Hotel was further from centre than we realised, but shuttle bus (2€ each way) was fairly quick depending on Rome traffic. Limited seat availability, but knowing that was the case we had a backup plan! Local bus service. This was good if slow and we used that mode of transport several times. Hotel itself was ok. Our room had three beds (one z-bed type) and beds were comfortable. En-suite door was a bit quirky in that it hit the basin support and got stuck every time the door was opened! As this wears a dent in the door it won't be a problem for long! Shower was great! Overall a good room, although some items were dusty. No milk provided with tea/coffee unless we asked and then we got 'powdered' milk. As there was a fridge in the room we purchased milk in the supermarket in town! Issue resolved! Great breakfast and friendly staff - dusty room and quirky door lost points, but we would stay here again. Collapse
Spent a great weekend in Rome, and enjoyed the hotel

I was with a group attending Maker Faire in Fiero convention center. We spent the evenings in the cafe downstairs eating pizza, drinking wine, and talking. It was good. The room was good sized and there was a minibar. The downside is the location, which is not easy to get to from the airport. The upside is that they offer a shuttle to downtown Rome for 2 euro! Taxi from the airport to the hotel is 30 euro, plus or minus. Collapse

I would have given this hotel 4 stars if it wasn't for the issues to begin with. Firstly we arrived and had to wait around for check in at 2pm. Whilst waiting we were informed that the double room that was booked was not suitable for a family despite this being the the biggest option when booking via jet2holidays. The receptionist informed us it would cost an additional 30 euro per day to have an additional bed put in the room or we could upgrade for 60 euro. We reluctantly paid the 60 euro even though I feel we shouldn't have. There was only 1 receptionist on the desk when lots of people from coach groups arrived and as such we didn't even get checked in until just after 3pm. The room we upgraded to was the executive room and was quite spacious. Nice comfortable king size bed and day bed/sofa to sleep another. There were lots of grubby marks on the walls and could have benefitted from a repaint but all in all was pleased with the room. We had to ask reception 4 times to get an additional blanket and pillow for my daughter who was also staying in the room. We didn't receive this until 10pm. On the plus side, we opted for a bed and breakfast basis and were not disappointed. Lots of tasty food on offer every morning. Croissants, cereals, fruit, sausage, bacon, eggs and mushrooms also. You could also order pancakes and omelets if you wished. This was a great way to start the day. Yes the location isn't ideal and is certainly not walking distance but we liked being away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel location has very good transport links directly outside. The 881 takes you within walking distance of the vatican museum and only takes around 20 mins. If you get the 808 up the road and get the H bus from where the 808 stops then you can get right into the centre of rome. This way is a lot more time consuming (around 40 mins) but wasn't really an issue for us. The hotel do a shuttle bus for a small charge which we didn't use as was always full (can only take around 8 passengers). The room was cleaned everyday and staff seemed bright and cheerful. We didn't eat any lunch or dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on the food for then but overall very pleased with the hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. PS maybes take a travel kettle as the ones supplied by the hotel have a lot of limescale which is caused by the water in rome which unfortunately we couldn't do anything about. We did ask for another kettle due to limescale in our cuppas and the staff were happy to oblige. Collapse
Only stay here if you have an early flight and JUST need a place to crash

The only way you can get into town and close to the attractions is to take a cab. Not a good location for sightseeing when in Rome. They charge for the shuttle. King bed was literally two twin beds pushed together. Given the reviews that we read prior to visiting we were okay with this as we were really just looking for a cheap place to stay to get to the airport in the morning for an early flight. Again- had to take the taxi. Collapse

We stayed here in Nov 2015, even though it was a Holiday Inn and the stay should have been great but it wasn't. We had problems with the room which was given to us initially, the toilet had a very nasty smell and we requested for it to be changed and our request was obliged. However, the new room had a problem with the safe and we had to call out the handy man to fix. Breakfast was good and lavish but the lady in the dinning area was unpleasant for all 2 days, for some unknown reason. Please bear in mind that this hotel is fair bit of distance from Rome city center - you cant walk to the city center, it has to be a car or a bus ride. I would love to give 4 stars but the breakfast lady treatment and issues with the rooms, makes me give it 3 star. Collapse
