Always a great hotel no matter where we travel. Hotel was older, but clean and very nice. Cleaning ladies were awesome, front desk very helpful. It's very close to Old Montreal so we could walk every where.

I just got back home from a 3 week vacation from Ontario and Quebec. I stayed in many Hotels and Motels, but my stay at your Hotel Holiday Inn was the highlight of my vacation. Your hospitality and the staff are so kind, caring and passionate about their work. I lost my cellphone in the Hotel and the front desk retrieved and returned to me which I dearly grateful. I would like to give special thanks to Dominic Cavalluzzi, Bodan and Simon. I hope to stay with you again next year and I highly recommend your Hotel to my friends when they visit Montreal. Thank you again, Francis Daly Collapse

Large clean rooms with everything you need. The lobby is really pretty and decorated to represent the Chinatown location. The metro station is opposite which we used to travel very easily to all the tourist spots. Within walking distance to the old town and old Port. The swimming pool and hot tub are clean with towels to use and a changing room and staff in the hotel friendly and happy to help with directions when needed! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family visiting Montreal. Collapse

Factors that made me consider this hotel were location and points as I stay in Holiday Inn Express periodically for business. What made me actually CHOOSE this hotel is that I loved the Pagoda in the pictures, the walkway and the fish pond. When we arrived after a long trip, upon looking at the outside of the building (there was so much construction) I thought...perhaps I made a mistake. Upon entering the hotel, my fears were put to rest. The lobby was gorgeous with beautiful Chinese artifacts and comfortable couches. There was one man at the front desk upon check in and he was just delightful. I was traveling with my mother for leisure and we stayed at the hotel for four nights. Breakfast was included with our hotel rate and it was a deluxe buffet at the hotel restaurant, Chez Chine. The food was arranged beautifully - plenty of options. Each morning, we were always greeted by the manager of the restaurant whose warm smile made us feel so welcome. Sometimes he escorted us to our table where we were immediately offered coffee. The waiters gave tremendous service. They were efficient and very friendly. We were lucky enough to always sit under the pagoda - sometimes at the same table - where we could watch the fish swim in the streams while we ate. It was magical. We felt very special under there. Children love looking at the fish and it's fun to experience life through a child's perspective, but I would suggest that the hotel enforce some strong guidelines because there was one older kid who kept standing on one of the rocks and putting his shoe on top of the water. His parents were no where in sight and I was worried about the fish being harmed. I finally let the manager know and as he went over there, the kid suddenly had run away somewhere. Another rule that I would offer is that children should not run in those walkways - one slip and a dangerous accident could occur. I was shocked that parents would let their children behave this way. All children should be supervised. We ended up eating in the Chez Chine for other meals frequently and it was awesome! On our first day there, we actually ordered two Caesar salads to go because we had left overs from a restaurant in town that we went to the prior evening and wanted to add a salad to them. The salads were great and the manager was the one that took care of us for that order. On Saturday evening, it was rainy and my mother and I had been out all day so she wanted to eat dinner in the hotel. We got to sit under the pagoda again and we tried their Chinese food. I had stir fried vegetables and she had stir fried chicken. We also ordered fried rice and it was the healthiest fried rice I have ever had (which is a good thing for me) I am a vegetarian so they made our spring rolls vegetarian. I would suggest them. They were perfectly crispy on the outside. Their menu offers various meals from different Asian countries, but my mother and I stuck to the a la carte items. It was a great evening with delicious food. On Sunday evening, after walking all day, my mother wanted to stay in the hotel and grab dinner. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings, so you eat dinner in their Lotus Bar. We split a pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was fabulous! The bartender who took care of us was nice and we got our food very quickly. I'd say much of our experience at the hotel was at the Chez Chine and it was such a personalized experience. The manager and the wait staff all knew us and it became like a local joint for us. Housekeeping always greeted us with a friendly smile and our room was always cleaned spotlessly and replenished with fresh towels and amenities. The day we checked out, the front desk stored our luggage as our flight wasn't until much later. One staff member even fixed my luggage which always had trouble standing. They were friendly and helpful. My mother and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. That Pagoda and the fish swimming in the stream is something that I will never forget!! Collapse
