Visited as part of a Peppa Pig World deal. Wonderful for kids, friendly staff and nice comfortable rooms, pool was perfect. Restaurant had the ingenious kids' buffet, which was perfect for our little ones. Other items on the menu were very good too. And bar was comfortable enough for the adults to visit in the evening once the kids had gone down. Felt a little bad for anyone traveling without children as it was absolute chaos with loads of over-excited children everywhere you went. Wonder if they put adult visitors on a different floor? However we could not have been happier. Food was surprisingly good, staff very friendly and helpful, and only 15 minutes from Peppa Pig. Collapse

Stayed here for two nights room only and used my IHG Rewards card to get the best rate booked direct in advance with the hotel. We were allocated room 233, which overlooked the crossroads outside the hotel but was away from the lifts. On arrival we checked in and I was given an envelope with a ‘gift’ because I was an IHG card holder. Well that gift turned out to be a Jacobs Orange Club biscuit – to be honest, I felt it would have been better to not give guests such a reward, as I felt a somewhat insulted. They would have been better off leaving biscuits in the room with the tea and coffee (there weren’t any) like any other hotel. The room was clean with a super king sized bed and a decent bathroom. One thing was the room was very warm and it seems that at this time of year, you can’t switch the aircon to chill the room, so we had to leave the windows open. We couldn’t open them very far as they have restrictors fitted. There were lots of families staying there as there is some sort of deal with the children’s Pepper Pig World nearby. Be prepared for some noise in the corridors but they are usually in bed by the time you want to sleep. Staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. WiFi was free but there were also BT hotspots, so BT Broadband customers could log onto that service. We didn’t eat in the restaurant. Collapse

Not sure if it the welcoming smile from the receptionist as you arrive after a long day at work or the relaxed happy 'chit-chat' between members of staff, but something make you think you have made the right choice of place to stay. This hotel is ideally situated next to a leisure centre and not far from the M3 motorway giving easy access to Southampton and surrounding area. Although only here one night I was impressed with the friendliness and customer care attitude of the reception, room service and breakfast staff that I met. The restaurant consists of a larger room containing the self service area with an adjacent smaller, more intimate area. There are also doors giving access to a large outside patio area, framed with palm trees. Either the smaller area or the outside (if available) would be perfect for that 'special occasion' meal. Children are also well looked after with a choice of 3 types of seating to assist them at the dining table, a normal high-chair with attached plastic tray, the more traditional wooden high-chair without a tray, and a special upholstered attachment that gives the older child a boost on an adults' chair. There is also an onsite heated indoor pool within the Spirit Health Club to keep everyone happy as well as beauty treatments, gym, etc. The hotels website also recommends the 'Pepper Pig' package for families who may be visiting due to the nearby PP Theme Park. I have never seen so many happy parents with contented children using a restaurant and reception area without the crying, running about and general noise that accompanies energetic children. I am sure the hotels staff and facilities contribute greatly to this pleasant atmosphere. Collapse

This hotel should carry a health warning!! As it is close to Peppa Pig World, it is evidently used a lot by families with very young children whose parents allow them to run around the public areas as if it is a play park, screaming at the top of their lungs. I actually have nothing against children when they are reasonably well controlled but this was ridiculous. Evening meal and breakfast were a torture. This was a great pity as everything else was dry good. The staff, especially in the circumstances were brilliant, and the room was comfortable and clean. If this hotel is to be used in this way, people should be made aware when booking. Collapse

I ran an all day course at the hotel and the conference room facilities fully met my needs and of those who attended. The reception staff were very helpful on arrival, the room was clean and prepared well for use, the tea and coffee facilities were varied and good and the lunch provided was well received by all attendees. Frank, one to the staff members was extremely helpful in providing support for the day. Thank you. Collapse
