This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Rooms are clean and decorations are current. Very good breakfast offering that is good quality. Staff has been friendly and very helpful. Hotel connects to a shopping mall with several meal options. You must try a Nutella waffle from the Waffle factory in the mall! Hotel is also in a great location. Bus and taxi right outside the hotel doors. Safe and peaceful area. Collapse

When I was planning to come for my first visit to Paris, there was definitely a huge choice of accomodation option, and that can be quite overwhelming. I have always been very satisfied with stays in IHG Properties, especially the Holiday Inn Brand, which I have loved since having stayed at my first Holiday Inn as a Kid in the 1980s. Location: So having set myself that I would prefer to stay at an IHG Hotel, the next choice was regarding location. I definitely wanted to visit Disneyland, Parc Asterix and of course I also wanted to see some of the sights & museums in the City of Paris. The Holiday Inn in Noisy-le-Grand is located along the RER A line, about half-way between Disneyland and the Center of Paris. Even Parc Asterix, while not close in terms of time was easily reached with a simple cross-platform transfer from RER A to RER B and then continuing on to CDG Airport where Shuttles were available towards the Park. I was able to reach everything easily, getting into town in about 20 minutes, and taking the same amount of time to get to Disneyland. The Hotel is very close to the RER Station, practically on top of it. When the Shopping Mall is open then you can easily go through that, and take Porte 14 to get to the Hotel. At other times Sortie 4 from the RER Station takes you up to the Bus Stop building that you can see from the Hotel and you just cross the street near the roundabout. Before coming to the Hotel, but after booking, I read some reviews on here regarding the general area where the Hotel was located, and some made it seem like a dangerous post-apocalyptic dystopian scene from the movies. Honestly, I found none of that and must wonder where these people live (maybe in some less urban areas?) or have travelled so far. I found it to be a typical contemporary urban setting. Could some of the surrounding area have been cleaner? Yes it could, especially the lake could use a deep clean and then regular upkeep. But even the more touristy central Paris areas aren't that much cleaner in appearance. Never saw any Homeless People lingering about outside the Hotel, wheras I did see Homeless People setting up camp on the Bridges to the Île de la Cité. Never was accosted by anyone when leaving or coming to the Hotel, and I always felt perfectly safe while in the Area. My Stay: I arrived after 1800h on a Saturday for a 5 night stay, and was swiftly and efficiently checked-in, and informed about the cost of the City Tax, breakfast times, and felt immediately welcomed. Was assigned a Room on the sixth floor, overlooking the lake and Station building. Loved the view from my room. The Room was very well appointed and had everything I needed. A Kettle with tea and instant coffees, as well as a Pod Coffee machine were great, though instructions on that particular machine would have been helpful, though I quickly figured it out on my own. Non-alcoholic Minibar was also included, which I really appreciated. The amenities available in the bathroom were also great, I was especially thankful for the shaving cream since I noticed upon unpacking that I had forgotten to pack mine. Also the shower gel was really nice. Then there was also shampoo, lotion, a toothbrush with toothpaste, a comb, sewing kit and a disposable razor. While I didn't need everything, I now know that on some of these, I can pack a bit lighter for my next visit. The bathrobe and slippers unfortunately were a bit to small for me, and upon asking at the reception, I was told that they only had these sizes. Still, I can live without. The bed was large and very comfortable, allowing me to get a good nights sleep, and the blackout curtains made sure that outside light didn't disturb my sleep. I'm not sure what to make of the split-bathroom though. While I think that split-bathrooms, if the toilet part also has a sink, can be great in family rooms for allowing family members to get ready quicker, I don't really see the great advantage in rooms that are used by 1-2 people. Also the toilet room did seem a bit cramped the first time I went, but I must've gotten used to it over time because later on I didn't notice that anymore. Breakfast: I had a rate which included breakfast, and I was very satisfied with this option. It allowed me to get a great start in the morning, with several choices from hot to cold, from savory to sweet. I especially loved the Pain au chocolat which were often still warm; the mushrooms were another favorite of mine and I had them every morning. The scrambled eggs were a hit and miss though, on two mornings they were extremely runny, and personally I prefer them a bit firmer. On my last morning there were Meatballs in tomato sauce and small ballshaped potato croquettes, I felt that I had arrived in breakfast heaven. The two types of bread (3 with the toast) were good, as were the cheeses and cold cuts. The Staff in the Breakfast room were wonderful, always wishing me a great day when I would head out. Would I recommend the breakfast? It depends, if you get it included in your rate at a convenient cost, then go for it. But if one had to pay the full price of I believe €16 per person, then no I don't think you really get that value worth. I didn't try the Hotel Restaurant for Dinner, though I did wish that Room Service was available longer in the evening, say until midnight. As one night I returned around 2330h and not having eaten much that evening, I would've been inclined to order something had it been open. Final thoughts. I really enjoyed my 5 nights here, and wish I could've stayed longer. Now the Holiday Inn Paris Marne La Vallee has given me a problem though. For my next visit I thought about perhaps staying on Property at Disneyland when that is the main focus of my stay, or perhaps in another IHG Property within the City when I'm leaning more towards visiting Central Paris. But, since my stay here was so pleasant and I found that I could conveniently reach the places I wanted to go to, and have a comfortable haven awaiting my return, this Hotel will most likely be my top choice again. If there is one thing I was missing, then it was a pool, jacuzzi and sauna for relaxing after a day spent walking many kilometers, but that's not going to be a deal breaker as it wasn't this time either. I recommend for first timer traveler to choose chain hotel such as Holiday Inn. Usually, this kind of hotel already have standard in terms of rooms, service and facilities. This is a good hotel in good location. It's only a walking distance to get to the train station which you can see from the hotel. Although, I didn't try it as the bus already arranged for this trip. One thing that this hotel must consider was the breakfast. Other things already good! Collapse

We chose this Holiday Inn because we saved a few Euros by staying a little out of town. We weren't sure if the extra 10 minutes train ride was going to be worth the savings. We have been blown away by the customer service of this hotel. Primarily Francois has been extremely helpful. He explained the metro system to us, walked us to the elevator, offered us courtesy tooth paste and shaving cream as we left ours back in the states. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Paris. Thank you Francois for your hospitality. Collapse
