Stayed over as I was in Liverpool for a family party. Room was generally pretty clean, noticed my pillow case was stained, phoned reception and it was changed within 5 mins. Don't have any draft beers/ciders even though they have taps, just all bottled drinks. Breakfast wasn't much to write home about, buffet style with very little choice. Served its purpose for an overnight stay, but wouldn't want to stay any longer than that. Collapse

We stayed here one night and had planned to stay for two nights. On the phone app it states that there is a £5 charge for parking but one good thing is that parking is actually plentiful and free. Check-in was efficient and the staff were very pleasant. Our problem was that we found the mattress on the bed very firm and that noise from people opening and closing doors was disturbing during the night. As a result of both these issues, we slept very poorly. A further problem was that it was a hot day and the room was thus uncomfortably hot with no air conditioning available. Unfortunately the wifi was also not working and the receptionist was very frustrated about it, saying it was constantly failing and harming the reputation of the hotel. On the positive side, the hotel is bright and attractive and the breakfast is much better than often found in this chain. Sadly, because we slept so poorly, we cancelled our second night and went elsewhere. Collapse
Great value with parking included. Good location.

We were flying to Paris early morning so we decided to stay over. We arrived on a sunny Sunday evening after spending the day at Speke Hall and checked in. The room was booked direct with the hotel and whilst booking I noticed you can leave you car there for £5 a day instead of parking at the airport. Total for one nights accommodation with breakfast and parking for 6 nights was £87 which I thought was amazing value. There are barriers and cameras in and around the hotel. The room was large with a great bathroom and all the facilities you would expect. We had a view over the garden centre which was nice. There is a restaurant and bar within the hotel, but it is a little more expensive than outside. We walked to the local Toby Carvery which was only £9.99 each. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We came down for breakfast which was a self service and really nice. Cereals, juices, toast, full cooked with tea/coffee, etc. Nice clean dining area. We then enquired about a taxi, reception called us a taxi and went to wait outside. If the taxi drops you at the 'free car park' it will cost you £3. If you want to be dropped off near 'Departures', it will cost you an extra £2. We went for the cheapest, it's only a 3 minute walk. Great holiday, back at the airport and I couldn't remember the name of the taxi we had on the way there, so I rang the hotel and said could the same taxi pick us up as I didn't want to use the black cabs waiting outside the airport. Well, this didn't seem to be an option at first as the receptionist explained they only usually organise for one way. After a couple of minutes, he relented and rang the taxi company, who were happy to come and collect us from the free car park at a cost of £2.70. (Gave him a fiver!). When you check in they take £30 on your card, which stays as a 'pending' transaction I assume until you check out, then they refund it. However, after 7 days, it was still pending so the boyfriend went in to reception to check. Not sure why it had not cancelled but the receptionist was helpful and did it straight away. All in all, great location, good nights sleep and value for money. I would definitely stay again. Makes rushing to the airport less stressful! Nice chatty staff. Well done. Collapse

Visited on 28th April 2017 for 3 nights using this hotel as a much cheaper base from which to travel into and explore Liverpool and to meet with friends who flew in to see us. They were also hotel guests. Our booking cost £383 for two family rooms between 4 adults and 3 children including breakfast which all in all was excellent value. We had rooms 415 and 416 on the 4th floor which overlooked the car parking available at the back of the hotel and in the distance John Lennon Airport could also be seen. Rooms on the other side presumably look out over Dobbies Garden Centre next door to the hotel and further out towards the Speke Boulevard Dual Carriageway. The rooms were fairly spacious, clean and well equipped. Bathroom was a good size and the door was cleverly designed so that it was possible to separate the toilet from the rest of the bathroom. There was also a sink with a mirror on the wall, shower with complimentary toiletries and tissues and ample fresh and quality towels were provided on a daily basis. Our rooms each had a double bed and a sofa bed was already made up in each room that could have easily accommodated a further two adults. There was also handy bedside shelving and lighting, a TV, ample clothing and storage space and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel bar and restaurant area had ample comfortable seating and even a meeting room was opened up to accommodate guests at the busiest breakfast time. It is a nice area in which to relax, watch TV and enjoy a drink. We also noticed that pizza and bar snacks were available, which did smell very appetizing from the car park but regrettably we did not get the chance to indulge. Breakfast was plentiful and varied with everything from a choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt to cooked sausages, scrambled eggs and beans and with a selection of breads, croissants and pastries. Juice and coffee machines are also available for use. Interestingly and helpfully information is displayed within the lifts indicating which times during the breakfast service period are the busiest. The hotel itself is very clean and modern and all staff encountered were very helpful, friendly and especially good with the children. Free local and national newspapers were also available from the hotel reception as was an information section including leaflets on local attractions and computer facilities. Toilet facilities are also available in the reception area as are two lifts and stairs. We also made use of the luggage trolley available which was very handy and saved us a lot of time in transporting our huge amount of luggage from the car to the room. WIFI was also available free of charge and had a good signal throughout the hotel. Check in was from 2pm and check-out is at 11am. Reception is 24 hour and they are also able to book taxis. The hotel car park was actually free to use and even when busy there were ample spaces around the back of the hotel. Driving up to the barrier allows entry and the exit code is available from reception which is changed daily. Although the hotel is off airport and as such long term parking options aren’t available for airport users, there is actually a huge off-site airport car park and ride service located just around the corner from the hotel and is our preferred parking option with regards to LJLA. Only two small minor issues encountered were the cigarette smoke sometimes creeping into the reception area from those inconsiderately lighting up just outside the entrance and a website error which resulted in us being charged three times as much for our family rooms, for which numerous apologies were given and an immediate refund actioned even prior to arriving at the hotel. The airport is less than 5 minutes ride from the hotel and taxis and buses are available to get you to and from the airport. Access to Liverpool city centre is also easy from the hotel and in little traffic would take no longer than 15 minutes to drive or else direct bus services are available. In the area around the hotel area you also have the garden centre which has an excellent cafe and within close proximity there is also a Toby Carvery and a petrol station. A little further along from this at Speke there is also a Morrison’s and TK Maxx etc whilst in the other direction (towards Liverpool) there is a huge retail park just a few mins drive from the hotel which includes many of the major high street stores. Liverpool is such an amazing and clean city with so very much to see and do. We would highly recommend this brilliant hotel to others and would not hesitate to return ourselves. It is perfect whether you are looking for somewhere to stay before the airport or just a cheaper alternative to accommodation in central Liverpool. We really enjoyed our stay here and can’t really fault the place at all. Collapse

A good, quiet location, with free and plentiful car parking. Welcoming and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. We had an evening meal at the botel and although not many choices we enjoyed what we had...plus a bottle of complimentary wine as it was my birthday which was a lovely gesture. We found this hotel to be excellent value for money and would stay there again as Liverpool is worthy of several visits. Collapse
