We were on a tour so only a two night stay for us. Busy hotel. Rooms were of a good size with a huge bathroom. Comfortable beds and apart from some traffic noise a quiet stay. Plentiful supply of towels and toiletries. Hairdryer and coffee machine (not my preferred location being situated in the bathroom!) Iron but no in room safe? Please put one in the rooms. We had a great view of Palais des congres de Montreal. We did not eat in the restaurant but had room service. Ordering was laborious due to the telephone not being answered. Eventually connected via the operator. Perhaps due to my English accent it was a fun time trying to explain what we wanted but we got there eventually. The room menu description did not seem match the description in the kitchens interestingly. Food arrived reasonably promptly and tasted quite good. However it was lukewarm on arrival and soon became cold. I was later contacted for immediate payment as I had not registered a credit card due to being on a tour. It was a shame to have been troubled again for this as I would have settled my account in the morning. Perhaps the payment machine should accompany the server when the food is delivered? Great supermarket and underground shopping complex nearby. Easy access to Chinatown and old quarter would have liked more time to explore. I would recommend to friends and family no hesitation. First night, the restaurant and bar was closed to hotel guests as there was a beauty pageant in it. On our second night, the restaurant was closed for no apparent reason. We were given a bar food menu at the bar but when we tried to order from it, we were told we would have to wait an hour for pizza. We didn't bother. Whilst we finished our extortionate drinks (nearly $18 for a beer and a wine), 3 more of my fellow passengers arrived, 2 of which were visibly disabled. The lady picked up our discarded menu and it was snatched from her by the barmaid with a brusque 'NON'. The lady had to go out to the supermarket to buy her family food. Whilst they waited, the bar staff completely ignored the frail elderly gentleman and his autistic middle aged son, despite him sitting at the bar clutching a $20 dollar note. We had to intervene and order for him when it was clear that they weren't going to serve him. We ordered 3 teas. A jug of hot water and 3 tea bags was bought (or rather plonked down) - no milk or sugar and no help with pouring offered despite the fact they would clearly have struggled. We were just going over to offer to help when the gentleman's wife returned and sent the untouched tray back, and the family left. After repeatedly failing to get the bar staff's attention to get our bill, we thought we'd try walking out - and miraculously they were suddenly attentive. We reported both incidents to the Duty Manager, who was very apologetic but said that they'd only rota'd one chef that evening as they didn't expect much demand for meals that night - (despite a coachload of 43 being booked in, and the heavy rain made going out a less attractive option. She then offered us the same menu for room service - which we refused as it would still take an hour for a pizza, and bedrooms aren't for eating in! In our room, the safe didn't work and the windows were not sealed so the noise was such that we could have been sleeping on the pavement. The staff clearly need training in treating people with disabilities with respect and extra attentiveness to their needs. The bar staff's treatment of our friends was shocking and upset me greatly. There are many other hotels in Montreal - and close to this central location. If you are travelling there, I strongly recommend you go to one of them. And in case you are wondering, this is the first negative report I have ever posted - I've posted plenty of positive ones. Collapse

The room was of a good size, clean and comfortable, but lacked a fridge and a safe. The shower was pretty useless due to the lack of water pressure. We didn't enjoy our meal in the restaurant as we found the service slow and the menu limited. The water feature was very attractive but was chilly when seated next to it. The bar offered a very limited choice of drinks and no snacks or food. A helpful member of staff eventually found us a bag of crisps. The rest of the staff were not particularly welcoming. The location was very central and made up for the hotel's limitations. Collapse

Though most of the other services were Fair, the front desk man whose name starts with "Ch..." was extremely bad. He has not Hotel PR skills at all. 1.I asked him to put my stay to add to my IHG reward programme number he gave me wi fi details asked to go and find the reward number and come back. 2. I called to say I am sick I will check out in another 30 minutes , he said everyone wants to come early and go late, pretty much saying get out now . 3. Very difficult to find the entrance for any new guests. 4. But will not take the credit out on every other service provided by every other person. Collapse

Enjoyed a couple of nights at this hotel. The location was good for exploring Montreal. There was also a Metro station opposite where the staff were extremely good in giving guidance on how to get to places. Our room was a reasonable size and clean. The electricity wiring in the room however was crazy. If one switched off the light at the entrance to the room, it isolated all the electricity (lights and power) in the room When going to the bathroom in the night, it was either go in the dark or risk switching on the light by the room entry door and waking up my wife There were a few issues with the free wifi, however a very helpful lady on reception sorted it out. The same lady was also good for directions to places of interest. Did not eat in the hotel as there are many restaurants close by. Would stay at this hotel again if in Montreal Collapse
