We had booked the stay on behalf of my company for 15 days and it was a truly wonderful experience every single day. The staff is very friendly and cordial. The atmosphere feels like home and will cherish the stay for a long time. I have stayed in different premier hotels many time, but here it feels like home. The restaurant provided a full feature service the food is excellent. Especially would like to mention the service provided Mr.Rakesh and Mr. Faisal. They keep your requirements in mind and i never had to repeat any requests. A truly amazing service and not a thing to complain about. Collapse

It is really really amazing when you get to taste such an elaborate menu with some outstanding dishes from South Indian Cuisine, which have been curated by Chef Prabhakaran specially Flown in from Dakshin, Chennai which is one of Iconic outlet to Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar. The Food Fest is on till the 17th of Dec`17 and some of the best dishes are being showcased from all the six regions of South and they are all mind blowing with traditional flavours and authentic to the core. Chef Prabhakaran explained us all the dishes in detail with the kind of spices and ingredients they use to get such distinct flavours and he has specially brought some along as they are not very easily available here. We were served Banana Dosa to start the meal on a sweet note, which is a tradition in South and it’s a small pan cake kind of Dosa made with a mix of four – five types of bananas and rice floor, and served with Tamarind and Pineapple chutneys and they tasted awesome. I had tasted them again as they tasted so different yet yummy from the regular what we get here. Never had such devilishly delicious prawns with awesome spices wrapped around and had quite a few, Meen pollichathu - Fresh catch fish marinated in hand pound masala and coated with pungent shallots masala with banana leaf wrapped was another must have starter. Vazhapoo vada is their staple Dal Vada with aroma of curry leaves and tastes crisp and nice. Appam with kai stew / Chicken stew are a must have too very very yummy and I love the coconut After a hot flavorful Chicken Clear soup we tasted the mains and believe me they were all so distinctly different in colour and tasted divine be in Veg or Non Veg gravies. kori rasa - is Chicken curry prepared from Mangaloren spices and had a nice aroma. Thanjavour meen kuzhambu - A Traditional Tamilnadu fish curry with shallots from Tanjore and Vennai mamsam koora - Mutton chunks simmered with coconut and white butter and tasted so perfect. All veg gravies were great too. Ended our sumptuous meal with Elaneer payasam a Chilled tender coconut delicacy and Ada pradhaman is another of the sweet delicacy with Jaggery and sweetened rice flakes. Thanks to Chef Prabhakaran, Suprabhat – Director F&B and Shikha for their nice company and courtesies extended to us. Food ……….. 4.5/5 Ambiance …….4/5 Service …………4/5 Dinner buffet @ Rs.1850 plus taxes from 6th December to 17th December Lunch buffet @ Rs 1400 plus taxes, weekdays from 7th December to 16th December Collapse

Café on 3 is on the 3rd floor of hotel Holiday Inn in Mayur Vihar. These days they have special South Indian food promotion. Dakshin restaurant is not just associated with ITC. In fact, it started 28 years back in Chennai park Sheraton which is now Crowne Plaza. Head chef, Prabhakaran has been called from there for this food festival Dakshin Dwar. Chef Prabhakaran, the head chef of the iconic Dakshin in Chennai, would like to invite you to a specially curated South Indian culinary journey at Cafe on 3, Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar Noida.Dakshin Dwar opens at Café on 3, after glorifying the culinary traditions of the six South Indian states for 25 years in the heart of Chennai. The best of the legendary flavours from the restaurant will be showcased at the Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar. The cuisine and concept of this food promotion are All South Indian states. Being a cafe, in the buffet, there is also regular stuff from North India but it is majorly South Indian states- 6 different cuisines. Kerala, Telangana, Andhra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and even Pondicherry. There are Chettinad specials also. There are 2 live counters- Dosa and Appam. Seeing someone do it is special. We started with banana dosa with 4 different signature chutneys-Pineapple, tamarind beetroot and spicy tomato. So there is fruit, vegetable and tamarind. The First thing served is the heaviest food to drowse hunger with heavy food. It is like offering to God. Then soup is served. Starters are served at the table and then you take the buffet. Different spices- including Chettinad spices were used- 18 spices different red chillies- byadaga chilli from Karnataka. Some food was prepared in gingelly oil which is very healthy sesame seed oil. Deserts were made of jaggery instead of sugar. Other oils used were peanut oil, coconut oil, etc. Pondicherry food is less spicy- lobsters in malai curry. Mix vegetable curry without spice and no chilli. They are mostly grilled. It was nice to get intricacies of food. Other things we tasted and tried was Fish Fries. Varappu vada- banana flour. Chana dal vada veg and non-veg. kothu paratha. Normally would not have this much variety of South Indian cuisine. So this food festival is something you must try. Each variety made with different masalas and had different flavours. The flavours were of pepper, ginger, coconut, etc. It was a balanced meal. Meen pollichathu Vazhapoo vada Lady fish fry Murungai rasam Kodi Uluvacharu Appam with pachakari stew stew Appam with kozhi stew Kothu paratha with veg Kothu paratha non veg salna KariveppilIai poondu kuzhambu Motchai masala Tomato pappu Puliotharai Vennai mamsam Kori rasa Lamb kheema choru Thanjavour meen kuzhambu In desserts were tried: Lychee payasam Ada pradhaman Badam halwa Each dish was finger licking good. I would highly recommend you to try this food festival. It is on only until 17 December. So rush. Do not miss it. Collapse
