I recently spent 4 nights here on the executive floor with a corner room. I usually avoid Holiday Inns and never expected to be recommending one, but this place is above average. My room was large and comfortable. The decor was modern and subdued. The desk and chair were adequate for work. Wifi was free and the electrical outlets were numerous enough and well placed. The bathroom was clean and modern. I like a room with a bathrobe, and an iron and ironing board, and here I could check off those boxes. The buffet breakfast was no better than OK. The conference facilities were excellent for a symposium for 100 people. The area around the hotel had lots of office workers during the day, and about a dozen restaurants to choose from. The better ones were extremely busy on weekend nights, but accessible during the week. A subway line was right nearby. So what's to complain about? The hotel taxi service. They arranged my airport pick-up and the driver was 45 mins late. They got 3 taxis for us for a group of 10 to go to a restaurant that was a 25-min walk away. One taxi broke down on the way, and the taxi I was unfortunate enough to be in never found the place and finally took us back to our hotel 2 hours later. The driver couldn't speak any English and was unable to follow translated directions. I would stay here again, but I would be very wary of their taxi service! Collapse

The hotel is located in a quiet District which is very close to the Belaruska Station with Brown and green line. it is 25 Mins away form the city center. The hotel has 100% English speaking staff at the reception and Diara, Olga were really help ful during our stay. The food is delicious and the service time is great. I would infidelity recommend this hotel. Collapse

This is my first visit Moscow and I looked alot of hotels and decided Holiday Inn Lesnaya.Firstly Hotel Location is good ,you can access the hotel from Belorusskaya and Mendeleevskaya Railway station which you want.To Access hotel from Belorusskaya there ara lot of exit and you need to exit from Tverskaya Church side.If you encounter kril language probem and exit main road side dont worry you go to straight and you will see main road. Please dont cross the main road there is a underpass and use it.When you pass main road go straight about 500m you will see Holiday inn Lesneya. Our checkin was very easy ,polite and hotel staff very helpful and fluent english speaking. If you need exchange currency there is mini kiosk inside hotel you can use it.Hotel Rooms is good ,big and cosy ,beds and pillows comfortable ,there is lcd tv ,minibar,ac.Room and bathroom also very clean and soundproof,Everyday housekeeping comes and clean the rooms. There is also gym but I did'nt use it.I was very appericiated.Hotel Breakfast option is excellent ,there are alot of variety and staff is very quick to refill meals and liquids. There are alot of tour groups and people sometime breakfast is very crowded but staff responded this situtation and open extra spaces there is no problem.,Hotel area also is excellent there are lots of restaurant like starbucks and russian chain tepemok you must try it If you want taste a local flavor.Hotel luggage facility is also very good when you check out you can use it ,there is seperate room and staff tag it.Everybody knows that Moscow is expensive city for accommodation ,its very hard to find good and budget hotel .Overall expectancy for me was very good.I can strongly recommend this hotel anyone who looking good medium level. If I ever make it to Moscow again, I will be sure to book in time so I can spend my entire stay in Holiday Inn Lesnaya. Let's start with the bad news: this is a truly hideous hotel. They must have picked the same designer for the restaurant and the bathrooms, because both are equally tasteless. But hey: as long as you keep your eyes shut, why bother? Other areas of improvement: the chair at the desk hurts my back even if I only look at it, the bathroom features a silly bath tub (I'd rather have a decent shower), the in-room safety deposit box is large enough but portable and will easily fit in a shopping bag, the usual channels such as Discovery are missing on the TV set, the bed is just too hard and the walls are quite thin, so let's just hope that your neighbors keep quiet. So is it time to demolish this hotel? Nope, in fact, next time, I will choose it again because it's affordable, close to the Belorussky railway station (a 10-minute walk, and 37 minutes later you'll be at the airport), has good complimentary Internet access and a friendly staff that masters the English language very well. For your meals, there's no need to go outside because both dinner and breakfast are quite good, and again reasonably priced. So there you are: if you live with its limitations, go for it! Collapse

The hotel rooms were adequate. The dining area cramped. The administration staff pleasant and helpful. The doorman - well he just grunted. The welcome drinks supplied for the tour company were cheap and warm, whether it was beer, wine or soft drink. The welcome dinner they provided was the worse meal I have ever been presented. It looked like a mishmash of leftovers from the staff fridge and not a local 'Russian' element to it. Everyone felt the same. Collapse
