Together with my boy and an old friend, I spent 4 nights in this hotel - between 5th-9th of February 2017. We visited thus, for the first time UAE and Dubai, as tourists... This hotel was chosen by me (according to maps, hints, advices and reviews published by Trip Advisor) and booked by a Romanian tourist agency. Ckeck-in and check-out were effective, prompt and correct. Front desk services were provided in a friendly and efficient manner - many thanks to Nina and Karim for their smiles and efficient help to solve promptly some issues of our room: - The third bed of our room was not provided with draps, pillows, blanket at our arrival - The electrical bulb of shower room was not operational at our arrival Comfort of room, beds and bath room was more than satisfactory... Wi-Fi connection/ speed and variety of TV programs were provided according to our requirements. Room furniture and cleanliness were excellent... In our room, some electrical outlets (according to 4 pins British model) were adapted to allow the connection of European 2-3 pins connectors (for 220-250V)... News-papers were available free of charge near the breakfast room. The Dubai's tourist map was avaiialble on paper (free of charge) at front desk and a tourist small office proposed some touristic tours within the town of Dubai. Unfortunately, the offer of breakfast food was the quite the same, every day. In my capacity of EOQ - Quality Auditor and EFQM Assessor, I would like to propose to hotel managers the following improvement ideas: 1.Develop the variety of breakfast food choices 2.Inform visitors - by posters at Reception Desk - about all available (free and costly) hotel services 3.Inform visitors - by a map displayed at Reception Desk - about local tourist attractions, public and private transport conditions (including Big Bus)... 4.Add a swimming pool - on roof terrace... Many thanks and congratulations for the QUALITY of services provided by this hotel... Collapse

I travelled with two friends Estel and ka Janet from Philippines to Dubai 9 hours flight and stayed at Holiday Inn Express , Jumeira. This place is very accessible to different historical places, fantastic buildings, amazing food. It's not expensive, very clean, and most of all free breakfast which saves us a lot. Buffet Breakfast is healthy lots of choices form cereals, eggs, bread, salad. Yougart, diffrent, vegetable curry, sausages, fries and potataoes. Monica, maitrre D of the dinning room is very accommodating, friendly, caters to individual needs and has a beautiful smiling face which brightens up r day. She is very courteous too. When I booked this hotel, I just saw it's near the beach area. (Plus free shuttle to the beach). But ka Janet's relatives that workes in Dubai said that Jumeira is like where the elite lives. And truly the place is full of villas, medical offices and white sand beach which I learned is very salty. Lots of old n new era to see. And the best and thrilling part is the safari desert experience not to miss with belly dancing at night. I recommend also the Abu Dhabi day trip. If interested to go to Dubai u can ask me. I will be glad to send u a good response. Collapse

Stayed here for a week. It really is quite poor but is quite cheap for Dubai. The hotel is opposite the dry dock. Reception is functional but not glamorous. Check in was smooth as was check out. The room was poor really. Not that clean and fairly worn out. I'm not sure there is much hoovering going on!! The bed was ok and was clean to be fair. My water was not topped up daily. There was a safe in the wardrobe. The shower cubical whilst being functional was small and clunky! My major gripe is the noise front other guests and toilets. The walls must be made from cardboard!! The breakfast is basic. Very basic in fact. Coffee and toast with a limited selection of egg type stuff, chicken sausage etc. Water melon for fruit. Not good enough these days! The bar is horrible, expensive but the burger was OK. If you like darts, you are in luck!! Ok so this is a budget hotel, but there is an ibis round the corner and a Radison a bit further (no doubt more cash) with am amazingly good and cheap Thai restaurant. I won't be going back. Collapse

We booked and paid for this hotel several Months ago, we turned up today at 2.30am after along flight to be told that there were no rooms for us. The front desk have done very little to find us alternative accommodation. There are several other people in the same situation just lying around the lobby of the Hotel. It's a farce and the Holiday Inn chain should hold its head in shame. I have given it one star because there is no box for a Zero mark. I am totally astonished at the way they treat their customers. The clown at the front desk just keeps making lame excuses and ignoring the guests. Just be Very aware of this warning if you are thinking about using this hotel, you could end up not getting a room like all the guests in the lobby tonight. Try and find somewhere decent, this place is the Pits. Collapse
