We stayed here 1 night before our flight. New hotel and ok size rooms although nothing close by. Buffet breakfast in the morning was included in price and as I don't recommend the scrambled eggs, the pastries and coffee were good.. They do NOT have a courtesy shuttle, it's 4 Euro per person, although other reviews have included instructions for a "free" shuttle. We'd stay here again before a flight. Collapse

The hotel is set away from the airport grounds, in a small village that is attached to the airport. Nothing here, just a residential area. Upon check in I was helped by a nice man, and was on my way to the room in 2 minutes. Nothing overly warm, but very efficient. Like the hotel, all is basic, limited wardrobe space, no real desk space to to extensive business. But nice enough for the (normally) one night you would stay at this type of airport hotel. This particular room was bigger than the standard Holiday Inn Express in Northern Europe. No way near as big as in the US though. But nevertheless big enough to move around. Even with big suitcases you would be able to swing a cat. Room was very clean, had a kettle and powder coffee and tea. Bathproducts were by Gilchrist and Soames, not normally found in HI express. But this is the one bottle does it all, type stuff. So don’t expect conditioner or shampoo. Its an all purpose wash; hair, hands, body. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but it all works. No fresh fruit this time of year, maybe in other seasons. But, real Italian coffee! There are three machines, two standard ones for the milk type drinks. And one that makes a descent espresso (for what it is). The Free Shuttle run by the airport (between terminal 1 and 2) works well, although from terminal 2 its actually at the exit of the terminal. Not far to walk at all. Ask the driver to stop at Case Nuove, from T2 if you get of the busstop its only 3 minutes walk to the hotel. Best thing, its free, and during the day till about 22.30 should run every 10 minutes. Would not recommend if carrying heave luggage though. The path from the busstop to the hotel is partly unpaved. I guess its not in the hotels interest to pave it all the way, as they ask from €4,- upwards for a one way trip per person. Which could save you when hauling heavy stuff! From T2 though, there is no regular service, only on calling the hotel. One thing, soundproofing is superb for the aircraft, hardly heard anything, except when opening the window. But internal soundproofing is quite poor. Also that had to do with a loud group arriving at midnight and leaving at 5 in the morning. They could have been a little more considerate, but you could hear all the conversation through the walls. Too tired to change I hoped for the best, although didn’t expect the 5 o’clock shouting... I guess with the right neigbours, or a call to front desk it might be resolved. I did not take that route. Don’t expect the world of this place, and it will serve you well. Collapse
Overnight - late arrival

A clean and functional which seemed to have plenty of parking and located close to Terminal 2. Not many frills but good value for money. Breakfast included - was fine. Tea and coffee provided in the rooms. I haven't seen that in many hotels in Italy.

This is round 1 mile from Malpensa airport of Milan. I stayed here with my daughter for one day on 7th Sept. It had all the pre-requisite specifications of a Holiday Inn Express standards. However, there was no restaurant and we had to find a restaurant for our dinner. The morning breakfast was good. The staff had their IHG touch. The most important incident is that I forgot my hand bag while boarding the free shuttle to the airport, outside the hotel entrance which contained my passport, cash etc. When I reached back the staff had kept the bag in safe custody secured. I dont know if it is the staff there or any other customer who had happened to see the bag and handed over at the counter. But this gesture has saved me a lot. Collapse

If you arrive at Milan-Malpensa airport at a late hour and you need a place to stay till the next morning, this is much cheaper than staying at the airport. There is a shuttle service at 4 euro per person to/from both terminals during the regular hours and 8 euros after - you just have to phone. We paid 16 euros for both of us to get to the hotel, and we waited less than 10 minutes for it to arrive. The next morning I went alone with the shuttle to pick up my rental car. The Hotel is a typical one nighter, very modern building, spacious and very clean bathroom. Room a bit small and I am not sure if they change the bed linen every day. No cupboard, since you are not going to unpack, just enough hanging space for the next day's clothing. Breakfast OK, just what you would expect of a fast food no waiter buffet service. In short not a place to spend a holiday but excellent one nighter! Collapse
