Lovely, clean immaculate hotel, situated right on the racecourse. All staff very good and efficient, nothing too much trouble. Hotel location out of Brampton village needed a taxi to restaurant The Black Bull, food was good, but felt the pub itself was not clean and had a horrible wet dog smell, which put me off. Wished we had stayed in hotel for Valentines a Meal, as menu looks very nice. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Would return in the summer as lovely seating areas and views outside. Collapse

Wife and I spent two nights at this hotel. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable, and the disabled bathroom A1 for a disabled user. The big BUT was the food in the bar/restaurant area. The selection was heavy on the pub style food and very little of appeal to a coeliac, but it was ALL overcooked. A burger that was as dry as a bone and shrunken through over grilling, served in a stale bun with a measly slice of tomato. Lamb kebabs that were hard, tasteless, and looking like something a dog had left behind. Buffet breakfast that I usually enjoy, had fried eggs that were like rubber. If this is the new standard for Holiday Inns I shall avoid them in future. I've used their hotels for forty odd years and have never had such a rotten food experience before. I did get a £15 rebate on check out but I would have preferred well prepared food. Collapse

Stayed for a night on business. Lobby and lounge/bar is a large open plan space and nicely laid out except for the restaurant which is a bit bare and soulless. Check in was efficient and courteous. The problems start if you want to use email for anything more than email. The wifi requires a lengthy log in process and speed was barely 1.5mps which was not enough for me to make the Skype conference call my boss was expecting in the States. After querying this with reception I was given a different "premium" log in code but I couldn't then get the log in page back up on my device so this was still no good. Anyone wanting to watch movies on their Netflix or Amazon Prime account would have had the same problem. I've had similar issues at other Holiday Inn's - the brand seems to be constantly behind the curve on wifi service expecting people to accept a very slow speed or pay extra for high speed. This is no doubt to discourage guests from using streaming services so that they pay extra for Holiday Inns movie channels. Wake up Holiday Inn, the world has moved on. Your approach is 10 years out of date. Guests at any half decent hotel now expect free high speed wifi, period. My only other comment relates to the food. My squid starter was rubbery and served on an unimaginative bed of lettuce leaves. Main course Chicken Kiev was more like one massive chicken nugget with little evidence of any garlic and served with yet more lettuce leaves. The accompanying sauté potatoes were like thick soggy grease soaked crisps- not nice, not nice at all. Holiday Inn will be my choice of last resort when traveling on business in future. If you're coming to Huntingdon the Old Bridge Hotel on the one way system is far better for similar money. Collapse

Stayed here for a night whilst in between London and Peterborough for an event. We stayed in an executive suite which looked onto the racecourse which was nice. Room was ample size with all the mod cons that you would expect! The bed was large and very comfortable! Pillows were amazing! Safe to say I had a great night sleep. The lady on reception was really nice and polite! She even remembered what I was staying for and asked me how the event went! Excellent service from her. Will definitely be staying here again. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat here however from what we saw it looked nice! Also noticed a Starbucks onsite wish I saw that before check out! Will remember for next time! Collapse

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with my mum, although it was only for one night, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and were happy to help whenever I asked. The room was very clean and tidy and well stocked with tea and coffee facilities! The beds were very comfortable and you can sleep easy being able to alter the temperature of the air conditioning in the room. The food both at the evening meal and breakfast was amazing! I cannot fault this hotel at all, I would greatly recommend staying here! I would stay here again if I was ever required to visit Cambridgeshire/Huntington again, and on another plus note... the high street is only a short drive away, if you want/need to venture out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Collapse
