Lovely suburban Hotel surrounded by countryside, the staff on reception are professional, attentive, curtious and friendly. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. Their are 4 Disabled Parking Bays directly in front of the main entrance. Some rooms located on the Ground & 1st floor have balconys overlooking the hills. The gym staff are very informative and welcoming. The rooms are scrupilously clean and the ambiance of the hotel is peaceful and tranquil. With all positives occasionally come negatives and in this case its o exception. The young male waiting on staff in the Resturant at breakfast times are unproactive, pay no attention to detail, congregate in a corner behind screens wispering and just generally talking. The Resturant lacks leadership, many occasions over the weekend their was no bread, no plates, dirty tables, they don't even attend to you when you walk in, don't offer you tea or coffee it's like sit yourself down and fend for yourself. One big critique I have is people parking their vehicles in the disabled bays without having a blue badge and the staff do nothing about it. As as disabled man this is very worrying. I noticed nobody displayed badges apart from myself. I was fortunate to be able to have found a bay but throughout the weekend many cars came and went with no badge. In conclusion I would rate the Hotel 6 out 10 on an average rating simply because the Resturant Staff failed to be pro-active. I would suggest not taking students on over the summer and offer staff instead who are dedicated to work in the hospitality industry. I would return as the Hotel itself is fantastic. One final point, I am a Platinum member of the IHG group and was offered an upgrade but declined it as the balcony rooms are better. Maybe putting Executives rooms in front and use the balconys would be an option. Collapse

Spent 3 (9 to 12 June) nights (Friday to Monday) as attending a wedding. As you expect of a Holiday Inn – clean, modern, roomy and bland. It has only two levels, so a very linear hotel. No lift from ground to first (least I did not find it.) Restaurant had (like any HI) a ‘narrow’ evening menu. Breakfast was typical buffet. There was gym, pool and sauna – but did not use any of them. Overall Holiday Inns are consistent – you can go into anyone and more or less you will know exactly what you will get. They are consistently bland but efficient and inexpensive. Very convenient for M62, Halifax and south Bradford. And was not too far for us to day-trip up to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. And of course Haworth (for Brontë Parsonage Museum). Collapse
