Couldn't fault our stay at this hotel. The reception staff were helpful, room spotless, and the restaurant was lovely. The food was gorgeous & cooked perfectly both for dinner and at breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We booked up this Hotel for 2 nights as we're we're going to see Robbie Williams at The Etihad Stadium, which is about a 20 / 25 minute walk. This Hotel has its own on site Car Park. We have stayed in quite a few Holiday inns and Holiday inn express' and this one is The Best one up to now out of all of them. The reception Staff were all friendly, polite, Helpful and went the extra mile for us and other guests that we spoke to. It's the first time that we had a Room up Grade too, thank you for that. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy. With all the usual mod cons at HIE Hotel but with a few treats in the room for us too. Free wifi and the signal was good. All the The food was very good. A very good Hearty Breakfast to send you on your way. We had 2 great nights sleep with no noise. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone and would gladly stay here again if we ever return to that area of Manchester. Collapse
Staff here are excellent. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Manchester.

I visited with my daughter on 20th May for 2 nights, as we were attending the fateful Ariana Grande concert on 22nd May. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly professionalism by Kamil. He was so helpful in giving us information about the city, attractions and transport links. Before we went out he made sure we had contact numbers for the hotel and a reputable taxi firm in case of emergency. He also gave us free late check out and drinks vouchers. We had breakfast in the hotel which offers a good choice of cereals, pastries, fruit and cooked breakfast, as well as tea, coffee and juice. All very delicious. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Staying with a 12 year old, we were back in our room by 8.30pm because she was tired, but the room was comfortable with a television and I was more than happy to spend time in there whilst she was sleeping. Kamil allowed us to leave our car in the hotel car park after check out so we could attend the concert at the arena that evening, which was two tram stops away. This saved us the hassle of finding parking in the centre. Sadly we were caught up in the blast as we left the concert and ended up in hospital until 3.30 in the morning. Once discharged we returned to the hotel and we were immediately shown to a room. The hotel manager Jo was fantastic and offered us the room for free as long as we needed it. We did leave early the next day though as we needed to get back to Bristol for further hospital treatment. Jo made sure we had breakfast first and packed us drinks and snacks for the journey home. All of the staff were clearly devastated by the events the previous night and were so compassionate to us. When we returned home I had a voicemail from Jo checking we had gotten home ok. We returned to Manchester on 04th June for the One Love concert and went straight to the hotel to thank our friends, because they are friends now. They were so pleased to see us and put us up in the executive suite for the night. They couldn't do enough for us. I am indebted to these people for everything they have done for us. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Manchester and if you are looking for a hotel that goes the extra mile and really looks after you, you won't find anywhere better than this Holiday Inn. Collapse

Stayed here for one night on business. On approach it looked promising - modern with free parking. It's not too far out of the city centre ( about a 5-10 minute drive the next day). Check-in was friendly, although they failed to process my loyalty points. The room was a bit disappointing. There appeared to be air conditioning but I struggled to get the room to a comfortable temperature during a stuffy night. The room was tired with a lot of marks on the wall and on work surface, which didn't appear to have been cleaned properly as there were some glasses rings and food debris. The WiFi was okay. Power sockets in short supply. The bed was okay. The shower was an over bath model and the temperature came and went. The bathroom had a very 1970s feel. I had dinner in the bar - a limited menu but friendly service and the food was fine. Breakfast had a good selection, again with friendly service. I'd stay here again based on location, price and free parking. Collapse

Lovely friendly staff. We had one night here. It was a nice room, however it was really hot and stuffy. I didn't get any sleep. The air con didn't work, I did open the little window but it didn't let much air in and it is next to the road so we had traffic noise. It is quite close to the centre, we took an uber into the centre and it only cost £4.31 where as the tram would have cost £5/£6.... The water in the bathroom was RED HOT. So careful if you stay here. Other than that we had a good stay. Collapse
