We decided to stay the night before jetting off to Milan very early the following morning. Having driven & parked we discovered we couldn't leave the car there for the 2 nights as I had believed we could!!!! We were gutted!!! Not least because we were really tired by then. It meant we had to leave even earlier to park the car in the long stay car park. From the time it took to get to our room , Tich had decided we could leave the car there & rang us to let us know. It meant we could relax for a little longer!! Collapse

We stayed here 2 days ago when we came back from a two week holiday to India. We normally drive back to Bristol from Heathrow but this time the flight had been delayed for five hours due to a technical snag. We were therefore quite exhausted when we arrived at Heathrow - combination of jet lag and 17 hours in airport and flight. Fortunately I had prebooked this hotel juts for such an eventuality. The hotel is about 3 miles from purple parking (where I had parked my car) in a little village called Colnbrook which we fund easily with satnav. There is a barrier operated underground car park and the charge is £10 per night. It is a very neat and cosy hotel. The rooms were not large but were well furnished and plush. There was quite a decent restaurant which provided room service and good vegetarian options. We were exhausted from our journey - ordered room service which arrived in 20 mins and was quite good. The bed and air conditioning were very comfortable enabling us to have 9 hrs of uniterruped sleep. We were even able to have a very early (5.30 AM!) mini breakfast (toast, yoghurt and coffee) before setting off to Bristol. Of particular mention - the staff in the hotel were very friendly warm and helpful. Maung Du and Tich at the Reception desk recieved us warmly and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. They came to our room to show us how to adjust the air conditioning and operate the kettle (there was an interesting mechanism whereby the top of the cabinet had to be opened to activate the switch). Overall a very comfortable and relaxing stay - with the deisred outcome i.e. getting a good nights rest with food at a decent price. Collapse

Recently stayed for one night during a stopover from New Zealand and the hotel is good. Was checked in by the night manager don't know his name but is a credit to the company, he was very professional and knowledgeable told me exactly were my room was and the facilities of the hotel. Ordered room service club sandwich and eaton mess, service was quick and delicious. Only downside was I had to move the armchair to access the kettle and no biscuits but apart from that great stay and will return in the future. Collapse

The staff is excellent. Kevin at the front desk was most helpful on several occasions when I needed things and Dorota was always a pleasure to do business with and took care of me when I had laryngitis. I don't usually stay at American hotels when I travel in Europe but I wanted someplace that had exercise facilities and I needed consistent sleep since I was in London for a 3 day conference. The rooms are modern and comfortable. I slept well (after I asked for an extra blanket - I don't like the hot air blowing on me). They have tea/coffeee making facilities in the room. The planes go right over the hotel but the sound-proofing is so good that I saw the plane in the mirror before I heard it. The salmon I had for dinner one night was quite good for bar food. The breakfast is ok - it is a nice spread so you can find what you need but the quality of the hot food wasn't great. But that's compared to the exceptional breakfasts you get at B&Bs. The wifi was excellent. But since my conference ended up being at the hotel, I had the wifi for the conference. I think you have to pay extra for good wifi. You need a separate key card for the exercise room so don't confuse it with your room card. And one time it didn't work, so leave extra time to exchange keys if necessary. The bus from the airport is fairly convenient (seemed to wait a while at the airport) but is 5 GBP - cash only - each way. Collapse

I needed to stay at Heathrow before an early flight out. I was attracted to this hotel by the glowing customer service comments in reviews and I am really pleased to say that the hotel and its staff lived up to them. The service is exceptional for this level of hotel - I'd say it's five star service in a three star hotel. For example the wake up calls are not automated, a real live human calls you and talks to you to make sure you're awake. Not only that but if they can't get you to answer the phone, then they will come and knock on your door. When I asked the Reception team why they went to so much trouble they said it was because it was so important to make sure guests don't miss their flight. The hotel looks like it has been recently refurbished and is bright, clean and cheerful. Despite being right under the flightpath it is totally quiet in the rooms. Collapse
