I really like this property for its convenience to the strip, national parks and family friendly accommodations. BUT it has deteriorated. The pool by building 15 was in unhealthy condition with black mold at the bottom of the steps. The pool surface and tiles were in terrible condition. Although my room was clean, the tub was broken and could not be used. The reception area staff were very rude and kept people waiting in line for a long time. They kept apologizing for my wait but the manager came out looked around and went back into an office area. I must say the male concierge was excellent. Very helpful and reliable advice. I have stayed here two other times but am worried it is in decline. Collapse

We deliberated heavily on a hotel room on the strip or to get something a little bigger as close to the strip as possible. We had been on the road as a family for almost 4 weeks & the thought of another hotel room, albeit Vegas, was not appealing. We wanted two bedrooms so our two teenage girls and my wife & I could have some space . With trepidation and through our IHG membership, I booked a two bedroom apartment at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations, (off Koval Lane). The resort is only one block back from the strip and our room had a beautiful view of the high roller only a few 100 yards away. The resort itself was large, the main pool at the main block as you come in to the resort was empty with renovations going on which was unfortunate, but it was too cold to swim anyhow so no issue for us.There are several pools around the resort if you wanted to swim! The apartment itself was lovely but came with some teething issues after a recent renovation. Small things like toilet not flushing, bath plug not keeping water in, been locked out due to faulty entry lock but having said all that the maintenance crew were great and quickly fixed all. It as clean with all the facilities one would expect from a resort style apartment - we were very happy with the apartment and didn't get sucked in to any Timeshare sales incentives of free passes ect...! Been there, got the shirt after two hours of hard sell so bypassed that! My youngest daughter used the Gym every day which was great. The only down side was, because the Resort is so big, it was a long walk to the Gym from our room - especially at night, so I walked my daughter to the gym and collected her rather than have her walk around the resort alone at night. We felt safe but I preferred to do that. Location was perfect for us and we could easily walk to the strip in 15 minutes or there is a regular free shuttle ( dedicated times) from the resort if you don't want to walk. A cab ride from the strip after a night out was about USD $7.We had a car so visiting the factory outlet shops was a highlight for our teenage girls. Vegas is great, and although it was cold in January, we had a lovely time and it provided us an awesome platform to visit Tusayan and the beautiful South Rim of the Grand Canyon which is around a four & half hour drive from Vegas. I wanted to give this place a three because I found the staff on the grounds and at reception were not as hospitable as I have seen at other hotels we have stayed. Secondly, our room had a damp carpet, small stain on the bed, and dust on the blow dryer (very obvious it was not wiled down in a while) and visible dust under the living room table. The decor was good, space for two was excellent. Washer and dryer on the balcony was excellent and bed was comfy. The food in the restaurant was good. Fitness room has top of the line work out equipment. Location is fantastic if you can add a half block to your night out, which is nothing if you spend the day walking the strip. I would stay here again because of the location Collapse

The resort facilities were fine however the staff was misserably rude and argumentative. We already purchased and were offered some kind of owners update and promised tickets to a show at a discounted rate. We came back when we were told that a manager would be in and she was not there. When we found out that we had come back from breakfast for no reason and there was no one there to help us we were frustrated and received a smart ... comment from one of the greeters on the floor when we voiced our frustration (Katherine). We then called some manager in the gifting department (Mary or Maryanne) and was told that she would call me back when she investigated further and never did. We were signed up for the update but when the manager called back and argued with me I said I would decide in the morning weather I would attend or not she started arguing and then I hung up because I didn't want to get more upset then she was already making me I told her I was done (done arguing with her) the argument started when I told her I wanted to sleep on the decision to go to the meeting in the morning...so when we woke up we decided that we would attend the meeting and she had cancelled. My husband who was less emotional after all the crap over the weekend went to speak to the manager of the vacation station (Erika) who runs this part of the facility and she again started arguing with him. I am the hot headed one of the two of us as I believe in treating the customer as you would want to be treated and we had been treated poorly all weekend I was so upset at this point he knew I would get upset but when he came back from speaking with her he felt that it was a worthless conversation as she intended to blame us for everything that had occured the entire weekend. (NOT GOOD, YOU DON'T BLAME YOUR CUSTOMER AND YOU CERTAINLY DON'T ARGUE WITH THEM EVRYTIME YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH) Collapse

Stayed here last year april 2016. This was under my spouse rci timeshare and our 1st time staying here and i was very surprised at how nice the rooms and overall resort was. We had a 1bedroom full kitchen and living room with washer and dryer out on the balcony in a secret compartment on the 1st floor. Everything was set up beautifully open and spacious. The only thing i would change would be the bathroom...although our villa was equipped for 4 however there was no door to the bathroom. Although it was only us 2, what if we had others with us? Thats about the only thing i would change... there were plenty of silverware, glasses, plates etc. the store was located in the main house in the basement where you could buy eggs, bacon, juice, milk, etc that was very convenient. We explored the game room which we did have fun but wished it had more games. The restaurant on site was a plus as the food was great no complaints there and happy hour . We didnt get an opportunity to go into the pools or grill outside due to my significant other having a medical emergency therefore causing him to be hospitalized. Other than that, we loved our living accomodations and look forward to revisiting this establishment this year. The free jitney buses run frequently to certain hotels on the strip as well as freemont street so youre never too far from the strip. If you feel like walking when the weather isnt too scorching, you can even walk to the strip on your own. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to go to vegas. The rooms were all updated as we were told and we seen some rooms being renovated. Collapse
