We were part of a coach trip staying here after a day at Wimbledon. The room was clean with all the usual facilities and the beds were comfy with a pleasant temperature. The thing that let it down was the poor breakfast; overly herby sausages, sloppy scrambled egg and cheap beans. Plus even though it was 7.45am and they knew they had two coach loads booked in they had run out of bread.... also cutlery not ready, not enough seats etc. They should be better organised and tell the parties certain times. Lovely airport hotel

Booked one night with parking. Wasn't expecting much but it exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff, lovely room and good quality food. Car had a flat battery on returning and the duty manager sorted for us.

I have stayed here four times over the past two years. At first, nice low key hotel conveniently located between Three Bridges and Crawley train stations, as well as a short taxi ride to/from Gatwick Airport. Front desk staff always polite and professional with a happy to help attitude. Breakfast on the first day is great.. sausages, scrambled egg and baked beans.. after five day of the same I venture into a nearby café to get variety of breakfast food. Rooms pretty standard and functional for what you pay, no complaints generally. My recent trip changed my opinion entirely..... The first warning signs was the two heavily laden tourists buses in the car park. Being near the airport, you would expect a good number of tourists however it seems HIE is now targeting the mass tourist market to the point the hotel cannot cope with the numbers nor associated issues that arise. We suffered sleepless nights of Chinese tourists the floor above either fighting or practising gymnastics until 0400, followed by an all night lovely foul mouthed domestic dispute in the adjacent room to ours on the second floor. These things often happen in larger hotels however I would not classify this hotel as large, especially with limited amenities and staff on hand. Having made a complaint to front desk regarding the continual noise from the floor above, I was called back by a very abrupt and defensive member of staff Christine who questioned why I phoned her colleague complaining... it was 0300 in the morning. I duly pointed out that if she or any other member of staff could make efforts to stop the noise it would be appreciated. I received a mumbled apology and further suggested she call the duty manager or better still the police as it did not sound like a someone conducting bedroom aerobics. Nothing happened and the noise only became worse. With large number of package tourists, the small breakfast area is literally overwhelmed. I was in no rush so waited for the crowds to move on but for any seasoned travel with a time agenda, you will get stuck. On this trip I noticed house keeping staff were either very disgruntled or just lacked basic communication skills, such as Good morning, would you like more towels... Upon entering my room I found what was the floor towel only so went along the corridor and asked a house keeping person if I could have an extra towel. A look of distain followed so I just took one form the trolley... and thus this was repeated each day thereafter. The long hair in my bathroom sink was a clue that things were not right with house keeping and I also noticed what looked like a make up stain on my bed pillow.... yuk. I did a Gordon Ramsey on the room and truly wish I had not... have a look under the bed and see for yourself... absolutely disgusting. IHE you have either lost the plot or are stepping into a market you have no concept nor identity... either way, you have lost my future business. Collapse

We stayed here the night before a two week break flying from Gatwick. The carpark is big and we were able to park right in front of the entrance. The car park is monitored 24 hours a day. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. You don't get any complimentary toiletries so make sure u pack a shower gel! Staff were very helpful and polite and our stay was pleasurable. The breakfast was a busy free for all so if you want a quiet enjoyable breakfast I would suggest the harvester next door! The buses are regular to the south terminal with a two minute shuttle to the north. Would stay here again! Collapse
