We entered the restaurant and ordered food and drinks 10 minutes later. After waiting 25 minutes for drinks we asked the waiter for the drinks and were further ignored for another 10 minutes. Although served in pint and half pint marked glasses the larger had a massive froth on top and the shandy was well below the level. We had to ask twice again for the food which finally arrived 1 hour after ordering. We had both ordered the cajun sizzling platter having observed it on the next table. The skinny fries appeared as a large portion in a tower basket. When ours finally arrived 10 minutes after speaking to the manager there was a much smaller portion of skinny fries on the plate. When tasted these were cold and indifferent. We pointed this out to the manager who sent out a portion of chunky chips at least these were hot. In fairness to the duty manager we were informed there would not be a charge. The waiter again then asked us for our room numbers, this was now the third time. When we questioned this third request the waiter said he would ask but although passing our table several times did not answer our question. We did give the manager some constructive feedback on the standard and attitude of the restaurant staff. If the food had been as the next table we would not have had cause to complain. Collapse

After a mix up on check in our one night stay was good . They didn't have our reservation which we booked through holiday extras with parking included but it was sorted eventually. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant served by equally lovely staff. Quality of the food was 1st class and the ambiance in the restaurant was good . Quite a few diners in so it seems popular. Bit on the heavy side price wise but for what you get it was worth it. Nice wine as well to wash it down . Would choose this hotel again when in Luton. We paid £72 for a nights stay with 6 nights parking included so a bargain on that score Collapse
Will try to avoid this hotel in the future

I travel a lot, have been in many hotels but the experience staying in this hotel has been the most disappointed ever. I booked an executive double room hoping to get a bigger room and a better service. But looks like paying more it doesn't really mean you get more. The room was the smalest I have ever had and besides there was a connection door to another room. When I booked a room there was any comment about connection door. I called to reception from my room asking if they can give me a different room but I was told the hotel is fully booked and the only one option is to get a disable room. Excuse me!!! I decided to check availability on booking.com and was surprised finding out that still plenty of rooms are available. So it meens the lady from reception was lieing to me. To be honest, that day was a nightmare in that hotel. When I was checking in they wanted to have my payment card details in case I want to order the food to my room. I said I don't want to give my card details and happy to pay for the food when I will be checking out. She replied - OK, no problem. But when I ordered the food the lady on the phone from the kitchen tried to explain they can't take my order if I haven't authorised my payment card at reception. I told her what I was told at the reception. Still she said NO and even was not polite anymore. Then I'm not sure what happend but basically in 5 seconds she changed her mind and didn't mind to take my order anymore... I spent approx. 10 minutes on the phone until they accepted my order. It was a really short stay at this hotel. I was hoping for a relaxing experience before my early flight on the next day... but after all this I felt so tired and exhausted... I just wanted to go back home... Checking out... as slow as possible... There is so much to improve in this hotel! The receptionist asked me if I need a receipt for the food I ordered to my room. I said NO but I don't know why she spent extra 5 minutes for printing off this receipt. Then she asked how I want to pay - in cash or by card. Just because I was sure it will be quicker to pay in cash I said in cash... It was something... She could not find the right key to open the till... then she didn't have a change... In my opinion, if she new she doesn't have enough coins to give me a change she just could advise me without hesitation that she would prefer if I pay by card. So on checking out I spent extra 15 minutes standing by reception. I don't really know why all this happened to me but this experience was really bad staying at this hotel. I usually tend to leave a good feedback about the hotel I stay in as I appreciate all the hard work people do but not this time. Although it was one week ago I still can't accept my experience at this hotel. Collapse
