant have the window open at night. The hotel was really cold this morning and we had a meeting room which was noisy....food seems to be okay. Rooms are okay and for the money, you pay for what you get - gym, pointless. Collapse

The hotel itself was nice and food was good but check in took at least 15 minutes. Parking not provided which we weren't told about until check in. Staff were extremely rude. No eye contact, no smiles no welcoming. I prepaid for my room in the harry potter tour deal and at checkout I was going to be charged for my room of £45 until I said that I had already paid. I understand mistakes happen but the staff made out as though it was my fault for their mistake. I wouldn't even mind but I didn't even kick off or argue about it. I would not recommend this hotel I would recommend premier inn around the corner Collapse

Hospitable it wasn't. Very poor greeting by male receptionist ... parking across the road unless an executive room and lied to by breakfast waiter. NEVER AGAIN! I asked the receptionist why he had such a manner but denied that he did ... he said all the right words but there was no sincerity or warmth. Going across to the car park was ridiculous and hardly any staff around at breakfast and then the waiter lied about my tea. No thanks. Collapse
