Rooms are small but a decent size for NYC standards, bathroom very clean and right size, the bathroom vanity kind of awkward depth from the wall longer than usual, but OK. Hot water always available instantly. Clothes closet very small, they have a mini fridge (no freezer) in the room The pillows are soft and the bed was firm, the room was clean, Linen was clean. They have pretty good coffee with a Keurig machine in the room. Elevator a couple of times took more 10 mins to get to our floor and being available, but it was not a crisis. The building has more than 30 stories and two elevator for customer and services. The price we paid was not bad, maybe because we booked at last time and they need to fill up. Subway is one block ahead (A,C,E) and 1,2,3 and other pretty close at Time Square The A/C-Heater was exceptional, no noise at all and efficient, the window curtain type was excellent to block all light in the morning We didn't use restaurant as there are a lot of options around and close to the hotel, and the hotel doesn't offer free breakfast. Just returned from a great 10 night stay. The hotel is well placed for all the usual New York attractions. The room's are on the small side but we weren't in it much except to sleep. Rooms are well equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, safe, hairdryer, iron etc and some lovely toiletries. It was very clean and comfortable and cleaned daily. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, I'd have given it 5 stars if the neighbours hadn't kept slamming their bedroom door and we'd not had to wait for the lift . Although we only had to wait a while 3 times and it does warn you about busy times of the day. I'd certainly stay again. Collapse

Just returned from staying here for 4nights, would return to this hotel and NYC in a heartbeat. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, especially Juan and Mery. We stayed in a family room which had more than enough room for three adults and all the shopping we got from Woodbury common. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels each day. We never encountered any issues with the lifts that other ppl seem to have had. The restaurant next door Rattle and Hum is a little expensive but come out of the hotel and make a right and head to 2 Bros pizza on the corner.....best pizza and only $1 a slice! Collapse

My friend and I decided to travel to NYC last minute for a concert at MSG. Less than 24 hours in advance we called to booked a room. Booking our one night stay was fairly quick, but afterward we were transferred to some "Holiday Inn Time Share" or action planner or something trying to sell us on another trip. We just were not interested, but couldn't get a word in. I was an extra 20-minutes on the phone that wasn't necessary. We drove down from Canada and were only in the Big Apple for 20 hours. Once we made to through the tunnel we called the hotel for directions on how to access the nearby parking garage. They gave us detailed turn-by-turn directions which were VERY appreciated since the Time Square area is extremely crowded and not auto-friendly. Within a few minutes we were parked and headed to check-in. The ICON parking garage is just around the corner from the hotel on 39th St and offers a special rate for hotel guests at $45 per day. Check-in only took a few minutes, the reception area is very small which makes for some crowding, but the staff moved people along and had good control over it. We used the business center on the lower level to print our tickets and got ready for the concert. The rooms were a standard size for NYC, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was only a 10 minute walk to MSG from the hotel and we were only two blocks from Time Square/Broadway. Check-out the next morning was a quick and easy. We walked to the High Line (about 10 minutes away) and grabbed breakfast at a nearby diner before leaving (there is no complimentary breakfast at this hotel, there is breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express across the street). I would recommend this Holiday Inn for people attending events in the area or for people who want to be engulfed by the lights and activity in Time Square. Collapse

We arrived at the Holiday Inn Times Square very early in the morning and stayed there till 1 p.m. Our flight from JFK to Europe was cancelled and we have been reprotected on new flight leaving 24 hours later, so that we received accomodation. We were very tired when we arrived at the Hotel, but everything at the check-in and during the stay was perfect, so we felt like at home and we had the chance to recover. The staff proved to be very nice and customer oriented. The room was fine, not very wide, but absolutely modern and comfortable, with a nice view and a good and functional bathroom. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel bar and the food quality was above the standard. Once again, even at the check out, the staff was great. Short stay, but very good impression. I may consider this Holiday Inn Hotel for future stays in NYC. Recommended. Collapse
