Arriving to Malaga past midnight, an airport hotel sounds a nice and easy solution, especially as it didn't seem possible to access a rent a car at that time (in fact it was possible). This hotel was a mistake, a bad choice. There is no transfer to & fr the Malaga airport. If you read their information carefully you will find that the information is subtle and it is easy to perceive it is. There is no transfer at any time! And although you can see the hotel, there is a fixed surcharge of 19 euro at night, the same as going with the taxi to a better hotel in Malaga city. You cannot walk to the hotel. In the morning you have the option to take the city-airport bus back to the airport, said to be at a bus stop fairly close by, the euro pp and no exact time table (only what time it leaves Malaga city). The rooms was clean but no coat hanger and the tiny area crammed with an extra bed and a baby bed although not asked for. Soap-schampoo-conditioner 'all in one', hrm. Breakfast ha! The plastic trays have paper napkins that they do not bother to change between customers. The bread is unhealthy white toast as the only bread. The croissants taste really old as if baked with old stale butter, completely unedible. Etc etc. My recommendation - this is not a good and practical choice for late arrivals! Take the cab downtown to a well run small hotel for the same price. Don't get fooled by the hotel name 'airport hotel'. Collapse

The hotel and staff are fine for the price and bearing in mind its an airport hotel .Breakfast self serve is also put out for early starters .But the lack of airport transfer is poor as taxi rank can be very busy and buses exist but obviously to a limited timetable .It can be walked in 15 minutes from the terminal - easy enough in the morning with directions from the hotel but less so if arriving in the dark .Taxi 's go there - but claimed a minimum 20 Euro fare Collapse

I stayed at the Malaga hotel recently (just my baby and I) and at 1am in the morning I was woken up to find a stranger - a tall man in my room whilst my daughter and I slept. I jumped out of bed and pushed him out and locked the door. I didn't sleep the rest of that night. The hotel offered 20% to be refunded on the following Monday but no money was ever refunded. I then had the inconvenience of having to Iog a complaint on the IHG service email (through the official head of the company website) and all they offered was a few points towards a stay. I responded to the email and 12 days later i still haven't heard back from them. I tweeted them but they just said " contact the hotel" and fobbed me off. I can't believe the hotel breached security and only offered points that didn't even cover 1 nights stay anywhere. Scary that they don't ask for names staying in the hotel room and just give keys out to any random strangers. My husband travel all around the world and never will we ever stay in a Holiday Inn ever again. Shame that they don't understand customer service. Thank god I was able to get that stranger man out of my bedroom, otherwise that stay could have ended very differently. Safety first, Holiday inn don't care! Collapse

We needed a place to stay overnight as we had an early flight the next morning. this location is pretty much up to the IHG standard and we had no problems staying here. If the price is right and we had to be in the area again, we would probably stay here. Location: Very close to Malaga airport. The city center of Malaga can be reached via public bus (the bus stop location is about a 5 minute walk) or you can opt to drive. There are mostly car parks and gas stations near the hotel. Check-in/out: We had no issues checking in/out. The staff here were so helpful and there was plenty of information regarding getting to the city center. Rooms: The AC worked great. Our room was kept cool especially with the summer heat sizzling. The beds were fine, we stayed 2 nights and had no issues. Bathrooms were fine. Europe has this thing where they put a half glass partition on the tub. I don't really know the benefit of this as water splashed everywhere and onto the floor. Price and other amenities: The price worked well with our budget and there is a complimentary breakfast which was nice. Lots of breads, deli meats and pastries. They also have a dinner menu if you don't want to go out. We ate dinner here our first night and was really surprised at how good our meal was. We ordered the club sandwich, chicken wings and a rice dish. The club sandwich is huge and can be shared for 2 people. Chicken wings had lots of flavor and were fried to the right crisp. The rice dish was just ok for us, probably would not order again. Wifi worked great in all parts of the hotel. Parking available on site and no charge. Collapse
