The hotel was chosen for its location close as to things that we needed to do in London. It was a pleasant surprise as it had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. There is a bar/ restaurant in the foyer and the staff were very professional and friendly. It is only a short walk to the railway station. Chose room facing away from the busy road. Great value Collapse
Had to give a 4/5 but still recommend to everyone.

Stayed one night on June 8, 2017. Nice location. Smooth check-in, warm welcome. Request the large windows if possible and receive an accessible corner room with two side of large windows upon check in. Platinum status recognized and received 300 points. Holiday Inn Express usually doesn't have a mini-fridge. Have to ask the front desk to store something in the fridge but being denied. However they give me some ice in order for me to store some yogurt overnight. Thanks to all the front desk staff during that evening, they are all very nice. Have to minus 1 star because a fire alarm rang around 2 am. Quite a long time. And starting then I didn't get asleep.... No explanation or apologies the next morning, but maybe it's because I didn't raise it up. I do understand it's not the fault by the hotel, but this really hurt my night. Will give a 4.5 star if half ratings are allowed. Sorry to be mean but I still recommend this to everyone. By the way, breakfast is very good, food 4.5/5, environment 5/5, service 5/5. Even better than Holiday Inns. Collapse

I stayed here on a Friday night so that I could attend an event in the City. I received a nice welcome from Reception staff who retrieved my reservation details quickly and they acknowledged my IHG Rewards Club membership, which meant I was offered a choice of 3 rooms. I chose a quiet one to the rear of the hotel on the 2nd floor. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious with twin beds. It had a big bathroom with a large walk-in tiled shower cubicle with easy to use controls for the shower. There were lashings of hot water and a plentiful supply of fresh clean towels on the shelf beneath the sink. There was air conditioning which was controlled via a panel on the bedroom wall. The room was rather hot when I arrived, but I got it down to a more reasonable temperature in no time. The window did open, but only a crack. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was a buffet self-service style affair served in the lobby next to Reception. The breakfast was excellent: There was a choice of a Continental-style breakfast with cereals, porridge, bread/toast with butter & jam and a selection of pastries and fresh, warm croissants or a traditional English breakfast from hot plates including bacon, egg & baked beans. There was also a limited selection of fresh fruit. Hot drinks were from an automatic dispenser and there was a choice of ceramic cups or paper 'to go' cups which was a very nice touch. Another thoughtful touch was the complementary newspaper from Reception, the "I" which I happily read while eating my breakfast. My only negative comment relates to another group of guests who were in a nearby room on my floor - probably a stag party. They thought it was funny to repeatedly knock on my door as they passed it as I had the 'do not disturb' sign on the door handle. I suffer from a sleep disorder which means I struggle to get back to sleep if woken suddenly. This is in no way the fault of the hotel & I was unable to ascertain which room they were in, so didn't report it. But I did have a bad night's sleep because of them. The hotel itself is quite a distance from Ealing Broadway station - it took me 30 minutes to walk there. I eventually used buses to get to & fro from Ealing Broadway and there are plenty of those! I highly recommend this hotel - staff are professional and courteous & do their utmost to make your stay a pleasant one. Collapse

I was for a business trip in London for a weeks time and chose to stay somewhere in west London. As I was a long staying guest & because of my preference they gave me a quite room which was quite inside. The rooms are bright which I really appreciate in a hotel. Room size is quite big in comparison to what one finds in London. Hotel staff are really warm. They serve typical English breakfast which is good (loved their scrambled egg). Extra 1 point for location which is quite good and surrounded by couple of good eatery options. Though it's not very near to the MRT but one can take a bus from across the street which can drop you to the nearest MRT station (conditionally you have your Oyster Card). I had a great stay here and won't mind staying here again. Collapse
