Extremely attentive, friendly staff. Bedroom very clean, comfy bed with everything that could be needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was superb with a huge selection for both English and continental. Great location as literally on the A2 into central London although this does not affect stay in anyway. Thank you everyone! We will be back! Collapse

Road noise no problem even thought very close to A2. Good breakfast choices and loved the pancake machine! Collapse

We have stayed many times in Holiday Inn hotels, and l was once a platinum card frequent stayer. Firstly the rooms are fine and the standard you would expect. What lets Bexley down is the poor standard of service in the restaurant. There are enough staff but they spent too much time walking to and fro or 'helping' each other on the computer. The menu is fast food style which seemed to suit the large party of gas fitters who were staying but was expensive for what it was, £45 for two main courses and two glasses of house wine. Insult was to find that a 10% service charge had been added to the bill at check out. Collapse

Error with reservation not resolved despite endless calls to central reservations, guest relations, the hotel direct and emails with the manager - "computer says can only...." - no personal service or common sense intervention. Minimal toiletries, tea/coffee etc in room and gave up trying to get through to someone to provide more. Bedside light broken and when did manage to get through was told that no-one available to fix it - so left with just glare of central lights. Noisy / drunks in corridor at 2 am. Food packaging and waste on floor of reception seating area when checked in - a mess. Staff friendly but rather robotic; rooms clean and decor OK; wifi OK. But won't return due to lack of personalisation of service - they can't see beyond the computer and deliver a personal response to customer needs. Collapse

I had my 40th birthday party at this hotel in October 2016. I had a party here before and was very pleased thats why i came back. Becky was the Lady who helped me put the party together, and all i can say is that she did a very good job and was pleased with how she helped me put this event together, excellent party planner. However, the food was not according to order, for example we ordered bbq ribs and we got spicy hot chilly ribs, people could not eat them. The chef tried his best to rectify the issue and the party went on. The staff on that night were all fantastic. However next few days after the party i received an email from Erica who is one of the managers at the hotel accusing me and my children of making noise and disturbing other guests at the hotel after the party. I rang her to find out what she was on about. She then apologised and said that it was another guest she was meant to write to. She then offered us a complimentary stay at the hotel, because of the food issue and false accusations. I accepted. Now the nightmare started when it came to booking this "complementary stay" ,I told Erica that i wanted to confirm the date so that i can arrange off days at work. She would promise to call or send me an email but never did. Weeks went by. In the end i wrote to Sumit hoping that he would just confirm my booking and let me get on with my life. It turned out to be the Worse mistake of my life, he was very rude on the phone, he would not even let me speak. He accused me of lying that i had spoken to Erica so many times regarding the booking. He asked for proof that i had spoken to Erica because according to him Erica was off sick. I had to take pictures from my telephone history and sent to his email. He then brought up the issue that "I" was making noise in the hotel disturbing guests. I told him that i had proof that Erica acknowledged that she was blaming the wrong guest hence the complementary stay. I have never experienced such. I was left in tears. Eventually the booking was made, but what an experience It was such a shame because i had enjoyed my party. Yes the chef made mistakes but he did his best to sort it out. All the other staff were excellent. I always enjoyed my stay at the holiday inn as a regular customer. Collapse
