Disgusting! Last night I had the misfortune of being booked into this hotel for three nights for work. It's filthy! The rooms are filthy, the carpets are filthy, the chairs in the rooms are filthy, even the monitor on the reception desk is filthy. On my first night I was checked into room 302 - I came back to find the manager to ask if he was taking the mick as I was convinced there must be candid cameras in there. The room was full of stains I couldn't take my shoes off, the wallpaper was held onto the wall with masking tape (literally), and the outside of the kettle was brown with scratches and dirt that I questioned why they dared bother to PAT test it. The chair in the room was covered in bodily fluids and the telephone had no buttons on it and didn't work. Even the manager came and took photos of the problems - after first telling me they never come and inspect the rooms. What a joke! I don't even know builders who would tolerate the state of this hole if they were sleeping rough on a building site. The manager moved me to room 305 which had a clean white kettle and less stains on the carpet but still has missing grout on the bathroom floor tiles so they move, chips on every surface, no working heating or air conditioning - just a cheap fan heater in the corner of the room that you can't leave on all night as it's so noisy and a potential fire hazard, brown stained white lampshades, wallpaper hanging off the wall in the new room too. It's scary to put your head on the pillow so I practically slept fully clothed. Absolutely disgraceful experience. My breakfast comprised a tasteless watery scrambled egg and a cheap Tesco sausage. Oh and a thimble sized glass to make sure I didn't drink too much of their watered down concentrated apple juice. I ended up just eating an apple. To add insult to injury, I just come 'home' from a long day at work to find the cleaner couldn't be bothered to provide more coffee - or even wash my coffee cup! I called reception to ask for coffee and a clean cup and was met with 'It's not my job' (er, yes it is as you work here), 'it's a different cleaning company' (not my concern, as I paid you), 'you can't ask me to leave reception' (er, it's the least you can do) and 'put that on social media' (clearly not very bright). So, here you go social media. This place is shocking so don't waste your money here. It's like a rotten student dorm and they have the cheek to charge £70+ a night for it. Also, its on a huge dual carriageway near Star City and the windows are not acoustic so you can hear every car drive past. So, cold, dirty, noisy, untrained staff, not cleaned every day as you would expect. I'll upload photos as soon as I'm on a fast network - not the hotel's wifi Collapse
Cheap and cheerful!

We stayed here for 1 night at just £45 including breakfast. I thought this was a great price! The rooms are good and spacious, the breakfast was good as much as you need. Wouldn't say its a big fry up but the basics are there and its help yourself. The rooms have plug in heaters in case it gets cold but this wasn't an issue for us. The location is great, i'd say to walk to Star City is around 10 minutes but to drive its literally a few minutes. Parking is free at the hotel and at Star City and the Wi-Fi was good. Collapse

We were allocated a very spacious room, it was however a bit cold but there was a fan heater supplied ( which indicated there was a heating problem) and it was soon cosy and warm. Had a good sleep, no disturbance at all. We had an early flight from BHX and the hotel very kindly arranged for an early continental breakfast. Great service for the price we paid. Would certainly use again. Collapse

Absolutely bad service. I arrived at the hotel to find a sign that said they were having problems with their heating system, It was a very cold night. Tired I was given a room with no heating. After complaining. I was moved to another room with a small electric heater because the heating was also not working in that room. I hardly slept due to being so cold and after complaining the following morning I got a halfhearted apology. I pointed out the on such a cold night these rooms should not have been sold. I will never visit there again Collapse
