The Room was very spacious and clean, the towels were soft and huge, beds were comfy and the staff were so friendly especially in the restaurant. We stayed as part of the package for peppa pig world, so were in a family room, the downside was that the walls are quite thin and it being in a package deal for the theme park there was lots of noise from other families, and at 11:30 at night there were children running up and down the corridor outside the room which was just rude. The food is a little over priced but tasty, the kids eat free and it was a buffet style for them with basics of chips, fish fingers, chicken nuggets, pizza, garlic bread, with peas and beans. It was okay, but nothing more

I DIDN’T stay here for peppa pig world (its a cracking day out for the kids mind!). Was on a training course in Southampton. Room was fine and spacious but a bit hot at night. Health club was a great bonus and all the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The food from the restaurant was perfectly edible however i had a fishermans pot which had clearly come from a bag of frozen seafood bits from Iceland and a sticky toffee pudding which clearly had its origins in a tin. Now that sort of catering is fine but Premier Inn restaurants give you a hell of a lot more choice of dishes and a hell of a lot more food in a portion for significantly lower prices. If i was paying for my meals out of my own pocket i would have stayed in this hotel (i really did like it) and then walked the 100m down the road to the premier inn/brewers fayre for dinner (bonus bit of exercise = i can eat more food too!). But then i do have a big issue with getting value for money. BTW breakfast was fine. Collapse
Perfect for Peppa!

My family stayed here for 1 night whilst we visited Paultons Park for a trip to Peppa Pig land. We have a 4 yr old and 5 month old so we required a family room with a double, a single bed and space for travel cot. The room provided was well equipped and clean, if a little small (but that was disclosed to us prior to booking). The hotel was great with the kids. The received an activity pack and also had milk and cookies for bedtime. The cookies were homemade and delicious! They is also a Peppa Pig placard in the reception with holes cut out for the children to place their faces in. The kids loved this and it was a good photo opportunity. The breakfast was yummy with a good variety. They even had little pots of Nutella which I love. The staff too were friendly and helpful. This is a very good stop-over hotel and helped to make our weekend trip away very enjoyable. Note: this hotel is about 10 mins away from Peppa Pig land by car but it is a very easy journey. There are however closer hotels to Paultons if needed. Collapse
If you're forced to go to Peppa Pig World this is a good option

For those of you that are doing the Peppa Pig World/Paulton's Park short break, first of all you have my sympathy. I've done it twice now and this was definitely better than the first hotel we stayed at. As you approach the hotel you wonder if you have somehow been transported to a remote former-Soviet outpost as you pass a succession of grey concrete blocks and deserted playgrounds then you realise that the concrete block on the corner is your hotel. However, things look up for you when you check in and your child gets a colouring book (do they need more treats when they've just been to PPW for 12 god-forsaken hours?) but yes, they do get more, they get a voucher for milk and cookies from the bar which is actually rather lovely and gives you an excuse to go to the bar and try to drink away the memories of the meltdown in Miss Rabbit's Helicopter. We were travelling as a party of two adults and one adored child and the bed arrangement was a double bed and a pull-out single sofa bed which was designed for those under-13 only (read your T&Cs). In our case Mummy left Daddy and the little one to go to sleep and went downstairs to the pool which only had a few people in it - after a nice swim and a doze in the Jacuzzi I was able to pop back upstairs and find them both asleep. During the night Daddy of course ended up in the baby bed and Mummy and adored child slept in the nice comfy double. Breakfast was quite a jovial affair as all the parents adopted a comradely approach while selecting their buffet options and whispered tips about which queues were the shortest on a Monday morning as though they were exchanging state secrets - all rather fun. And then it's back for another day of paying homage to the omnipresent pig but anything that happened there can hardly be blamed on the Holiday Inn. You could do a lot worse than stay there (I've done a lot worse so I can confirm the truth of that statement). I sound like a right old curmudgeon but if I'm honest we all had a really great time - why else would we have gone back for more! Oh and one more tip, don’t even think of having dinner in the hotel or any McDonald’s type places – there are lots of really great country pubs just a (hefty) stone’s throw from the hotel. Collapse
