Whilst this hotel was cheap at the time compared to many in the area, Holiday Inn hotels are generally much cheaper and in my experience better. When we checked in we were told we had to pay a deposit on top of the room fees, for which we were not previously advised of at time of booking. There was a howling coming from the ventilation system all night, the shower was dirty and water stained. Poor patch up jobs has been made to the walls inside the room. The mattress literally had lumps all over it and the chair in the room had stains all over. The walls are extremely thin, while the interconnecting doors also let a lot of sound through. We spent the night listening to a TV turned up full, struggling to get any sleep. On to breakfast.... this was actually ok, there were fresh pastries, coffee, cereal, all the usual stuff. Most of which wasn't bad, if not just mass produced. The fruit juice was watery and did not taste great and all the cooked items had definitely been hanging around for a while. The complaints with the room and noise were fed back to reception but still nothing was done. Other than all the above, every member of staff we encountered were happy, welcoming and apologetic. We arrived at 11am and were allowed in our room even though check in was 2:30pm. Parking was £12 per night. Not too many parking spaces,best to get there early. Rooms were nice and clean and spacious. Bathroom was really nice with large shower. We were on the 3rd floor and even though planes flew overhead,it was quite quiet. Breakfast was help yourself with a varied choice. Staff were very helpful. It was a 10 minute walk to town centre. On street parking nearby was challenging!!! Collapse

The hotel is well located, easy to drive to and within 10 minutes walk of the centre of town. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was complimentary and this is reflected in the level of service and what was on offer. Bearing in mind this is a budget hotel it was good value for money, although the car park was expensive at £12.00 per night. Ideal for a short visit. Collapse

stayed in the above property late august 2016 i had meetings booked in Windsor and was running late, on arrival at hotel i entered room and dropped of my bags at around 1430, returning about 0230 in the morning, showered and straight to bed, noticed that the occupant in the next room was quite loud and the TV excessively loud, being tired i chose to ignore this and went to sleep, however around 0430 something disturbed me, i awoke with a start to find a very drunken man leaning over me, he had come from the next room via the interconnecting doors,(apparently housekeeping had not checked locked them) i eventually got him to leave, rang reception and spoke to duty manager who logged complaint, 10 minuets later the TV was switched on again at full volume, i rang reception who said they would sort, however they never intervened at all, i called again after 15 minuets and this time they actually rang and went to his room but to no avail, i think the gentleman must have passed out next morning i tried to speak to the general manager and after a wait of about 1 hour spoke to him, he apologised profusely blaming housekeeping and as compensation offered 10000 reward points to stay for one night in another hotel belonging to the chain, this i accepted and was told the would do everything after about 6 weeks nothing had come through so my secretary rang to find out what was going on, promised a call back but no call back came, rang next day and again promised call back and none came, this believe it or not happened 5 times, we then contacted the head office to get things sorted which eventually they did by registering the 10,000 points, however no mention on the unprofessional attitude of management overall the hotel, room and breakfast was quite good however management by their lack of courtesy let it down the whole sittuation could have been a lot worse if I was a woman traveling on my own, also i had left personal possesions in the room I run my own company and am afraid to say if I treated my clients that way I would not have any PS 10000 points gets you nothing Collapse
