Just passing through. Thanks to being 4 hours late due to the Amtrak train. Having to sit 11 miles outside the city. Took uber to the hotel. We got in at 2am and had to leave by 6am. Check in was smooth and the lady was polite. When we were leaving we saw other guests getting food. They lady at the desk said we could go ahead and get the food. So part of my party got food. Then I went in to get my food. There was 1 nice older gentlemen. Then there was a guy with a bright colored apron. That was rude because I was getting food. Cause they have had homeless come in and get food before. Just because you are wearing blue jeans, a sweat jacket, and carrying 2 back packs. Cause you are traveling across country comfortable. Not carrying a heavy rolling bag and wearing your finest clothes. Doesn't mean your a bum. The room was clean and quite on the 15th floor. Collapse

The hotel property was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have onsite parking if you are driving in for your stay which many other hotels do not have. The rooms are large, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The only problem I had during my stay was street noise. Even on the 11th floor, the sirens and horns from ambulances, fire engines and police cars were very loud and happening constantly. Fortunately, it didnt keep us up at night although I was surprised it didnt. This hotel is located just outside of the French Quarter. Walking to the tourists locations such as Jackson square isn't a problem, but be aware that its about a mile and half walking distance. If a 3+ mile stroll isnt something you can do (or care to do) there are cabs as well as uber and lyft available. Be careful of what you say while in the bathroom! Sounds travel VERY well through the vent. I could here singing and conversations from other rooms so loud and clear that it was a little disconcerting. Collapse
Great hotel totally let down by local rooftop bar noise disturbance.

Was very impressed with our room, the hotels location and was really excited to have a place to relax after kids went to bed with a skyline view of downtown NOLA. Unfortunately the hotel across the way was blaring music until 1am! It was incredibly loud that it could be heard through ear plugs. If you are a night owl partying, not a problem, stay here on 17th floor. If you have a family with early starts....definately not. Collapse

We were in town for Mardi Gras, our first time. We chose to stay here due to the price of the room and the location. We went to the hotel right after our flight landed, and it was earlier than the check in time and was told our room wasn't ready. This was not a problem, we totally understood. But, we returned to the desk after getting map off the concierge desk for the gal to show us where we were to see the gal checking someone in and giving him his key- we were only away for 1-2 minutes, max. We didn't ask, but I imagine because of the look on my face, she immediately said she'd look to see if our room was ready, and it was. The room was as expected, a lovely king bed! So comfy. Our only problem with the room was the noise. Yes, there was a lot of street noise, but also noise from the elevator on the other side of our wall. They need to check this out because it sounded like a wind storm in our room each time it was used. The first night I think I got 2 hours of sleep. I laid in bed wondering what we did to deserve this room. Also, can I mention the rude loud people shouting in the hallway in the middle of the night? Please, people! I slept fairly well the next few nights, but I know it was because I was so exhausted from that first night. As mentioned, this was our first visit to New Orleans. After watching an evening parade Sunday night, we set out to find a place to eat, which was around 9:30-10:00. We (and groups of others) stopped in 3 establishments and they were all closed. My husband asked, "Who doesn't stay open during Mardi Gras?" These restaurants are missing an opportunity here. We ended up back in our hotel and asked at the desk where to eat. They gave us a menu for order-out pizza. It was over an hour before getting the pizza- in fact, they were so late my husband had to call to see where they were. There was another couple in the lobby waiting for theirs as well. The delivery rode up on a bike! No wonder our pizza was cold when we ate it. Our last night we ate in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. The two gals working in there were very friendly and sweet. We told them it was the best food we had our whole trip. The hotel is in an excellent location and easy to spot walking back from the activities with the large clarinet up the side. It was a short walk to the edge of the French Quarter. For some reason it took us until the last day to get our bearings. Many days we walked further than we had to. According to the map the streets look very straight and uniform, but when we got out there, it was really confusing. Collapse
